  • MPG can only be measured when the engine is running and fuel is being used. You can't just say the car went 100 miles but the engine only switched on a few times to cover say 35miles so it did 100MPG. It clearly didn't, it did 35MPG and the rest was using electric. Stop trying to lie to people and mislead them. You show me one Prius that can do 100MPG on the engine with normal petrol and with the electric motor disabled. You can't because you lied about the test.

    .

    What a waste of time.

  • Here is the truth. The electric car can do 150 miles per gallon. That is 7x's more than a regular gasoline car. For example, we can convert by using the price we pay for electricity in comparison to miles travelled per gallon of gasoline. Who cares. Stop bragging about mpg. Its all about the environment.

  • Liberals, Doesn't need to make sense if it FEELS GOOD. Emotions are more important than facts.

Nice Coal Powered Car!! Locomotives 100 years ago were more efficient that your pile.

  • I agree. I especially love the performance of Hybrids, 0-60 in a minute flat! hahah

  • @savemefrommyfelf Only because once a train is moving it uses very little energy to keep moving.

  • solar powered homes will energize the plugin

vehicle free...without tapping the utility companies.

  • I don't get it. Plugging in a car just requires your power to be drawn from your local power company... They get the power normally by burning fossil fuels. What are you trying to accomplish?

  • @SpecialAgentBob1234

A typical car only use around 12% of the energy to move the car. A power plant can covert close to 35-40% of the energy into electricity. And EV is very energy efficient (90%). So you can still save a lot of energy by driving an EV.(about 30% of normal gas engine car) Not to mention that you can always get electricity from other source such as wind power or nuclear power.

  • @livefreeordive
