yeah you motherfucker. many videos, in youtube korean said like "all of world is Korean! origin is Korean!", was made by Japanese and Tiwanese.. many rumor about korea and koreans made by Japanese..
Every time someone shares some historical images, a bunch of hotheads have to stab at each other and spoil the whole damn thing. Most of you guys weren't even alive at the time.
The Greater Korean Empire was an empire of Korea that succeeded the Joseon Dynasty. In October 1897, Emperor Gojong proclaimed the new entity at Gyeongungung Palace and oversaw the partially successful modernization of the military, economy, land system, education system, and various industries.
However, it was not a radical reform, and Korea steadily become subordinated to the larger powers of Japan and Russia. On August 22, 1910, Korea was annexed by Imperial Japan, which had defeated the Russian power in 1905.
@SuperGreatSphinx hardly the economic system. the minister of finance at the time, Megata a Japanese appointed to the department ordered rapid currency reformation which failed horribly and nearly caused the economy of Korea to disentergrate.
Respond to this video... Sunjong is not mentally retarded. He've lost his sexual abilities after drinking coffee full with opium, but he was not "mentally" retarded, although he had some physical problems.
@FiddlerAdam At least before the annexation of Korea in 1910, the Korean Empire was a absolute Total Monarchy. The Constitution of the Empire proves this fact. The Emperor( in this matter Gojong) never had any attention to make his empire a constitutional monarchy, he was a confused little man, confusing the country's power with the power of the Imperial Throne.
@hebrews11jp The marriage of the Korean Imperial family members with the Japanese royal family members is a event made possible "after" the annexation of Korea.
@chimneysmokes ---- I love @chimneysmokes so much that I would like you to watch this beatiful video foy ya. This video shows extremely cute, beatiful Korean ladies - - -check this out buddy --- dont watch too much hip-pop video music, man.- - - this is nuch better.
@2000unoki You damn right, Japan respected Korea by KILLING/STABBING THE LAST EMPRESS OF JOSEON, and FORGED the signature of the last King for Illegal annexation.
@Mayplestory1 YES! My hand yearns to dispense revenge! Bring me a jjokbari and a knife, I will revenge Gojong and Sujong like Kim Gu revenged Empress Min!
This is during the period Japan ruled Korea. Koreans claim Japan banned all the Korean things but Japan did the funeral for the Korean king respecting the Korean ppl. Is this the worst colonization in the human history ever as Koreans claim and blame Japan? I think NOT.
@AlmondChoco1221 During these periods ( Funerals of Kings during occupation) the general public is very enraged and the Japanese Government tried hard to maintain order and to calm the public. if Japan ever respected the King of Joseon, they wouldn't have killed and burnt his wife, or annex the country.
@AlmondChoco1221 Are you like uh...... dumbass? Your fucked up country never respected Korean people. Rather, you killed them, raped them, and stole SO MANY F*** NATIONAL TREASURES THAT HAVE NOT RETURNED YET.
Yes, the era Japan occupied the entire asia killing over 20-30 million innocent asians, raping over 200K asian women, and stealing stuff WAS the worst era in asian history. Well said it.
This is why the world will never, ever have peace. No one can ever let the past stay in the past. All people, east and west, continue to argue over the wrongs of the past. We should learn from the past but we should all frogive and move forward. Hatred just breeds hatred. But it is the way of all men, oriental or occidental.
@kwonneon HELLO I'M KIMJONUN.I'M A SLAVE OF JAPAN.MY AREA IS A COLONY OF JAPAN.WE FAKE EVERYTHING.THE 2 BOMBS IN JAPAN KILLED 30,000 OF US SOUTH-NORTH KOREAN RATS.NOW WE PRAY KIMJOLIN AND FAKE JAPANESE PRODUCTS.FOR + INFO ABOUT SOUTHKOREAN FILTHY BEGGARS AND SLAVES SEARCH IN YOUTUBE "WHY KOREANS ALWAYS LOSE TO JAPAN".THIS VIDEO EXPLAINS WHY WE ARE USELESS THIEVES AND FAKERS.WE MUST BE CAREFUL BECAUSE ONE DAY NORTHKOREA WILL DESTROY US ALL.WE LOVE KILLING OURSELVES AND PRAYING KIMJONUN
@kwonneon NORTHWHOREA AND SOUTHWHOREA ARE DE IURE JAPANESE TERRITORY. THEY ARE DEFACTO 2 SEPARATE ENTITIES BUT THEY ARE TWO SPECIAL ADMNISTRATIVE REGIONS OF JAPAN.The treaty had eight articles, the first being: "His Majesty the Emperor of Korea makes the complete and PERMANENT cession to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan of all rights of sovereignty over the whole of Korea."
@UnmotivatedCPA no why would yangban hate hangeul? They used hangeul alongside hanja. Japan banned Korean at Korean schools. My great grandmother told me she was taught only Japanese at school. They also made korean's change their names. This was the case for Sohn Kee-chung who had to change his name to Son Kitei and Nam Sung-yongNan Shōryu. They were athletes who raced in the Berlin Olympics. Since Japan annexed Korea they had to race for Japan and their medals went to the Japanese medal count
@UnmotivatedCPA Please if you're going to post something in English learn in first. Secondly what do you mean Japan taught hangeul in Korea. Japan banned Korean being used at schools and even made Koreans change their names to Japanese.
