  • 1:20 Emperor Palpatine. LOL.

  • has anyone here watched hellsing ultimate? its like a sequel to this film but i think its better, this films still good though

  • Oh YES! Gary Oldman!

  • Loved This Underated Best "Version" of Bram Stoker's DRACULA....All The Actors/Actress's just Brilliant.....It's got it All....A Must Watch Movie :))

  • Gary Oldman is a real Vampire! Not some dumb glowing Vampire like Robert Pattison.

  • @Scoonertuna

Gary Oldman is a tremendous actor, one of my favorites. I still like his role a Drexel the best haha, but he is good in just about everything including this. He even sort of hid the fact Keanu Reeves is terrible.

I really like the look this movie had. The musical score is good too, like when Lucy returned to her grave with that baby and they were waiting to kill her, real creepy shit.

  • @Juggernaut76 Bela Lugosi is the one, true, Vampire of cinema. The only one who ever came close to matching his talented performance was Gary Oldman. I love this film too. It was a real departure from Francis Ford Coppola's usual formula. It showed the internal struggles of all the characters through amazing visualization and cinematography.

This type of Vampire flick I will watch. Bringing Vampire's into a modern world is a little blah for my taste. The only exception is Hellsing.

  • This movie blows twilight out of the water.. hell, twilight isn't even a vampire movie and anyone thinking it is, should be draged out into the street and slaped like a little bitch...

  • fire

  • Can anyone tell me if this remake is good or not? give me thoughts cause I wana know if I should c it or not?

  • @spyrothedragon590 It is a good movie, for the most part because it is scary, as Dracula is. Although it slightly differs from the novel in parts. I don't want to spoil too much, but in the novel, Mina vows to destroy Dracula before she gives into the curse, in this movie, well she feels a little different... and this is where I did not like it. It's still worth watching because Oldman and Hopkins played their characters so well. The orinigal with Lugosi is still the best.

  • @JurassicJeremyJames yeah i like the 1931 film. i'm gona give this a chance and i did'nt kno there was a novel. thanks buddy

  • @spyrothedragon590 Oh you should DEFINITELY read the novel! Let me know what you thought of the movie!

  • @JurassicJeremyJames yeah will do!

  • @JurassicJeremyJames @spyrothedragon590 I just finished reading the novel today. It's excellent. I just finished the Bela Lugosi film minutes ago. I'm not a fan of this movie. It was cut up awkwardly and nothing was explained. Coppola's film was much better I thought, but I hate that it's referred to as Bram Stoker's Dracula. It should be Coppola's 'Dracula,' kind of like Kubricks 'The Shinning.'

  • @TheCivilJerk Definitely a great book! I'm reading the sequel now! As for the 1931, I think I praised it because it fit the character of Dracula as a creature of the night, rather than Coppola's misunderstood, horny vampire LOL I do think the 1992 film was (in most cases) closer to the book and that's why I like it more plot-wise. But once they made Mina a whore, I hated it in that aspect, but just that. Both films have their ups and downs, and are great though in their own ways. :)

  • can everyone please stop talking about twilight and write what they actually think of this movie and if its wort watching?

  • Oh my God! It's Dracula! Run!

Stop being silly, Dracula is a character, he's being played by actor Gary Oldman.

GARY OLDMAN? OH CRAP! I'D RATHER IT BE DRACULA! RUN! RUN! RUNNNNNN!!!!

  • Dracula = Old Man

  • My complaint about this film is the romance between Count Dracula and Mina. In this movie, he is seen as a tragic soul, but in the original novel, Dracula is described as PURE EVIL! in the book, Dracula forces Mina to bend over, and starts sucking the blood off her night gown whether she liked it or not. This was entirely out of revenge on the hunters who vow to destroy him. There's nothing wrong about this, but just like to point it out.

  • @killer92173 it's a mistake that happens everytime, the book and the movie contradict in parts that wouldn't be expected...

  • @killer92173 Exactly! If this movie didn't emphasize on the sexual-romance aspect of Dracula and not made Mina a whore (pardon my French), this would have been perfect. The movie was still good though despite that. Van Helsing was the best in this movie. The movie looked really creepy too, as a Dracula movie should be! I am curious if they will do a remake of Dracula in the future. Kind of like giving the "modern vampire" generation a history lesson LOL

  • @JurassicJeremyJames Another thing to point out is in the novel when Jonathan first meets Dracula at the beginning, Dracula is cloaked all in black. In here, he's cloaked in red, which to me isn't very fitting. If I was the director, I might have chosen Christopher Lee to play the older version of Dracula. Not a major complaint here, but something to point out. IMO.

  • Me and Becki think this is epic

  • best romantic-horror movie ever.

  • dude that laugh that oldman does towards the end is fucking creepy

  • It's Joe from Little women!! O:14

  • I think Keanu Reeves was perfect as Harker, there is something about him that fits extremely good!

