  • ESPECTACULAR !!!

  • Love this album by Linda!:)

  • this song is so good!i cant stop listening to it

  • Hands down the most versatile female vocalist of any generation. Period!

  • If you dont like Spanish then you DONT like LMR its a big part of her

  • perfect!

  • I agree. This is called REAL TALENT. Just that.

  • Que Bella!

  • BRAVO BRAVO LINDA QUE BIEN INTERPRETAS FRENESI

  • A wonderful performance and recorded just a short while before her feet started exertiin a few more PSI on the floorboards.

  • I have this CD. Whenever I listen to it, it takes me straight back to those old Rita Hayworth movies - and I think that's the spirit of the whole thing. Linda Ronstadt has no accent at all when singing in Spanish, and this is not what impresses me most, but the feelings she puts in her voice. There is nothing "fake" about it - Linda does have a Spanish soul. One million thumbs up.

  • Thing is she knows how to choose her musicians in any project she chooses as well....The guitarist in this album is absolutely superb...I mean I love my love's voice however I love her choice in musicians as well...Perfect...

  • YEAH Baby :) now this is the song. :D Oh yeah!

  • lindo(:

  • Brains, beauty (both inside & out) and unparalleled talent.

Since I first heard her in 1967, I’ve been a huge fan (and I must admit have had a secret crush on her like so many other men).

She has brought joy to many millions with her incomparable vocals, angelic voice and good deeds.

Johnnie Carson put it best, after hearing her sing, “When You Wish Upon a Star”, he said, “Now that’s real class!”

She is truly a national treasure.

Happy Birthday, Linda and best wishes for many more!

    Vale!!

  • fantastic, sounding as good as ever'

  • parece ser un hermoso bolero

  • lindaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

  • Very talented lady.

  • Love her politics LOVE HER TALENT!

  • @Tfill27 Her politics are off key and she hits too many bad notes. There is merit in the admonition to " shut up and sing."

  • I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet....!!!

  • Hate her politics . Love her talent. Sing on Linda your the best.

  • magnificent !

  • Linda is the most versitle female singer to ever perform.....any style she wants to sing, she is spectacular....i can think of no one else that can sing any style and be great at it.....just watch her from the 60's until now...r&b, rock, folk, country, spanish....all of it! The only other performer that could be this versitle was Elvis..I bet like Elvis, she can even sing opera if whe wanted to.....not to mention her beauty....the whole package

  • @moparterry she has done classical music, Gilbert and Sullivan Pirates of Penzance. and she was amazing. its very difficult music, and it was after that her voice really took on the incredible proportions it did in the 80s. The other singer who has recorded a huge range of genres is Streisand, blues, folk, standards, vaudeville, theatre, rock, pop rock, country, r&b, disco, gospel, and classical music too. But Linda edges everyone for doing the most authentically recorded genre albums full out

  • No wonder her perfect spanish pronunciation and accent.

  • Sorta makes me wanna learn spanish

  • LINDA LINDA EXCELENTE!

  • Excelente.

This song is included in the album "Frenesi" from the 1992 year with "The Ray Santos Orchestra".

  • Hey ! I've recognized Johnny Hallyday's trumpet boy, he's asian...He's everywhere ! .......The voice of Linda Rondstadt is better from year to year..I like her moving sensivity, really..This L.P. must be a Nugget..Thank You for it, YOU TUBE...Peace

  • what a great voice

  • WOW Giovanni Hidalgo looks so young here, excellent musician, have accompanied the the cream of the cream here in Puerto Rico.

  • @RaphaellHappy88 ??????????

  • Comment removed

  • she made me salute mexico in wc soccer...really she is great and makes me happy everytime I see or hear her

  • Bésame con frenesí, por favor.

  • This is so good. I don't think Linda was dressed appropriately for singing a sexy song like this. She looked more like a Nun!..........Still, it was great!!

  • Hold your women and your glass of wine and take it all in

  • I dont know what shes saying ...BUT SOOOO LOVE IT

  • Do kiss me Kiss me just like mi lips kissed you Give me the same frenzy My madness gave you Who but me Could teach you the road to love? My arrogance is dead My pride is at your feet! I want you to live just for me I want you to go where I go So that my sould belongs to no one but you Kiss me with frenzy...
  • Rock? classic? country? easy listening? rancheras? opera?

you name it. she sings anything goooooooddddddddddd

  • @harfuch1 mi sembra sia un bolero

  • @iolepranzo Will you please translate your comment to English or Spanish.