On the contrary, it's amazing that such a scene like this has been filmed and posted on Youtube. I'm quite impressed! More so impressed since it hasn't been cut and butchered with commentaries like a lot of the videos here.
@zousandazou then my friend, In a Farm why does the Owner of the Farm fatten his pig or his animal? To eat him, it is not because he gives a shit about the animal, it's because he has to eat it not care for it. get it?
@zousandazou offer from the Korean Government? 98% of the ministers and vice minister were Japanese at the time of the annexation. and Your government never got an "offer" officially from the Emperor of Korea who was the de-facto ruler of Korea at the time. I guess you are talking about the "Il-Jin Hwaue" it is a Religious group who under the command of Japan spreaded false facts claiming the Koreans wanted the annexation.
@zousandazou If that is true my friend, Why did Japan actually led expeditions in the South jeolla Provinces during the 1910-1920 period in killing and capturing the gurillas fighting for independence? and If the Koreans wanted annexation with Japan why did a nation-wide protests occur in 1919 in the funeral of the Emperor?
@zousandazou That's always what the Europeans say to justify colonialism, they did it to benefit the colonies, not themselves - pretending to be selfless. Unit731 human experiments, wianbu, torturing, execution of people involved in independence movements etc.
How can we let go of the past, when there are Asian Hitlers who justify the Asian holocaust on youtube?
Asian Hitlers? Asian holocaust? What're you talking about? Koreans are not a victim. In World War II, the 350 million Japanese died. But the Koreans are killed only 30,000 people. They are all volunteers of the Japanese military. no deaths of civilians in Korea. Do not fabricate history. Do not brainwash yourself, Korean liehistory education. Koreans are lying monster.
@zousandazou but thousands of people involved in independence movements were executed. Your intention was to turn Korea into a Japanese province. See "Battle of Qingshanli". It's not meant to castigate you Japanese, but you had to do it, to maintain your rule. And Imperial Japan conscripted vast numbers of Koreans into Japanese military at around 1944-45.
@zousandazou Yeah, so you are saying that the 17 year old women dragged out of college to serve as sex slaves for the Japanese army were volunteers? The over 200,000 women were volunteers. Often when they got pregnant, they were shot by Japanese soldiers. I'm sure they really enjoyed it.
@zousandazou You should learn how to spell properly. Your grammar and diction is appalling. Anyway, the research by Professor Yun Chung-ok does indicate that approximately ~200,000 Korean women were coerced into sexual slavery by the Japanese. She found the legal documents that these women were coerced into signing. You are making your claims based on no evidence.
@zousandazou Calling me names does not strengthen your argument. Your logic is poor and your used of expletives reveals your lack of sophistication. There is plenty of scholarly research and documentation of Japanese use of Korean sex slaves during WWII. Calling me a monster does not deny the facts.
「South Korea is a nation that supplies the traffic in people victim for sexual exploitation.」
It is a content of the report of the current state of the South Korean human trafficking and selling that the U.S. State Department announced last year.
@jazztarou I am aware of this; every group has individuals that commit crimes against humanity. However, the exploitation of Korean sex slaves during WWII was sponsored by the Japanese government and was official policy.
@jazztarou And you are too lazy to look up the historical facts yourself. One Google click would be sufficient to substantiate my statements over yours. Just google "comfort women" and you could have ready access to books, news articles, interviews, as well as scholarly articles. Calling me names cannot diminish these facts.
@jazztarou Whos Pitiful? Japan is rather pitiful at this moment huh? Japan desperately begs for assistance from countries like Korea,China, and all of Asia and the west. Yes, we pity japanese and we will still send relief and aid.
Its funny how karma works huh? I have also noticed the amount of hate videos by stupid japs like yourself have ceased because of this miracle earhquake. It seems japs arent talking shit anymore huh??
@lotusblack80 Don't fuel the troll. What happened in Japan is a tragedy. Don't let your anger sway your humanity, because it's quite distasteful. You're better than that.
@jazztarou Prejudiced people are considered to have a low level of intellect. Judging by the fact that you've bunched all Koreans as people of low intellect, its safe to assume that you have yet to achieve a college level degree.
@opisthobranch This is South Korea and South Korean's realities.
【Herald tribune's article】(January, 2009)The former comfort woman's testimony: South Korea government encouraged eagerly that the thing to do prostitution to a lot of GI. South Korea government was a major mediator of prostitution for the U.S. Military. South Korea government praised us as "Patriot who earn the dollar"
Actually, Kojong became an emperor in 1897 when the Chos^on dynasty declared themselves as the Great Han Empire. This was just a name change though since he didn't rule over an empire, only the peninsula, but this was over a decade before the Japanese colonial rule and was an attempt by the Koreans to be equal to other nations in an imperial age--such as the empires of China, Japan and British. They abandoned the dynastic dating system and adopted the solar calendar at this time too...
is a pity that Korean culture is being lost to Western culture, Christianity is killing the tradition and traditional religion of Korea, the ancient traditions are being lost to the Koreans as they are converting to Christianity brought by Westerners, this is a shame. Stop it and return to ancient traditions RELIGION AND CULTURE AND THE TRADITIONAL KOREAN PEOPLE CAN STILL BE SAVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@AKUMARYU666 Well, even Buddhism is foreign to Korea, since it is from India. Since coming into contact with the West, Korea (as with most of other non-western countries) has adopted and adapted many western customs, but not all, and certainly "koreanized" them. The problem is rather with what kind of Christianity one believes in...
