No man, Deftones may have INFLUENCED all the emo screamo bands, but they aren't emo screamo themselves, except this song gets kinda close. The earlier stuff though, that had real grit and talent. But its hard to keep up that intensity and quality over the years. I more blame Green Day for the insurgence of the Emo-Punk though. They made it ok for preppy kids to listen to punk music, but that was just to get punk girls in preppy guys beds and vice versa.