  • By far the best Dracula movie. Coppala rules

  • God i hope they make a modern movie about Bram Stroker's Dracula

  • my general prefrence is The devils concubine rather than edward cullens

  • keep clickin at 00:54!

  • 2:03 .... ok , he beat my laugh -.-

  • This looks awful compared to the original.

  • Young Winona Ryder looks like Keira Knightley

  • This was the good vampire love story, not Twilight.

  • 2:03 he just saw twilight

  • @savetheearthkillme Hahahaha YES!!!

  • Anyone know the music at the end of the trailer, while the credits are being shown?

  • Love Song for a Vampire by Annie Lennox.

  • @KnightZ1987 Did you find out the name of the track used in the end credits of this video? I've been wanting it as well since this movie was released.

  • Great movie!

    And great actors!

Only Keanu Reeves sucked ass, just as he is doing in every movie he participates in!

  • 1:19 he will strike back

  • you can meet Dracula in Castle of Transilvania,Romania

  • the rite:another movie with anthony hopkins

  • this movie makes twilight suck dick

  • This is the one and only Vampire movie! Bram Stoker would be very very ashamed if he saw Twilight

  • Even though vampires are kind of being overly done now, Dracula will never get old. And neither will the old-school vampire!! They are AWESOME!!

  • i hate fucking twilight

  • This classic is what a vampire movie should be, not that Twilight crap! =P

  • watched it last night, pissed in my pants...hahaha.

  • @victormohegun WHERE DID YOU FIND THE HOLE MOVIE PLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZ TELL ME I CAN'T FIND IT ENYWHERE!!!!!!?????

  • the old dracula is my all time favorite dracula!!

  • Why the fuck does everyone bring up Stephie Meyer on every single vampire-related movie and video? This is DRACULA. You don't have to mention Twilight at all. Just watch this trailer, which contains a totally awesome and old-school and real vampire, and forget Twilight even exists.

  • @whohie You are aware of the irony of your comment, yea?

  • This is my favourite movie by Francis Ford Coppola!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LilWayneMetalGod LOL Troll

  • @LilWayneMetalGod Is this serious?

  • granpa i like love you,you are the best.See how cool my grandpa is !!!

  • One of my favorites

  • mr anderson meets dracula

  • Dracula wasn't really a vampire, he was a cruel prince who terrorized his village and slaughtered many innocent people

  • now this is a trailer!!!! :O

  • Uh..what Dracula is this based off of? Bram Stoker's is the only one i'm familiar with..

  • A film by Nic Cage's uncle. No really, look it up.

  • Thumbs up if you're ready for Halloween!

  • To be honest, I though wasn't going to like this movie, hugely because of how sympathetic this "Dracula" was, but after watching it on Fear.net On Demand, I really dug this film. Visually and emotionally rich. Gary Oldman was sensational as "Dracula" and Winona Ryder was good as "Mina". 3 1/2 Stars out of 4.

  • Now that deserves fans not twilight!!!

  • The real dracula was not evil. He did what he had to do to keep the muslims out of the west.

  • @Varangian1915 Do you mean Vlad the Impaler, or the Bram Stroker's character Dracula?

  • * commissioner Gordon walks in and sits in front of the Joker*

I have crossed OOooociens of time to be with you!

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • Sirius black ? Lol i just realized its the same actor as sirius.

  • @KxK96 except he looks hotter here.

  • @TheSilverdoe91 indeed :D LOL. Im a male but i think this actor is real hot and also the count dracula from van helsing.

  • Totally the best Dracula ever . . .

  • this freakin sucks uuuggghhh!!!!!

  • I live in Romania and this movie suck.Lies,lies,lies.

  • @prostsinteu i live in romania too. it's a movie about vampires, remember? of course this didn't hapen. it's my favourite movie so stop saying shits about it. use your energy in other ways.

  • @prostsinteu This isn't about history. This is about a compilation of legend, myth, superstitions, mysticism and psychological truths. . reflecting something of the inner nature . . . of things . . . !

  • @tuberousness You don't speak english! ... of things!

  • @AnthonyMishima It's okay. You probably don't know "English"! & Je no sepa parle Switsa (Francais). Capiche!

  • @prostsinteu dude its entertainment

  • Ohh my God!, One of the best books ever written and Twilight just screwed it up!

  • @PaulaLlombart actually twilight was a different take on vampires and werewolves cuz there are other takes that follow the whole cant walk in day like the underworld series and the more subtle can walk in the day but you dont know i am not human like twilight

  • @PaulaLlombart ya they turned a blood crazed monster into a pussy boy

  • Gary Oldman-the best in all movies <3

  • this movie used to scare the shit out of me when i was a kid...and quite frankly, it still does

  • anthony hopkins would be a better dracula

  • 1:18 Darth Sidious!!