@Lysandros I'm not just talking about Buddhism, I'm talking about all the other forms of Korean rituals. who love, respect and praise nature and ancestors. All forms of ancient Korean shamanism and religion that was already there before the arrival of Buddhism. And Buddhism is a religion very noble because he gets where he is in harmony without harming the local culture, always at peace with the local culture of the Korean people
@AKUMARYU666 It is true that Protestantism is quite different from other religions including buddhsim, and even from traditional Christianity, which always irks me. Yet, despite all the modernization that the country has undergone in the past decades, there remains a uniquely Korean character; even Protestantism has had to adapt. A characteristic of Korean culture is its emphasis on material prosperity (a legacy of shamanism),
@Lysandros I was in Japan and also saw that this happens in less there, because there they know how to give value to Buddhism and Shinto because they are part of the soul and their history, since it does not happen in Korea. But this is just my opinion meaningless, I do what I can to expose my ideas and I hope sincerely that someone read and find important. I do my children and grandchildren can see a future in which chorea is proud of their ancestors and their soul...
@AKUMARYU666 (cont'd) and we find this feature in both Buddhism and Protestantism in ways not found elswhere. Both Korean Buddhism and Christianity are characterized by a large emphasis on such material prosperity. They have also incorporated various traditional festivals in their form of Christianity. Yet, Protestantism (and especially Evangelicalism) departs too much from traditional religious expressions, and I agree with you on this. But there are more traditional forms of Christianity...
@Lysandros I agree with you my friend, but I was in korea last year and saw how it is affecting the Korean people, I've seen Koreans become uncomfortable with a traditional religious festival, they said that it was against the doctrine of Jesus, that irritated me very much, because they are Korean they should not even think such a thing. Sincerely I apologize but I think this whole invasion of Western religions is a great poison to Korean ancient culture.
@AKUMARYU666 You know, somtimes a people may change its religion, but this doesn't mean that they change their identity--only think about the Greeks and Romans, the Persians, etc. Sometimes, societies change in such ways that faiths also change, and new ones are adopted if they are deemed better. Yet, and again oftentimes, the heritage of the past is preserved and given new life in the new religion. This happened in Korea when the kingdoms adopted Buddhism instead of the shamanist religion, etc.
@AKUMARYU666 The issue is not so much that the old is replaced by the new, or that the new is imported from elswhere; it lies rather with what the alternative is, what it offers. Ultimately, it has to do with truth. This is why such changes always create conflicts. This is also my problem with Protestantism. Although it has been Koreanized, it remains very Western in its approach (aniconic-if not iconoclastic-and, in particular, is associated far too much with mere materialism, modernity,
@AKUMARYU666 modern technologies, etc. Hence the sentiment that it destroys older, traditional cultures (and, in this respect, we are right to feel distressed at this, as you and I, and many others I imagine, are). When I think about Christianity and culture, I always recall Sts; Cyril and Methodius, the two greeks who converted the Slavs in the 9th century. If you have time look them up, I am sure it will show you a very different perspective on Christianity and its relationship to culture!
William Elliot Griffis 『Korea the Hermit Nation』(1882 )
This is a good specimen of Korean varnish-work carried into history. The rough facts are smoothed over by that well-applied native lacquer, which is said to resemble gold to the eyes. The official gloss has been smeared over more modern events with equal success, and even defeat is turned into golden victory.(p.150-151)
@nusuttotakedakesii just for a short period of time before 1910 when the occupation started, sunjong changed korea to an empire since japan kept it away from china. Then japan, in 1910 claimmed korea as their territory. So no, sunjong was an emperor. gojong was a king
@swellh2o I only said the fact.Just it. 誤訳があるといけないので日本語で書いておきます。 私が指摘したのはこのタイトルの事なのです。 日本語訳なら「韓帝国のSunjong皇帝の葬儀」となります。 しかし、この動画の時点のSunjongは大日本帝国の一部である韓国の王だったはずです。即ちEmperor(皇帝)ではありません。日本の王公族昌徳宮李王坧として国葬を行ったのです。 Emperorは天皇陛下(当時は大正天皇。裕仁親王(後の昭和天皇)が摂政)です。 それは事実でありそれ以外の事実はありません。 私が言ったのはそれだけです。 Sunjong王を貶した事実はありません。事実を指摘したまでです。 何の文句があるのか意味がわかりません。 私がファシスト呼ばわりされる要素がどこにあるのでしょうか? 韓国では李承晩の政策を継承し間違った歴史教育を続けています。 この事は日本人よりもむしろ韓国人にとって不幸な事です。 (チョソが歴史捏造に躍起になってる。キチが湧いてきてマジでウザイわ。せやからチョソは世界中で嫌われてるんやで。自覚しろや。)
You'd think that after all that effort at peace settlement and propagation during the Cold War by so many different countries would have given rise to some form of tolerance, but we are proven wrong once again on our potential for humanity. Seriously.
