Cena wouldn't want to win by cheating, and he wouldn't want to keep the title by losing via DQ. I think he asked for Jericho to be at ringside just in case Orton decided to beat on him after the match was over. I think it was put in the story so that the player would feel involved, but it would have been much cooler if after Orton won Jericho attacked him, because God knows he had it coming.

it is called kip up. When you use kip up , all your damage goes away for a while , but you recieve it later on in the match.
