@ILikeFryz I have a bandit and both cars are so alike in speed it does not make a major difference. The bandit is slightly faster and will not break as often due to the shorter wheel base. The rustler is steadier when driving though and will probably do better off road. You can actually convert a bandit into a rustler and vice versa for around $35 of parts at a local hobby shop if you change your mind.

@Assassin2944 You can take the bandit off jumps, but it is not as tough as the Rustler is. Just make the jump gradual, and you should be able to go full speed w/out any problems. :)

I have a Stampede and a Slash, and I really like the Slash! It handles better than a ST but tackles rough terrain better. For this kind of action tho? A Stampede or a Rustler can't be beat!

@minimansven3 it depends on what you like to do like me i am an off-road feller so i have a traxxas stampede it is good for off-road and jumping so it depends the bandit is more for sand and road the rustler is more of a road it can go off-road but it doesn't have very high ground clearence so dont go down a lime-rock road you could tear the wiring

The Bandit is faster and lighter nad handles better. It is more of a groomed track racer. The Rustler is a better basher because it has bigger tires and more suspension travel.

johnwo1 I suggest getting the vxl & not the xl-5 as the titan motor will not last long. The Bandit is faster than a rustler I believe. Deffenatly get the 3s 8000mah 11.1v LiPo, either Maxamp's or SPC. Maxamp's is alot more expensive than SPC but you get GREAT customer service & reliability.

It would be nice if Traxxas came out with smaller and larger than 1/10 scale. Hell everyone else is putting out 1/18s and 1/8, and race cars. I'm having a hard time finding the 4tec, and I'm not sure how a belt-driven system would hold up under brushless and 11.1V Li-Po power like a shaft-driven system would.

I'm sure I can find any 6 cell battery (the higher the current capacity the better) but can I use a 7 cell 8.4V Ni-MH battery on a stock XL-5 or would I burn up the ESC?

hi and thank you for your good comment. about your question mate i just want to say to you that the esc can handle a 8.4v battery but the motor(12t titan) will not.i tested in my rustler and the motor was burned in the 3rd run.

its probably a lot more money than you think it will be. i spent almost 400 dollars on my stampede it was like 370 or something make sure you get good batteries and charger makes HUGE difference

nice video. my only advise is to hit the throttle in the air to keep the nose up. if the nose gets to high, let off the throttle or tap the brakes. it should give you the ability to have complete control in the air.

I ran a 8.4v 7 cell on my bandit xl-5 and it killed the motor in 2 runs. So we tried it in my buddies rustler xl-5 and same thing but his lasted 4 runs. The cars were only 1 month old too. Now we each have the novak 5800 systems,anaconda tires,8.4 7 cell batteries, Wheelie bars, And custom painted bodies. Im trying to post a vid as we speak but I am not good with computers.LOL

If you go to peaguses hobbies they will have it. I saw it there a couple of days ago. Hobby People might get in last week of April or the Beginning two weeks of May give or take. Still try peaguses.