EY GUYS yuqichn THINK JAPAN RULES WITH NUMBER ONE RANK. EVEN THOUGH AMERICA IS NUMBER ONE AND CHINA IS NUMBER 2. OH WOW they are too noob to get a life. ALSO HE IS FIGHTING WITH LITTLE BOY. His twenty years old and I AM sixteen. WOW HOW DISTURBING IS THAT.A CHILD MOLESTER I SEE.
If you have time to look back on the past, spend the time on thinking how to make a better world. I wanna know the reason of you posting these videos. Nothing good comes out.
I was born in Japan but my blood is korean. I know my grandparents were abused by Japanese but I feel nothing against Japan. It's past and I am where I am because of what happened.
We need to move on from the madness. Arguing about these things only sends us back a few decades. Peace and love is what Japan, Korea, and China need. If not for us, at least for our descendants.
Do you know the name of the first president of Korea? He was the officer of Imperial Japan army. He left so many letters, which shows his devotion to Japan from his heart. He was almost in the member of the betrayer's list during annexation. By his daughter's underground effort, his name was out of the list. Do you know the name of current Korean president? He was a Zainich Korean, who grew up in Japan. He can speak Japanese well and very familiar to Japan too.
No no Wasabi. Ahn Jung Gun had better alternative. Ahn wanted common prosperity of East Asia which closely resembles today's EU. I resepct Meiji reformation and rapid modernization, however, the crazy militarism and the reckless engagement of the war actually caused enormous pain to the Japan itself and the entire East Asia.
Stupid Anny didn't have any philosophy. If you mention about EU, why don't you describe our much better plan in the past 大東亜共栄圏! That was the Asian EU. Our plan was far beyond on Europeans. The only problem was Asians were not as smart as Europeans. Think about it! There is no way to make the united org. with Koreans.
Really? Japan was attacked by Mongol, China, and Korea together in 13th century. They were all smashed into the sea. Japan has been the strong country even in 13th century. Don't compare our country, the land of Rising Sun to your tiny peninsula! By the way, I have a respect on African people for their original culture. Korean culture is all the inferior copies of Japanese or Chinese. You know what? I have zero respect on your countrymen.
What an evil pathetic creature you are. It was not enough for Japan to rape and rob Korea? Now you have to come here and disrespect us on a monarchs video? Tell me nihonjing, do you feel good now?
You can deny any crime, feel pride in some glory during WW2 but what did you become except become a nuclear test subject like a yellow monkey by white men? Now you worship these westerners and your women admire them absolutely. Your pride is follow and your kamikazes died for nothing so a useless generation like u could express your empty pride over internet and hurt those you have wronged. Some of these reasons is why i have never seen Japan as a formidable ppl.
Are you stupid? Did you learn the history properly? Japan released all of the colonies in Asia through ww2. Every Asian country made and trained their army for the independence war under Imperial Japan. Only Japan was the respectable country in the world powers which fought ww2. Allies were the true evils which owned colonies and enslaved Asians and Africans. But it really doesn't matter for the useless Koreans, does it? Because there was no Korea during ww2, was it?
I don't know who you are. But you can't deny the fact that Japan did the best contribution to the colonization history. I didn't think I was showing my pride on my nation, but it may be looked like that for miserable Koreans. Japan was the only country, which really fought against White people, for the right of colored people. Why do you think we worship them? That is your misunderstanding. Japanese are totally different from Koreans at this point.
I think that comes from our confidence to ourselves. Most of Japanese don't mention but we believe that we are at least not inferior to Westerners. Probably most of them think positively superior to them. Have you ever seen Japanese, who envy the US living Japanese or Greencard holder? How many hours do Koreans spend learning English for the future transfer to US? That comes from your inferior complex to Westerners. Unfortunately we don't have that kind of feeling at all.
I guess you envy our emperor family so much. But it is not something, which Korea can have. The emperor is the owner of some countries. The weakest country of East Asia, Korea had been belonging to other emperors. By the way, the time when our emperor declared his existence was in early 7th century. Do you know how Korea be at times? Your ancestors were serving to Chinese emperor as the slave nation.
Nobody said that Japanese are the descendants of Baekje. Baekje was nothing but the country, which belonged to Japan. It was not the ancestor of current Koreans, but not the one of ours either. We actually accepted those people, who lost country in the past. That was the proof of how Japanese was kind to miserable Koreans long time ago.
You must study what emperor is first. Korean emperor didn't have any other country. Practically that is no more than the king. The reason why he was allowed to name himself as emperor was nothing but our favor. Koreans love to talk about Baekje. But there are two facts that Korans don't know. Koreans are not the descendants of Baekje. They are the descendants of Shilla and Joseong. These are different race with different language. The other fact is that Baekje belonged to Japan.