    Thank you

  • @iolepranzo parece ser un hermoso bolero

  • @iolepranzo

    parece ser un hermoso bolero

  • @iolepranzo

  • @harfuch1 This style is called Bolero, and she also sings it very well.

  • @harfuch1 You are so correct about it. You have illustrated very clearly about her musical talent.

  • Voces tan magnificas y no pasa nada

  • Nightsurf has said it all! Agreed, 100%!

  • Linda is a force of nature...a goddess from the angelic realms...her talent is just supernatural.

  • From 'Rock and Roll' to 'Grande Dame" has become our own Linda Rondstadt!

    Love you.

  • She's just a phenomenom, and it is going to be hard to ever match her incredible talents. I remember the first time I ever heard her in the 70's... I was totally blown away, and still am to this day. Love you Linda! I think I have to be her biggest fan ever! Debita

  • muy kurada musikaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa me enkantaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Linda is Mexican?

  • i think her dad was mexican-american

  • @MikeInBeantown Not, her dad was mexican, but she was born in USA..hear "songs of my father" or "Canciones de mi padre" in youtube.

    Grettings

  • @18seki . No she is NorthAmerican. As long as I know she use to live in Nogales, Arizona in the border with Mexico. She learned mexican music because his father liked it very much and heard a lot of Mexican music.

  • @JCMxyz actually her dad was mexican.

  • @shangoshun ronstadt is mex.? i thought her mom

  • @singapore7773 well I know her dad is. I know shes half mexican cause she even said it.

  • Linda is German/hispanic mexican whatever you want to call it. She is my dads cousin.

  • There's no "whatever" to it, and if you're related then you know she is PURE EUROPEAN. "Mexican" is not a racial type, but a nationality. She is of German, Dutch, and English heritage.

  • @19Truth53 Agree! I know many mexicans who are blond blue-eyed such as many people are in the USA. What is the true American and/or Mexican racial sterotype then?.

  • @18seki The children of mexicans born in the USA technically have dual nationality, that is the case for her: mexican-american..

  • gracIAS MAMY , DESDE PLAYA DEL CARMEN , QUE LINDA SALUDOS A AARON, JEJEJEJE!!!1

  • And Yomo Toro on Cuatro

  • AY DIOS MIO!!!! SUBLIME GRACIAS LINDA

  • Fantastico

  • BELLISIMO MUY LINDO

  • WOW..

  • Love you sweetheart!!!

  • Jay Leno? Are you kidding? Thee are at leas 25 musicians and stage decorations. Big time vocalist...bigger time arrangement.

  • Sweeeet!

  • Definitely not 1976. I believe it was 1993, from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

  • She is the top 3 singer in the world I only put Celine Dion in front of linda

she si great and I love her voice!!!

  • Celine is a flash in the pan. Linda has endured every decade from 1963 til 2009. No, Linda is a living legend. Wonderful, artistic, can sing anything, anywhere, anytime and I still love her with all my heart from day one. Love you Linda.

  • Thank U

  • My guess is that this video was done in 1976.

  • No, she was a rock chick then, when I know what she knows they can shoot me, I think she is very cool and if you watch she dances a curcuracha while singing, the world is a learning curve!

  • too fat for 76. This looks like 90's.

  • You may like 50 lbs women I prefer meat than bones ( just kidding) she looks tall is she ? okay let's talk about her singing not the way she looks...Beautifull voice and feeling what she does .

  • a beautyful woman man

  • Respectfully ---couldn't be '76. I saw Ronstadt in concert in '76 and again about one year later. I don't wish to be disrespectful or rude but, in fact, she was quite a bit 'lighter' in the 70s. Nevertheless, Linda is always sexy and one of the great vocalists of all time.

  • What am I missing, folks? I think she sounds delicious and looks delicious. If you don't have the album, GET IT. You'll never stop listening to it.

  • Beautiful song! Great Latin feel of the late '30's- I heard Artie Shaw heard this song while on vacation in Mexico in 1939 and jazzed it up, and it was a big hit in the states. Could someone send me the Spanish lyrics to this classic gem? Thank you- Patrick

  • go to google and put the singer+title+lyrics

  • Composer/arranger Alberto Dominguez was born in the Mexican state of Chiapas in 1913. In 1939, he composed two songs that went on to become standards of Latin jazz: "Frenesí," recorded by Pérez Prado who was from Cuba...

