I believe she's very near Dearborn, although her dog won't be competing for awhile since she just had puppies. You can check for AKC agility events in Michigan by going to the AKC website and going to the 'event' tab. Go to the 'events and award' search and then specify 'agility trials' under competition type.
You can find all the upcoming agility trials in Michigan (or any surrounding states) for the next several months!
I love your website. I wish I could get Hilde into something like this. I keep looking for Corgi groups in my area but the closest I found was Lansing which is a long way away from Dearborn. For now her favorite sport is squirrel chasing.
I have a friend with a pembroke who lives in Michigan. Her dog, Libby, runs in agility. There are a couple of photos of her on my website as well. From my home page at cardigan-corgis, look for the link that says, "Libby and Zoey...Two Peas in a Pod?" and you can see her.
5.9 yards per second is as fast as she as gone...that was in the spring of 2007. She'll be entered in another NADAC tunnelers and/or jumpers class this fall so we'll see if she's any faster.
There are definitely some fast Corgis out there. Of course, there are also some slow ones as well. My two males never came close to running as fast as this girl.
It's amazing how fast their short little legs can carry them!

Pretty fast jumper :-)

Thanks. I always kind of think the video looks like it is playing in fast-motion...she's a speedy Corgi.

Very quick. Corgis seem to have a more muscular front end perhaps equivalent to front wheel drive in a car.

I think i meant they're more heavy and wide at the front, perhaps making them more stable.