As Joseong belonged to China, Baekje belonged to Japan. So Koreans have zero relationship with Japan. Did you learn your history of pathetic Shilla and Joseong? None of Koreans in the past have great history in any time.
@NoNoSpice rofl backche is japanese? does backchae sound like japanese to u u dumb japanese miget. baekchae and shilla are all from korguyeo. korguyeo made his lost son the next king so the queen and her son left korguyeo and created backchae u dumb fuk. ur stupid statements make me laugh lol ur a funny cunt give me hard core facts not shit from urself. BAGAYARO NIPPON
I didn't say Baekje was Japan. It belonged to Japan as same as Joseong belonged to China. Current Koreans have no relationship to Baekje nor Koguryo. You are the descendants of Shilla-Joseong losers. That's why Koreans are called as the sons of slaves.
It should be rare because he was the only emperor of tiny peninsula in history. Korea has never been the imperial country. Korea didn't own any country. Korea was owned by China, Mongol, and Japan. Korean King was nothing but the servant of the true emperor. Even this Korean only emperor was allowed by Imperial Japan's favor.
@NoNoSpice Korea was imperial since 1897~1910 you do not know anything about Korean history. Korea was founded before Han dynasty of China and plus Japan was owned by Baekje of Three Kingdoms of Korea. Imperial Japan was ultimately crushed by America. Japan was stupid enough to even dare to tackle the superpower. USA. + Korean peninsula is not small. It is same size as Great Britain island of UK. Reunified Korea is 84th largest country in the world. And there are 266 countries. So fuck off
I read in Wikipedia that Rhee Syngman wouldn't let the Korean /Joseon Royal family return to Seoul because he needed an iron grip on power. But I also wonder whether
A) the Korean population would support setting up a constitutional monarchy just like Japan
B) Since the Royal Family resided in Tokyo during the Colonial Era, the family is likely to be associated with the Japanese Colonial past.
C) Some Koreans believe the weakness of the Joseon ruling family led to Japanese occupation.
It is just my opnion, so if you dont agree with me, I will respect anyway.
If Korea was ruled by emperor even today, I pretty sure Korea would be better than now. Off course, Pres. Park contribute a lot for his loved nation, but where there are Emperors or Kings, people tend to respect leaders more than nations where are ruled by Presidents.
I'm currently reading "The Calligrapher's Daughter" by Eugenia Sun Hee Kim.
On the last chapter, and probably the most interesting and longest chapter, of its first part, "The Last Palace", there's a conversation between the lead character and the remaining members of royal bloodline. I downloaded this video hoping that someday, I would learn Korean and understand what is being narrated. The book is definitely a nice read.
Only Koreans be proud of terrorists. What is the meaning of 義士? Stupid 安重根 did assassinate 伊藤. That's why he was executed by Korean hand by hanging. He screamed "Aigoooh" one hundred times before being handed. What a pathetic assassin was that? To become Korean hero, Koreans must kill Japanese. What a fucked up country Korea be! I never understand such a loser's mentality.
We are proud of the patriots that sacrificed their lives to kill the Japanese invaders. His cry of aigoooh was a form of lamenting at the despot state that Korea was in due to your fucked up country's efforts to conquer our nation and erase all our achievements.
If you are proud of your history, then think again. All the glorious things youve been learning in your history class are concoctions made by your government to sugar-coat and cover up war-crimes. Learn something from the Germans and repent, won't you? Why do you glorify your oriental-Nazi state?
You better study how much your country was given from Japan through the annexation. Koreans never learn the most important part of the history. Don't you think Koreans built up current Korea by your hard work? Don't be stupid! The huge financial support from Japan and US made it. Koreans never show appreciation to us in any time of the past. Koreans don't even teach it to the kids. Your fabrication of history is as same as the crime. Don't mention about Germany without knowing anything!
I don't know why Koreans believe Germany did apologized to Euro countries. There is no such a fact in the history. Germany never apologized and never did the compensation as the country. They only did the personal compensation as the trade for getting their compensation. Germany admitted the fault of Nazis but not for the fault of the country. They never apologized for the ww2 itself either.
The so-called financial support was a measly sum compared to the pains my forebearers suffered. It came at the price of 36 years of hopeless despair and oppression, when their language, heritage, and very names were taken away from them. The poverty that they had to fight off was a direct result of your nation taking everything worth value away from us, forcing us to starve and live like scum off the land.
And don't worry, we do learn of the support your government gave, how it gave us what we needed to finance our industries. We do not neglect it. What makes us stay outraged and angry against Japan is the swaggering, shameless attitude of your people. Everytime your leaders apologize to us Koreans, they then afterwards retract their statements to the Japanese public, or go pay homage to the Yasukuni Shrine, where the war criminals that caused us so much pain are.
It was 35 years by the way. Don't you think Korea(Chosun) had a very good time? Chosun was the tribute state of China. It was extremely poor and miserable. Why don't you take a look at the photographs before the annexation and at the end of annexation. The good treatment was obvious. Can Korean double the population in 35 years if the politics is bad? Why didn't Chosun increase population at all before the annexation? You are brainwashed.
