most ppl consider bull terriers, am staffs, and bullies to b american pit bulls. but those are very different breeds. check out some of the web pages around, it can b a lil confusing at first but u will learn alot about where ur dog comes from n how it became. i love any pit lines, they are f'n amazing dogs. n i love the history. ur dog is so pretty. i actually have 4pits 2 boxers. now to specify more clearly i actually have a am staff, a bully, and 2 true american pit bull terriers. love em all

@1995bronco302 Im not an expert by no means, however i hav read alot of info on Pits and have owned 3 over a 20 year span. one of them was given to me as a tennager and stuck by my side thru marriage, kids, divorce!! Passed of natural causes at 15 years. From the knowledge I have , i would bet anything that Sharky is a Full Blooded Pit. He has a square head that is due th the powerful jaw muscles that wrap around the top of a pits head, you can place your hand on top of their head and feel.

@1125jen there is so much info on the apbt lines its insane, but very informative. any of the blues or 100lbs pits u c are not actually apbt's. they are a hybrid type of pit staffys or bullies. a apbt is strictly a gamedog line, built for agility speed n strength. they are pure working dogs, most range from 20lbs to 40lbs. but ther is no weight standard- workingpitbulldotcom covers the true apbt standard-and very well i might add. hope i helped. n i just wanna clear it up for ne1 nothing more.
