Cutting in toward one's horse is rarely a good idea. Slashing down and out is more appropriate.

My Grandfather was in the 15th Kings Hussars in 1895 in India, and went to the RFC ( RAF) when they went to tanks. Then shot down by Von Richtofen. ( #3)