Our time under your nation's rule was the most despicable, the most hateful, the absolute worst point in our history. So our country was poor before - so what? We lost everything the day your cursed emperor forced us to be his subjects. Our tributary relationship with China was a mean of keeping our independence away from the ever expressionistic nation. While we may not have been overly happy, it was a necessary, voluntary act. Your nation crushed that freedom, and made mine a part of it.
That's why you Koreans never learn how Chinese treated Koreans during those periods. Koreans had to pay tax to China, tax includes harvests, kids, and virgin girls upon the request of China. If Korean would learn the fact in their textbook, Koreans have to admit how miserable Korea was. That's why your government use Japan as the scapegoat. But don't expect your stupid fabrication would work to current Japanese! Koreans asked Japan to annex your country.
You make it sound as if your country's act of making Korea a part of it was a good thing, that it "freed" us from the Chinese. You are the brainwashed one here.
While we may never have loved the influence China had, we still managed to keep our independence, to keep our name against all odds. We never wanted strength, power, conquest or the glories of war. Our one and only true desire was - and still is - freedom, being able to reap the satisfaction and pride of being a Korean, the people that has survived countless invaders and hardships, and being able to live in peace.
The day that your nation's armies brought my nation to its knees and hands, not only did you take the peace, the freedom, you crushed it. Your countrymen made a mockery of all our heritage, took the land that we called home, and took away all manner of resources.
If that wasn't enough, your predecessors also tried to erase every trace of the Korean people.
They burned down Kyungbokgung, the place of Korean king-hood and history, and mocked it by building a zoo, a place of amusement, upon its foundations. They pillaged our centuries old tombs, stole priceless artifacts, and turned treasured relics used in honouring the ancestors into soulless guns and bullets. They even banned the use of our language, our spoken pride, and forced people to adopt Japanese names instead of traditional family names.
Annexation was a good thing for Korea. There is no question about it. Every country would agree to me. It was obviously very bad for Japan. We spent so much money for nothing. Do you know Every Korean financial combine in Korea started from the Japanese left property. Koreans inherited free. Isn't it something you should remember? Are all Japanese properties free for Koreans? That's beggar's mentality.
So you are saying that your country's mad conquest was a good thing for Korea? You make me laugh. We Koreans never wanted your kind to meddle in our affairs, much less make slaves out of us. We did not inherit anything free out of your country's colonialism, but instead paid the steepest price in blood and pride. Do you even know what pains my predecessors had to endure, watching you island degenerates pervert and destroy our heritage? Your imperialistic, narcissistic mentality disgusts me, Jap.
Anyway, Korean people was brainwashed.
When you look up "Korean fabricated own History", you find amazing videos.
They believe in like this, and, beware, will invade you all over the world.

The Greater Korean Empire was an empire of Korea that succeeded the Joseon Dynasty. In October 1897, Emperor Gojong proclaimed the new entity at Gyeongungung Palace and oversaw the partially successful modernization of the military, economy, land system, education system, and various industries.
SuperGreatSphinx 3 months ago
However, it was not a radical reform, and Korea steadily become subordinated to the larger powers of Japan and Russia. On August 22, 1910, Korea was annexed by Imperial Japan, which had defeated the Russian power in 1905.
SuperGreatSphinx 3 months ago
@SuperGreatSphinx hardly the economic system. the minister of finance at the time, Megata a Japanese appointed to the department ordered rapid currency reformation which failed horribly and nearly caused the economy of Korea to disentergrate.

rlatndnsxo 4 months ago
@FiddlerAdam At least before the annexation of Korea in 1910, the Korean Empire was a absolute Total Monarchy. The Constitution of the Empire proves this fact. The Emperor( in this matter Gojong) never had any attention to make his empire a constitutional monarchy, he was a confused little man, confusing the country's power with the power of the Imperial Throne.

①Japan gave independence to Korea in 1895.
Before that Korea was a slave of China.
Since 1895, Japan has supported the modernization of Korea.
However, the Korean government began to sell his country to Western countries.
Alexander II of Russia was declared. "We have to dominate Korea ".
Prime Minister of the Korean government asked the annexation to Japan.

@zousandazou but thousands of people involved in independence movements were executed. Your intention was to turn Korea into a Japanese province. See "Battle of Qingshanli".

Lysandros 1 year ago
@Lysandros I'm not just talking about Buddhism, I'm talking about all the other forms of Korean rituals. who love, respect and praise nature and ancestors. All forms of ancient Korean shamanism and religion that was already there before the arrival of Buddhism. And Buddhism is a religion very noble because he gets where he is in harmony without harming the local culture, always at peace with the local culture of the Korean people
AKUMARYU666 1 year ago
@AKUMARYU666 It is true that Protestantism is quite different from other religions including buddhsim, and even from traditional Christianity, which always irks me. Yet, despite all the modernization that the country has undergone in the past decades, there remains a uniquely Korean character; even Protestantism has had to adapt. A characteristic of Korean culture is its emphasis on material prosperity (a legacy of shamanism),
Lysandros 1 year ago
@Lysandros I was in Japan and also saw that this happens in less there, because there they know how to give value to Buddhism and Shinto because they are part of the soul and their history, since it does not happen in Korea. But this is just my opinion meaningless, I do what I can to expose my ideas and I hope sincerely that someone read and find important. AKUMARYU666 1 year ago
Lysandros 1 year ago
@Lysandros I agree with you my friend, but I was in korea last year and saw how it is affecting the Korean people, I've seen Koreans become uncomfortable with a traditional religious festival, they said that it was against the doctrine of Jesus, that irritated me very much, because they are Korean they should not even think such a thing. Sincerely I apologize but I think this whole invasion of Western religions is a great poison to Korean ancient culture.
