sometimes, less is more... it's nice, what you have learned with videcopilot, and all the effects and flourishes are nice, but not like this.. especially the last word... flourish is nice, splat effect is nice, riot gear smoke is nice, flying snowy particles are nice, blinking squares are nice, but all this on one is really really... ugly... you need more style and less video copilot tutorials

lols u have to make it into a move .. click on composition -> make movie .... it will then take u to the render settings .. choose ur settings and click render ... depending on the FPS rate ur movie is and how long it is depends on the time it takes to render.

Get Sony Vegas Pro 9 or any version, drag the After Effects Saved file into it and convert it to something else that will play in Windows Media Player. Are you rendering on After Effects? Or are you doing Save As?

I've seen quite a few of their tutorials, its what I'm learning by. I just haven't understood the whole thing behind precomposing.

By the way. How long have you been working with AE

Hmm, I think I started with After Effects like 8 months ago. I learned everything from the videocopilot tutorials, some youtube tutorials and just by playing around with different settings.

And the deal with precomposing is, you actually make one layer from multiple layers. So if you put an effect on your precomposed layer, it puts the effect on all the layers you precomposed. It also saves you some render speed.

If you want an effect to be applied on all your layers you should precompose everything, but it isn't necessary. If you're going to render your movie you could just leave all the layers and adjust your 'work area' on the timeline so the space in the work area gets rendered.

I saw AK pressed a key that brough the time line into the work area. I'm always having to drag the end bars to the composition. Is there a key for it kinda like Ctrl + Z to undo, know what I'm saying?

For youtube, you should pick Windows Media Video (WMV) with frame size 1280x720 and the pixel aspect ratio should be 1: square pixels. As for the bitrate about 6000kbps. Hope that helped!