  • @Deutschland45 Hahahaha very funny and absolutely right :-) !!!

  • CHAMPANGE SHOWERS!

  • do any of you people ever say anything nice

  • 1:06 Dracula sucks her blood. red winged dragon of darkness.

  • camp

  • is it meant to be different from the novel itself?

  • @gabbagabon not that much detail as in teh book, but my favourite vampire movie...

  • @gabbagabon Adding "Bram Stroker's" to the title misled some into thinking it meant a faithful adaptation when in fact they added the author's name because they needed to distinguish their film from another.

  • Gary Oldman was great as William Hurt, but he sucked at playing Johnny Depp.

  • the second I figured out Gary Oldman played Dracula... I was sold.

  • Interesting how the trailer shows scenes (different angles of shots) that weren't in the final movie :) Now if only Coppola could clean up the workprint and release it!

  • I thought this movie would be better, but tons of special effects and too much of dramatic music destroyed it. It was rather funny than scary. I really tried to like it but i couldnt.

  • omg i really dont blame Mina Dracula is HOT!!

after seeing Gary Oldman as Sirius Black for the first time in along time on Harry Potter i just fell in love! XDDDDD

imma rewatch this just for him since i didnt like this at first XD

  • Probably one of the best, if not the best vampire film ever made.

  • @TheReichskommissar

    Agree :)

  • kakaka I fully agree!!

  • Dracula is the only original vampire, before Twilight and many stories that destroyed the myth of the vampire

  • @movisony4

    Totally agree :)

  • Hey guys

I only know music starting from 1:19 it is from Wojciech Kilar's "Krzesany for orchestra" hope it helps

(note "Krzesany for orchestra" is about 14:30 long that tune from the trailer starts at 11:14)

  • definately gonna watch this one !!!!!!!!

  • 1897 - Dracula sucks blood.

    2009 - Edward sucks cock.

    Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @bboylilou3

    LOL, love it!

  • @bboylilou3 I don't like Twilight, but I dislike your phrasing.

  • an original vampire story....Dracula¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • This is by far the best Dracula film. And Gary Oldman is by far the best Dracula. I love this movie. It's such a beautiful love story (Nina's and Dracula's not Nina's and John's) surrounded by darkness.

  • so let me get this straight dracula died was reborn as beethoven but couldnt find elizabeth so elizabeth is his immortal beloved it all makes sense now

  • My favorite horror movie of all time. This film is a masterpiece in every aspect.

  • Gary oldman looks a little bit like jonny depp with that long hair

  • Twilight insulted Dracula.

  • Twilight is an offens to the Draculs!

  • NOW THIS IS A SEXY VAMPIRE RITE HER VERY FUNNY

SONIC BURGERS NEW VAMPIRE COMMERCIAL FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY

  • me and my friend watched this movie at 2 am and it may just be that we were tired but this movie was hard to fallow to me...

  • don't you dare compare this masterpiece to a shit like twilight....

  • @Peacelover1212 compared to Twilight it might be a masterpiece but I thought the film itself was just good not great

  • @1992VoodooChild well i personally think that the movie was a little bit too heavy for me... but i enjoyed it.. :)

  • amaze

  • @:35, he turns her tears into diamonds....

  • At 0:54 is that a deleted scene? I don't remember that scene wich is Dracula outside the window throwing Arthur Holmwood seated in a chair, only with his had like magic. What do you say?

  • @ADSCP

That scene isn't in the final movie. In the final movie it shows him snarling not putting his hand onto the window, from memory.

  • I love twilight but this is one of the greatest Dracula Movies ever made.

  • ''Nobody has ever filmed it like Bram Stoker wrote it''-Christopher Lee

  • @sturmgewehr44athens

To be fair, movies have to make some changes when adapting from a novel (especially one like Dracula who's been exploited countless times), but Lee was right save for the 1977 version which is almost entirely accurate. However this one changed the whole point and theme! Visually it's great and Oldman, Waits, and the Brides are good, but it's love story is awful and the rest of the cast is bad. What other versions lacked in accuracy, they at least kept the central theme.

  • @balrog13571 My point is how exciting, dark and chilling is Stoker's writing. No movie can reach the atmosphere of horror that gives the reading of this masterpiece.Besides that i totally agree with you about the Dracula movies

  • @sturmgewehr44athens

Yeah that's true. I think the movies did about as much as could do with the budget and technical resources they had. Usually they get at least one thing right and it depends on what your looking for specifically. Nosferatu,Dracula,Horror of Dracula, etc had nice atmosphere even if they couldn't tell the whole story, The 1970 one got the character down, 1977's BBC one got the narrative and the rest of the characters down pretty well, and this... well it looked nice.

