this movie got me hooked on the game of pool. I play for relaxation, comaraderie and the thrill of competition. The game of pool has it all. An average sized guy like me can compete at the top level against anyone...including women. It demands finesse, not strength.

I think if you are going to make a sequel the least you can do is make something that's different from the original. Charge the material and take risks. It's as much a brilliant sequel as it is its own film.

...for me the movie was almost all about Tom, Tom shone! With his cute smile and Chicago style attire and with pool cue swinging unselfconsciously, he's was a performance of respect and semi-constraint, along side that of the academy award winning co-star Paul Newman...

Will Cruise ever win an academy award? Well, he has said it doesn't bother him either way and one may wonder if he really feels this way in his heart when he shows such admiration for those that have one.
