What an awful video. The solo wasn't impressive at all. His performance was just him biting blood packets and making stupid faces. The only interesting thing about this video is when it goes dark and Simmons "Flies" to the top of the stage. I regret watching.
@Billinois78 A solo is also commonly used as a musical composition with one musician performing. Calling it a 'bass solo' is infering that it will be a solo using the bass guitar. He's a decent musician, but a God awful person.
Lets be honest, musically, the bass solo is basic, but it is the performance itself that makes it good, I would rather watch Gene perform this any day over someone sitting on a stool playing a 'lightning' fast bass solo.

he didn't have blood capsules in his mouth. before they would do this, hed take a drink of fake blood he kept in a cup and would just hold it there til he was ready to use it.
@DirtyRottenInsult First of all. There should never be a FUCKING BASS solo. Bass just adds background. You may as well crank up bass on your amp for the elec geetar...haahaa bass is like the least important thing in a band sorry. Some say drummer just keeps beat...wayy more...guitar is the soul...vocals make u remember and the bass does what? adds a lil thunder