  • wow ! so dark ............. can't see this !

  • totally playing castlevania: sotn tonight, afterwards I will proceed to to get drunk and watch this great movie...fuck april fools day...i'm goin full dracula today lol

  • I have crossed oceans of time to find you. <3

  • movie was very much underrated.

  • why were the lines "There is a sinister, darker sideto him that I find irresistible; I have never met any man with such a passion for life" and "The power of his evil desire has no end" and the scene where Van Helsing says "Make no mistake: he must be stopped" cut from the film?

  • @BibleJoker2Face

Not sure, though soooo many scenes and dialogue were cut from the final movie to cut down final screen time. It sucks :(

  • 'Join me in eternal life.'

    so beautiful.

  • Vampires have become so gay! They were badass for 100 years and twilight managed to singlehandidly make them into chick flicks .

  • @goliathlup1 haaaaaa ha ha ha ha :D :))) you bet!!!!

  • @goliathlup1 My Friend I don't know what u know so much about Dracula and dramatized yourself as the all known guy.But have u really read Bram Stoker's Dracula. The Novel Pisses the Twilight off ur tiny imagination.

I don't know why people keep loving such idiotic and senseless movies nowadays.

  • @goliathlup1 Vampires have always been sexual monsters. From the moment Carmella was written in the 1870s all the way to the present, there is an underlying seductiveness about them even in this film. Need I also point out, Carmella was a metaphor for a dominant lesbian confusing and deflowering young women. Ergo, they have always been gay.

But there is 'I seduce and drain the blood of my same gendered victims' gay and there is 'I sparkle in sunlight gay'. The distinction is important

  • @VriskaSerket Thank you. I just found your response after I replied. Thank you. I also added about general campness about the male aristocrat vampire set up. Not to confuse that with being gay, but people who fall for using gay in insulting terms don't usually distinguish.

  • @goliathlup1 Not saying gay and camp are synonymous, but Dracula has always been a slightly camp character. Although Twlight vampires aren't gay as in homosexual. And if we want to talk about that there are plenty of lesbian vampires throughout the years. I really am not a person for Twilight either, I haven't even bothered to read the books or watch the films. But I'm not going to bring up insults on false ideas. The mary sue characters are enough. Not going to make gay as an insult.

  • @goliathlup1 way I see it shit like this is stereotypical embarrassing cliche vampire bullshit and Twilight made vampires cool again, just like vampire diaries and true blood. THIS however is a fucking JOKE

  • @goliathlup1 ..yes, but this movie is great! and gary oldman is an excellent, evil, and - at the same time - fragile vampire..........a real vampire...I think it's strange that, in twilight saga, we cant' never see a vampire acting like a vampire..I mean...sucking blood, killing people etc etc..

  • i love THIS version !!! epic

  • 1:39 lightning gone wrong xD

  • good

  • Screw Team Edward and Jacob. I'm Team Dracula all the way!

  • dracula- i haved crossed oceans of time to find u

    girl-your breath smells like dirt

dracula-il never be a emo vampire , seting tenage girls on fire

  • this is a great movie, philosophical.... mix between Eros (god of love) and Thanatos (desire of death) and the ambiguity of this feeling...

  • @EssentielInvisible you have the ideas very confused, pal.

  • @PLATOON72 Why? Just because you don't understand what i'm saying that doesn"t mean i'm wrong. It makes sense... and i know what i'm talking about because i've studied philosophy.

  • @EssentielInvisible you've studied without applicating it with yout mind: how the hell could you associate the love with the desire of death?? They are antithesis.

  • @PLATOON72 No... Well Hate is the opposite of love but they can be the same...

A lot of people experienced it. And Thanatos doesn't mean just "desire of death"" in ancient greek. I'm not supposed to speak with you. YOU don't even have arguments to defend your opinion. You just say "they are antithesis" and you are glad. And you started this boring conversation in the first place. Ok whatever have a nice day, i'm not going to be as rude as you are.

  • Yeah, because love is synonim of life, and the desire of death is surely the opposite. When you are in love with someone, and you are corresponded, you breathe life, when you are making love with someone, you're breathing live, that's why I've told that is the antithesis.

Sorry, but the only person that sounded rude here was you. I don't see where I was even just a few rude here...

  • @PLATOON72 Yeah ok, very good argument i must say. You see i can agree with your opinion. Now i"ll explain. This love you are talking about can easily transform into hate (and you shouldn't understand desire of death litterally), its opposite and at the same time its equal. When somebody hurts for example, betrays you

And the feeling called "love" has darker parts. It is not only pink butterflies. It's more complex. So what i was trying to say it's that you can feel 2 atithetical feelings in 1

  • @PLATOON72 Oh and you were rude when you said "how the hell"...I'm not here to fight.

  • Yes, because I really saw no liaisons between the two things. But m
