and I just want to say how pleasing it is to see non-gay organizations participating in the parade...they were scheduled in this year but I hear there was a foul up and they didn't get their application paperwork in time or something... but the Pride Parade should eventually become something like the Chinese NY parade or the St Pat's day parade -- lots of participants, and everyone can be "gay for a day"... now that will be something!
"Gay" in a sense that they fit the occasion or "gay" as in the derogatory usage? If it's the latter then I, along wath many others, would be very offended by that.
actually, "Gay" in the sense that they seemed extremely happy to be there! I'm reclaiming the original definition for the word before it was claimed by the "'Gay' in the sense that they fit the occasion' crowd. What do you think? :)
The usage of the ':)' key combination currently indicates a happy smile in webLingo, so I doubt very much I meant it in a derogatory way, and if I did, I would be very suprised and offended myself!
I have never seen a base drum player jumping around like that - that is a little too happy