AKUMARYU666 1 year ago
@AKUMARYU666 You know, somtimes a people may change its religion, but this doesn't mean that they change their identity--only think about the Greeks and Romans, the Persians, etc. Sometimes, societies change in such ways that faiths also change, and new ones are adopted if they are deemed better. Yet, and again oftentimes, the heritage of the past is preserved and given new life in the new religion. This happened in Korea when the kingdoms adopted Buddhism instead of the shamanist religion, etc.
Lysandros 1 year ago
@AKUMARYU666 The issue is not so much that the old is replaced by the new, or that the new is imported from elswhere; it lies rather with what the alternative is, what it offers. Ultimately, it has to do with truth. This is why such changes always create conflicts. This is also my problem with Protestantism. Although it has been Koreanized, it remains very Western in its approach (aniconic-if not iconoclastic-and, in particular, is associated far too much with mere materialism, modernity,
Lysandros 1 year ago
@AKUMARYU666 modern technologies, etc. Hence the sentiment that it destroys older, traditional cultures (and, in this respect, we are right to feel distressed at this, as you and I, and many others I imagine, are). When I think about Christianity and culture, I always recall Sts; Cyril and Methodius, the two greeks who converted the Slavs in the 9th century. If you have time look them up, I am sure it will show you a very different perspective on Christianity and its relationship to culture!

He was a Zainich Korean, who grew up in Japan. He can speak Japanese well and very familiar to Japan too.

i am not here to entertain your hollow pride. The gall that you even responded with your stupidity says enough.

TheDeahan 1 year ago
Stupid Anny didn't have any philosophy. If you mention about EU, why don't you describe our much better plan in the past 大東亜共栄圏! That was the Asian EU. Our plan was far beyond on Europeans. The only problem was Asians were not as smart as Europeans. Think about it! There is no way to make the united org. with Koreans.
NoNoSpice 1 year ago

BeautifulGuy11 2 years ago
follow = hollow
BeautifulGuy11 2 years ago
Are you stupid? Did you learn the history properly? Japan released all of the colonies in Asia through ww2. Every Asian country made and trained their army for the independence war under Imperial Japan. Only Japan was the respectable country in the world powers which fought ww2. Allies were the true evils which owned colonies and enslaved Asians and Africans. But it really doesn't matter for the useless Koreans, does it? Because there was no Korea during ww2, was it?
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
I don't know who you are. But you can't deny the fact that Japan did the best contribution to the colonization history. I didn't think I was showing my pride on my nation, but it may be looked like that for miserable Koreans. Japan was the only country, which really fought against White people, for the right of colored people. Why do you think we worship them? That is your misunderstanding. Japanese are totally different from Koreans at this point.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
I think that comes from our confidence to ourselves. Most of Japanese don't mention but we believe that we are at least not inferior to Westerners. Probably most of them think positively superior to them. Have you ever seen Japanese, who envy the US living Japanese or Greencard holder? How many hours do Koreans spend learning English for the future transfer to US? That comes from your inferior complex to Westerners. Unfortunately we don't have that kind of feeling at all.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
Have you ever seen our emperor or prince in royal diplomacy? That tells how extraordinary their status be. Koreans are not even invited in the party.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
I guess you envy our emperor family so much. But it is not something, which Korea can have. The emperor is the owner of some countries. The weakest country of East Asia, Korea had been belonging to other emperors. By the way, the time when our emperor declared his existence was in early 7th century. Do you know how Korea be at times? Your ancestors were serving to Chinese emperor as the slave nation.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
Nobody said that Japanese are the descendants of Baekje. Baekje was nothing but the country, which belonged to Japan. It was not the ancestor of current Koreans, but not the one of ours either. We actually accepted those people, who lost country in the past. That was the proof of how Japanese was kind to miserable Koreans long time ago.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
You must study what emperor is first. Korean emperor didn't have any other country. Practically that is no more than the king. The reason why he was allowed to name himself as emperor was nothing but our favor. Koreans love to talk about Baekje. But there are two facts that Korans don't know. Koreans are not the descendants of Baekje. They are the descendants of Shilla and Joseong. These are different race with different language. The other fact is that Baekje belonged to Japan.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
As Joseong belonged to China, Baekje belonged to Japan. So Koreans have zero relationship with Japan. Did you learn your history of pathetic Shilla and Joseong? None of Koreans in the past have great history in any time.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
@NoNoSpice rofl backche is japanese? does backchae sound like japanese to u u dumb japanese miget. baekchae and shilla are all from korguyeo. korguyeo made his lost son the next king so the queen and her son left korguyeo and created backchae u dumb fuk. ur stupid statements make me laugh lol ur a funny cunt give me hard core facts not shit from urself. BAGAYARO NIPPON
hardendafukup 2 years ago
I didn't say Baekje was Japan. It belonged to Japan as same as Joseong belonged to China. Current Koreans have no relationship to Baekje nor Koguryo. You are the descendants of Shilla-Joseong losers. That's why Koreans are called as the sons of slaves.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
It should be rare because he was the only emperor of tiny peninsula in history. Korea has never been the imperial country. Korea didn't own any country. Korea was owned by China, Mongol, and Japan. Korean King was nothing but the servant of the true emperor. Even this Korean only emperor was allowed by Imperial Japan's favor.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago

C) Some Koreans believe the weakness of the Joseon ruling family led to Japanese occupation.
