  • @victers88 все нормально работает

  • does that hook mean that there is some kind of force of gavity pulling the galaxy?

  • @meyya59

If you compare the size of the orbit with the Earth-Sun orbit (8 days light instead of 10 minutes light for the Earth) and the timing of the orbits (12 years), you can use the Kepler law to find out that this black hole is a few millions solar masses. That is a small ~0.0001% of the galaxy's total mass, it is mostly being pulled by its own weight...

  • @Grygry82

Wouldn't the movement of a galaxy be due to the expansion of the universe?

  • @PassionForHisWord the movement of the galaxy THROUGH the universe is due to expansion, yes, but the galaxy itself rotates about this point that we believe is a black hole. the reason being, as Grygry82 said, that the mass of the entire galaxy suggests that there must be some massive (MASSIVE!) object holding the galaxy together, keeping the galaxy from flying apart. There is also belief that a material called dark matter has a hand in this too.

  • @jbrunson88 Please, is it so difficult to understand, or to read some book? The black hole has dynamical influence only on the central parsecs of a galaxy, which is a very small fraction. Not even a bulge of a spiral galaxy is dynamically dominated by a black hole..

  • @supergiuovane i wasn't really going to go into that much detail in response to a statement about the expansion of the universe as it pertains to this video. I'm no physicist, i'm an astronomy student, so i'm not going go in over my head.

I'm grateful for your input, but i would appreciate it more if you could do it in a respectful manner, sir

  • @jbrunson88 Always respect! Black holes in galaxies have masses that are proportional to the bulge's mass in which they "live":the more massive the bulge, the more massive the black hole.Nevertheless, the mass of a BH is about 1000 times smaller that that of the bulge. Even simple newtonian dynamic can easily tell that the BH influence is confined to a very short scale, after which the mass of stars in the bulge (and dark matter also) becomes dominant.

  • @supergiuovane well said. :)

  • But God doesn't imply intelligent design, so you can't equate both. Sagiitarieus A and 99.99999999999999999999% of the Universe is a waste of space if we are His Goal. So the design isn't intelligent. QED.

  • lol xiu

  • wauw a black hole nice one

  • Amazing video! Thank you for posting. :-)

    K.

  • C d'la balle mais tu devrais faire attention c'est copyrght ESO alors cite les au moins!!

  • star do NOT move at the lightspeed !!

Light is the only thing that can go at this speed acording to Einstein !!!!

  • Star 15x heavier that Sun moving at 2% lightspeed ! Wow ! Any creationnist here to explain the "intelligent design" behind this ?

  • I don't understand how this is supposed to refute the existence of God?

  • Stop answering questions with other questions. And by the way, I didn't refute the existence of God, I questionned the intelligence of the design, especially your own intelligence.

  • Well, "intelligent design" implies God most of the time, so I guess you could say I equated the two in my mind. In any case, the existence of Sagitarrius A* doesn't really undermine the concept of intelligent design, and it doesn't really promote it either. It's just there. lol
