The whole "battle transition" screen in this game was SO annoying after seeing it 3 or more times. The dragoon morphs were also ridiculously annoying after the novelty of seeing pretty PS1 graphics wore off.

emperor doel (disc 1 final boss) was way harder to beat in than melbu frahma.

ok the easyist and fastest way to beat melbu frahma its to NOT use dragoons 3 reasons .1 if u use dragoons he uses his most power full attacks like the divine dragon cannon the 2nd form wont use it if u dont .2 its faster becuse the additions r faster and stronger than there attacks .3 everybody dies like 5 times against boss but when i DIDNT use dragoons i didnt die at all fact none got to yellow health and i never used healing items.4 recomended to use dart,haschel and albert.

I remember when I first played this game and Dart was down for the count in the last battle, I had no potions left and one character standing with low health. I hit Melbu Frahma one last time and then Dart got on his feet, "Divine Dragon Cannon" I was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

this boss fight really encompasses the problem with the game: stuff takes too freaking long, there's a million pointless cut-scenes and a really poorly translated dialogue. Also, dragoons are hardly worth using but thats another issue

I was kinda sad when I got to the to the final boss. I had leveled so much and had so many expensive rings that the most damage he did was about 59 or 69. it was just a long fight to the end.

I haven't played this game in years but its something that's stuck in my head. Every now and then when I think of RPG or remember when I was younger this pops into my head. Lotsa good memories and enjoyable hours spent on it. I'd really love to see a sequel or even a prequel about the Dragon Campaign or so for the modern systems. This game seriously didn't get the praise it deserved just because of the hype surrounding FF7 as though it was some divine rpg at the time. Sigh...

Does anyone else feel like they completely half assed the ending to this game?

The entire game was great, but then you get to this battle, with the different generations. The music seems stitched together. It seems like if they just made the generation-changing music flow into the next generation it would seem a lot better. Plus the ending movie was a complete letdown. It almost seems like they where going to make a squeal, then decided last minute that they had to end it right then and there.

@secretagentarkane Kongol does have a dragoon spirit. You have to buy his dragoon spirit I think in the 2nd or 3rd disc at that shopping city near the shrine. But you have to get it before the 4th disc thats a fact or else he'll say that he sold it.

dude, i still play this game, well hell im playin it right now, i usually just use dart, albert, and rose. cuz wen my health gets low just have rose use the health dragoon attack. but u did good using Meru, she does the most damage if u have her adds all the way up. and i beat this guy in like 15 minutes, it should not take this long 2 kill this guy. all my ppl are lvl 60

But yeah. This boss was easy. With the Master Additions and maxed Dragoon levels. Also a hell of a stock of healing rains. Thanks for uploading. STILL love this game! Currently on disc two with maxed Dragoon levels :D 60+ game hours though, XD.

Like the way you fought him.... He is an easy boss especially the way I killed him. I fight his first form in human form then once he gets to his second form I do special and just with that I can kill him. My main team is Dart Lvl 49, Rose Lvl 49 and Albert Lvl 49

These videos were made with the old smaller video display in mind, so they were encoded and uploaded at like 320x240 or so. (Yeah stupid choice on my part but it was done to save HD space)