jlcel0818ya 2 years ago

NoNoSpice 2 years ago
We are proud of the patriots that sacrificed their lives to kill the Japanese invaders. His cry of aigoooh was a form of lamenting at the despot state that Korea was in due to your fucked up country's efforts to conquer our nation and erase all our achievements.
canpitt 2 years ago
If you are proud of your history, then think again. All the glorious things youve been learning in your history class are concoctions made by your government to sugar-coat and cover up war-crimes. Learn something from the Germans and repent, won't you? Why do you glorify your oriental-Nazi state?
canpitt 2 years ago
You better study how much your country was given from Japan through the annexation. Koreans never learn the most important part of the history. Don't you think Koreans built up current Korea by your hard work? Don't be stupid! The huge financial support from Japan and US made it. Koreans never show appreciation to us in any time of the past. Koreans don't even teach it to the kids. Your fabrication of history is as same as the crime. Don't mention about Germany without knowing anything!
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
I don't know why Koreans believe Germany did apologized to Euro countries. There is no such a fact in the history. Germany never apologized and never did the compensation as the country. They only did the personal compensation as the trade for getting their compensation. Germany admitted the fault of Nazis but not for the fault of the country. They never apologized for the ww2 itself either.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
The so-called financial support was a measly sum compared to the pains my forebearers suffered. It came at the price of 36 years of hopeless despair and oppression, when their language, heritage, and very names were taken away from them. The poverty that they had to fight off was a direct result of your nation taking everything worth value away from us, forcing us to starve and live like scum off the land.
canpitt 2 years ago
And don't worry, we do learn of the support your government gave, how it gave us what we needed to finance our industries. We do not neglect it. What makes us stay outraged and angry against Japan is the swaggering, shameless attitude of your people. Everytime your leaders apologize to us Koreans, they then afterwards retract their statements to the Japanese public, or go pay homage to the Yasukuni Shrine, where the war criminals that caused us so much pain are.
canpitt 2 years ago
It was 35 years by the way. Don't you think Korea(Chosun) had a very good time? Chosun was the tribute state of China. It was extremely poor and miserable. Why don't you take a look at the photographs before the annexation and at the end of annexation. The good treatment was obvious. Can Korean double the population in 35 years if the politics is bad? Why didn't Chosun increase population at all before the annexation? You are brainwashed.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
Our time under your nation's rule was the most despicable, the most hateful, the absolute worst point in our history. So our country was poor before - so what? We lost everything the day your cursed emperor forced us to be his subjects. Our tributary relationship with China was a mean of keeping our independence away from the ever expressionistic nation. While we may not have been overly happy, it was a necessary, voluntary act. Your nation crushed that freedom, and made mine a part of it.
canpitt 2 years ago
That's why you Koreans never learn how Chinese treated Koreans during those periods. Koreans had to pay tax to China, tax includes harvests, kids, and virgin girls upon the request of China. If Korean would learn the fact in their textbook, Koreans have to admit how miserable Korea was. That's why your government use Japan as the scapegoat. But don't expect your stupid fabrication would work to current Japanese! Koreans asked Japan to annex your country.
NoNoSpice 2 years ago
You make it sound as if your country's act of making Korea a part of it was a good thing, that it "freed" us from the Chinese. You are the brainwashed one here.
canpitt 2 years ago
While we may never have loved the influence China had, we still managed to keep our independence, to keep our name against all odds. We never wanted strength, power, conquest or the glories of war. Our one and only true desire was - and still is - freedom, being able to reap the satisfaction and pride of being a Korean, the people that has survived countless invaders and hardships, and being able to live in peace.
canpitt 2 years ago
The day that your nation's armies brought my nation to its knees and hands, not only did you take the peace, the freedom, you crushed it. Your countrymen made a mockery of all our heritage, took the land that we called home, and took away all manner of resources.
If that wasn't enough, your predecessors also tried to erase every trace of the Korean people.
canpitt 2 years ago

NoNoSpice 2 years ago
So you are saying that your country's mad conquest was a good thing for Korea? You make me laugh. We Koreans never wanted your kind to meddle in our affairs, much less make slaves out of us. We did not inherit anything free out of your country's colonialism, but instead paid the steepest price in blood and pride. Do you even know what pains my predecessors had to endure, watching you island degenerates pervert and destroy our heritage? Your imperialistic, narcissistic mentality disgusts me, Jap.
