  • Respect man! I wonder if you can do it in a row - i mean in one piece. I think there isn't much rest in every descent, but nevertheless - respect.

  • is that a 1.5" or 2" rope? i hope to climb it one day, i want to train for it.

  • good video i mean the background and sound awesome,oh!by the way ,you dominate the rope climbing fast enough

  • with all the respect ales novac is the record holder but I 'm your fan number 1 You are a source of motivation

  • yea im sorry but theres no way that is 22 meters unless those guys are 3 to 4 feet tall which i doubt

  • @lilplaya205 Hi man, the rope is 5 metres long.... I climb up it 4.5 times. 4.5 x 5 =? Train hard - cheers!

  • @marcusbondi train hard... and bring a calculator i guess haha

  • @lilplaya205 He climbed multiple times equaling 22.5 meters lol. How didnt you understand that :P

  • @lilplaya205 I just wanted to point out that not only did you fail to count how many times he went up the rope in 60s (title) but you think that cutting the people in the video by 40% (not even half!) would make the rope 4.5 times as long giving your complaint (I mean after the complete fail of the 4.5x in 60s) a whoping math fail as well. Thanks for posting, you're going to be my next demotivational poster.

  • RESPECT.

  • Bodyweight is the way forward! True strength!

  • @marcusbondi

    Wow thats awesome!

How long did you train for it?

  • Thats soooo crazy man. i can't even get up a 20 foot one once :(

  • How many pushups fo you do

  • thats not 22.5 meters!!! Thats maybe 8 meters

  • @TheInGenCO Have you seen all the video ?

  • Wow, that's INSANE!

  • duuuuddeee... i want your arms!!!!!!!! nice

  • that is so dam easy!?

  • wow omg !!! how the hell do you do that!!! at first i was like that ropes not 22m whos he trying to fool, but the guy goes up and down up and down whens it gona end lol haha thats amazing...is this you? the guy who posted the vidoe?

  • hi spartan! thx 4 yr comments! yes that's me - there's a group of us who train bodyweight at bondi beach, aged from 15 to 50. best cheers; train hard!

  • i so envy u, i love working out, but after 2 years you wish you had other ppl doing the same things with ya to keep ya going, but all ma friends quit gym and exercise after a few months, cant believe something was happening like that in bondi, next time i go bondi im gona try spot yas lol aniwaiz

  • spartan - awesome! you are 100% welcome! cheers!

  • @marcusbondi Wow. that is true strength. can you do a one arm chin up? that is my ultimate goal for this year. I can only do 5 or 6 chin ups with an xtra 25lbs on me. what is your workout like?

  • @MrOther912 - hi - yes pls check my other clips for one arm chins etc - we train all bodyweight only. train hard - cheers.

  • @MrOther912 First things first... Do pullups

  • Beast. All you people bashing should upload a video better, or shut it!

  • Thanks Garett ! Keep training hard - cheers!

  • thats really impressive

  • Awesome climb!

You gotta love the Youtube Police. Where would we be without them telling us how we're doing it wrong? LOL!

  • Ha! Thanks Joe - keep training hard mate! Best cheers! Marcus

  • Sorry but I know there are people who have climbed higher ropes than that.

I myself have climbed ropes that high using no feet -- it's not that hard.

  • @rrpauldoran um... that's not a clip - that's an excuse. If it's not on youtube, it doesn't exist. train harder.

  • search "rope climbing" on youtube and I guarantee you'll find higher ones

  • @rrpauldoran -You are wrong again, as uaual. I know this to be a world record. If you can't prove otherwise, which, of course, you can't; then the record stays. But then again, it should be easy for you to break LOL! Let me know when you break it; which will be never.... but train hard regardless; it's your only hope.

  • Very fun to cllimb ropes without legs!!!

  • Omg nice !

  • That is like 40 feet not even

  • its a total of 100ft

  • where is this rope on bondi???

  • That's just beast.

  • that is extremely impressive, but it's more like 30 ft., not 100.

  • Marcusbondi! I miss Marcus!!! This is one! The video that started it. So glad u continued to post vids and cant wait to meet again.

Will be in AU one day working out like a beast wit u in the future!!!!!

  • hi slikric - miss training with u & the crew in NYC man! hope to c u all soon! cheeers

  • yes yes yes!

  • wow thats very high strength mass ratio. must you be able to do 1 arm pullups?

  • thats pretty much what he's doing there :P

  • good,hard to do.

  • I love to do rope climbing. It´s very hard cause I am a heavy guy but I can do it. In a gymnastics training gym I climb like 8 or 10 meters I don´t know the length but I did it. I agree with marcusbondi, the climb down it´s pretty hard and he(marcusbondi) climbed 100ft. it´s obvious. I think that the climb down is harder than having a rest with an isometrical contraction every 7 meter. keep going marcus!

  • Im impressed

  • man im burnt when i do it about 3 times lol

  • Dude! That was pretty sick man! But it looks like it was too easy for you! It seemed like you hade one more lenght in you, and that is sick! :)

  • that was off the fuckn hook !!! and i thought i was the fuck man!!! i have to try that asap!

  • what is the rope's diameter? It looks huge!

Try it with rappelling rope next time.

  • you are a SAVAGE. period

  • if this is 100 ft, my penis is 2 ft long

  • hi typaholic - the rope is 7 metres long - about 21 ft... it is climbed up 4 times AND down 4 times.. that makes the total climb over 100 ft. cheers.