  • A voice of an Angel still Love her

  • !!!!!!Bravisima Linda !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mas que amor Franensi..

    the party begins 1:03

  • THIS IS A GREAT ORQUESTRA SOUND THAT WAS POPULAR IN THE 1930-1940's throughout Mexico and South America! I think this song MIGHT have originated in Cuba like so many of the great orquestra (Big Band) songs... My DAD LOVED THIS SONG!

  • This style of Spanish / Mexican music reminds me of my Mom . . . thanks.

  • Exactly! This cannot possibly be compared with the recording of Maria Creuza!

  • de Consuelo Velazques para el mundo.

  • Amigo, temo corregirte.

    My friend,

I am sorry to correct you but this is not a Consuelo Velazquez's song. This song (lyric and music) was created by Alberto Dominguez, one of the most important composers from Chiapas, Mexico.

    Saludos,

  • Gracias por la aclaración, saludos.

  • Hey! You added this on my Birthday! Nice present! Thanks!

ps - big Linda fan. Have all her CD's

  • She is so outrageous!! hot...hot song

    an all-time best-ever

  • Thank U

  • Es grandiosa esta mujer! Y la canción ni se diga! Gracias

  • Hola!!!...Es una video maravilloso. Thank you!!!. Abrazos!!!, ~Sergio, Patagonia, Argentina.

  • Yeah. Me, too.

  • sanırım beni elştirten kişi ya hiç ergen olmamış ya da coooooooook mükemmel bi insanmışşda kimseye özenmemiş.ben şunu anlmıyorum herkesin aynı olmak zorunda olduğu bi yer deil bu dünya ama insanlar kısıtlamaya çalışıyolar herkes birinin doğrusuna göre yaşsaydı hayal gücü yartıcılık,sanat bi yana yaşama sevinci bile olmzdı..fikirlere ve hayatlara,geçmişlerimize ve cocukluğumuza saygı,beceremiyosanız KENDİNİZE ayna tutun zirakendinizde bulduğunuz kusurlardan başkalrına sıra gelmez böyle krkterde

  • I love her version of Frenesi.

  • Que vozarron!!Everytime i try to make that voice ,all i get is michael jackson voice. Yuck!!

  • Excellent. Thanks for the clip. This type of latin music reminds me of my mother, aunt and grandmother while I was growing up. Love it. Thanks again.

  • my Gog what a voice

  • Linda Ronstadt is an icon of a bygone era and for that she commands respect and awe. The fact is there is no one out there who can hold a candle to her but son, let's face it, she is 61 years old and no one at 61 sounds like they did at 35. Only the cream of the crop can still sell tickets at 61. The "B" listers end up down in Florida performing at the Red Buttons Auditorium at Century Village. Life can be cruel!

  • What happens at 1:52? 2:59? Look, it is a fact of life. Maria Callas lost her voice in her early 50's. People age and the parts wear out. It is sad but we can still listen to her studio recordings.

  • I think as we get older we savor the strength of our heritages in America, not the differences! We here in the South have Cherokee/Irish/Italian/German ancestry, so who is an American?

Felicidades.

    Greetings :)

  • linda never forgot her culture she will always be a chicana from tucson

  • I have read that she always thought of herself as Mexican American.

I have this album. I love it. I don't speak a lick of Spanish, and I don't care. The album rocks (salsas?). She sings great. (Yes, at 61 she has lost a little something, but who hasn't. She is still my favorite.) The band is great. If you are a Linda fan, and don't have the album, you are missing out.

    Perfida is my favorite, though.

  • her father is mexican

  • You are so right. I can't pick a favorite on this album because each one has its own flavor. If I had to choose one it would be En Mi Soledad. Awesome song, voice and accompaniment

  • Her studio recording of this song is far superior. Unfortunately, here her beautiful voice is starting to fade. Let's hope she just had a throat infection or something. She is and always will be a treasure.....

  • that studio recording is one of my most frequently played songs. what hurts is her appearance. . .just watched the 1978 movie "FM" - what a contrast. i'm no better - not criticising . i looked great in 78, and i look awful now. LR sounds as good as ever, though, good to know she's still got it.

  • i got a real kick when my uncle told me linda made scrambled eggs for him for breakfast. she could have ordered out, but did it herself. so cool.

  • I always liked linda, but I was amazed to hear her doing latin music. see that little guy with the cuatro sitting down to her left? that is the one and only cuatro master, my uncle....YOMO TORO.....kick ass Yomo!

  • Cool...

  • I have Eydie Gorme doing an up tempo version of this with a seriously good big band chart backing her. It's my favorite vocal recording!

Linda does a nice version too. :)

  • She is perfect.Nothing else to be said. This album is fantastico.
