Political parties should be outlawed. That way the representatives would actual represent their constituents instead of some BS party agenda. Both parties are for this shit because it's their excuse to tax the hell out of us. Just like gatt, nafta, amnesty, bank bailouts. They aren't listening to the people. They're fucking us. And now the republicans are hijacking the tea party movement. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
Man -- you Repubs fell for it hook line and sinker. Go Libertarian/Independent or don't bother. The distance between the two parties on socialization of the markets is very small -- each just wants to handle it in his own way.
Fortunately (from my perspective), this guy isn't as socially backward as the bible thump-nuts hoped, so I'll take that as a very thin silver lining.
totalfloat hit the nail on the head. This issue is really about big government extending yet another tentacle into our lives in order to control and "protect" us.
This is the same government that sends soldiers off to die for empire, do you really think it cares about you or your families health?
OMG---his comments are very disappointing...Do they GET it??? Aren't they listening??? We don't want government running healthcare--exclamation point! Healthcare is about the government controlling and limiting every aspect of our lives...about power and control, not at all about caring for our health... :(
Same could be said about the insurance company... I'd much rather the people (we the people) controlling how their health care is paid for. BESIDES... the government (we the people) will not be owning or running the hospitals. AND... the majority of we the people want the President to fix the health care.... that is a huge reason why he was elected in the first place.
I agree with you all the way up until you say that the majority of people wanted POTUS to fix health care. Sorry--i don't think that's why he was elected at all. Actually, 80% of us were satisfied with our current health care. Only 36% of the people wanted to fix healthcare. In the end, I think your concerns re: insurance co are well placed. Here's hoping that We The People will maintain control over our health and our care.
"The Constitution does not grant the Govt the right legislate healthcare."
I wish you were right, but the Constitution doesn't grant govt the right to regulate drugs, or run social security, or medicare, or housing programs, etc.
Very little the government does is Constitutional. This doesn't stop them from doing it.
Not to mention that the Constitution requires all states to pay their debt in gold and silver. Yeah, like that is ever going to happen again.
What he said seemed very reasonable. I am not a supporter of Federal programs to provide healthcare/ insurance for the country, but what he's saying in this clip is far better than what that woman he ran against was preaching. She was the actually socialist!
He is legit. A+ from the NRA, just because he thinks everyone should have health INSURANCE does not make him any less of a defender of liberty. BTW he single hand-idly sunk the health care bill. Give him some credit.
i don,t want healthcare. GO HOME....HEALTHCARE GIVES U FREE RDF CHIP......TELL sATAN WHEN U CHIPPED PEOPLE GET TO YOUR UNREST DESTINATION IN HELL FOREVER... HE NEVER HAD A CHANCE FOR MY SOUL....JESUS OWNS IT!!! I,M A SLAVE 4 CHRIST!!!!!!!!!
Welp, after my initial euphoria at seeing the Kennedy dynasty fall, I think I'm going to have to start laying in to Scott Brown. Too bad Scotty, you could have been a hero, but you are already treading the path of a zero.
Well ya know, he could just be schmoozing to get seated faster, but yeah, glad I don't live in MA, but guess it doesn't matter where you live in the country anymore, politician are all the same, talking out both sides of their mouths.

Remember! Sarah Palin supported this guy! Tell Sarah to take a hike when she announces her presidential run.
"I would have" endorsed him, she said, "if he had requested it."
Google "Sarah Palin calls to congratulate Scott Brown" and read the story, with the above quote, on Politico's website.

Well, we made our voices loud and clear for the dems. Now it's time to give Brown a hearing aid!

haha.. funny spin on the situation. Liberals sent a message to the Democratic leadership... Brown was handed this victory.