  • Hi DrBjamin - gravity makes the climb down very hard; you have to use a lot of controlled strength to fight the gravity on the way down, to avoid simply just 'falling/sliding', and that would be using gravity... but you would die... train hard. cheers.

  • ....I know... what I said was called "sarcasm".

  • hi DrBjamin - sure, I understand and enjoy 'sarcasm' as a genre of social humour... but it doesn't really translate too well in text. but kudos for bringing it on. cheeers!

  • No offence, but I have to agree with both of you for a bit, but In my oppinion, its indeed harder to climb 100m UP then 50 up and 50 down ...

It also requires strength to climb down, totally agreed on that part, but its just harder to climb up then down ... atleast that's how I experience ropeclimbing (love doing it :D)

ps: Try using arms only, and do it upside down, it goes like your ass above your head and legs spread, and then start climbing (awesome :D)

    cheers!

  • typaholic, you should definately buy a ruler. I know, I know, you've always used your penis and it is always with you, but it seems to no longer be a reliable measuring tool.

  • Awesome Ozzi Marcus! ;-) Luv your vids! Keep posting them please!

    Greetings from Belgium

  • Hi Pantera - cheers bro - thanks for watching! Train hard!

  • I've seen many variations that demonstrate strength and endurance when applied to bodyweight exercises, but I've yet so see anyone climb at such a speed, for such a distance. Outstanding Marcus!

  • Hi eab - thanks mate; your vids are awesome - train hard. Cheers.

  • nice job! I like rope climbing too, damn i need to buy a rope and start training :D

  • wow hes strong

  • Holy crap. That was insane endurance. Do it upside down once and I would be impressed.

  • Very quick, 5 stars

  • wow, you have the strength of a professional olympic wrestler

  • Thanks for inspiring me to purchase a rope myself.

I'd be honoured if you'd give my latest flick a peek.

I'll keep training hard, as you like to put it, in order to manage at least 3 repetitions by the end of the summer.

  • Marcusbondi, as a fellow rope-climber, I just want to say yours is a SERIOUS display of strength and endurance here. A few questions: How high is that rope? What is the diameter of the rope? How much do you weigh? I began rope climbing in 1998 and am no where near this level yet. Keep Climbing!

  • hiya magna! gr8 to hear from other ropers! the rope is 7 m (23 ft), diameter- about 5cm(2 inch) - I weigh 83kg (183lb). keep training hard; cheers bro!

  • Geez! 'Impressive' is the only word I can come up with here. Thanks for the info.

  • climbing down hahaha lololol

  • It's easy, they're in Australia, he's actually climbing down. ;)

  • soooo strong!!!

  • Wow, don't slip!! Great job!

  • Awesome! Congratulations!!

  • keep him in the circus, he's a beast

  • wow! i think i could do one chin up perhaps lol

  • This is one of the best rope climbing videos of all time. The skill, the setting, etc. How does one attain this level of strength and skill? Do you start with a wide variety of rope-based pullups? Climbers have the best physiques and tons of functional strength, I aim for the same.

  • Hi hrhadam; thx 4 your kind words. Climbing LOTS of rope is the best training 4 climbing rope; you can also do 'rope chins' by hanging a rolled towel over a chinning bar. Train hard, best cheers!

  • Got it. Seems that a skilled rope climber is basically performing constant 1-armed pullups from the rope to make his way up.....

  • That's just crazy endurance man, gotta hand it to ya. I thought I climbed alot of rope but I've always been more of a power kinda guy. Seems like you got the best of both worlds. Good training Marcus!

  • Hi ableteam; many thanks 4 watching! Your amazing, legendary vids of versatility, skill & strength are awesome & inspirational! Best regards! ps- If you ever come to Aust, pls come train with us!!!

  • freak! keep it in the circus! lol nice work

  • u guys are machines

  • Question for you. What is the size of the rope that you climb? How think? I am looking into rope climbing and cannot find info.

  • it's about 2 inches - and mad of cotton, but you can get ropes from gym supply companies omn the net - just google around -- cheers - train hard!

  • Nice man, that was sick. xD

  • Nice one! I have always loves climbing ropes and lamp-posts, since i was around 13 i can climb up without my legs and quickly, never tried reps like that tho which is impressive. since i left school i have no rope to climb! what rope would u suggest buying to stick up a tree without ripping the hands? cheers

  • hey ace- it's a great exercise IMHO! -cotton ropes are best, but try a gym supply website...for hemp...train hard, climb hard!

  • ...good job...I just have to point out the guy that was doing push ups in the foreground...now that is a REAL exercise, anybody can climb a rope many times but only a select few can do a couple of push ups!...

  • i have to admit, that was pretty cool man, hope u post some more videos like that

  • Hey Marcus. Thanks again for that info. because I've entered the Ninja Warrior contest. I'm not as good as you yet but I'm training hard. Check out the entry video and write me back so I can give you the contest info. Thanks!

  • Holy shit dude.. that's awesome. I need to do somethin like that..

  • Thanks. I'm working on pull-ups and rope climbing right now. So thanks for the info!

  • WoW!!!That was incredible!!!keep it up

  • Whew!! Do you do one arm pull-ups? The reach and pull are so long. Nice climbing.

  • Not only incredible strength endurance, but you did it very quickly. Excellent work.

  • Cheers Jedd; thank you. I like your site and training tips. Way to go!

  • Glad to hear you like the site bud. You should write a rope climbing article for us, man.

  • Wow! congratulations!
