Sounds bad? Remember that quality is reflective of what equipment and software you purchase. I have live 8 and bought ableton to record and lay down tracks. What sold me was that I like the time stretch option so I can import tracks and samples stretch them to play "in time" and "in key". Great job - keep recording and creating my friend.
@roomfullofidiots the point in uploading this video was just to share different uses of Live for recording purposes, so people could see there's more than EMP, i want to see what you have to show or share instead of trolling on you tube videos, what do you have to offer, what have you posted other than pirated movies you do not own the rights to showcase?
@arandomdj so what? who's talking about me? If you ARE going to upload videos concerning recording, with your own recordings in them, I believe it should sound pretty good. that way, while i'm watching your video and trying to listen what you have to say, i will actually believe what your telling me because your music sounds damn good (or production technique ,etc). I appreciate your spirit, what with the showing of different uses of Live, but I just don't like what I hear. that's it.
@arandomdj the problem with trying to show someone something like this and not having good sounds is 1)so what. you're going to share "different uses of ableton"..enlighten us because no one can figure this out for themselves. you hook a mic up to an interface and program some drums. big woop. 2) if you are trying to show me how to do something, i'm NOT going to listen to you if what you are doing sounds like shit! Are you going to learn guitar from someone that doesn't know how to play guitar?.
3) if someone gives feedback and you dont like, it isn't trolling. So in your mind, NO ONE is supposed to give a negative opinion right? we are all supposed to be fucking sheep and cow tow to other's bullshit. fuck P.C. speak your mind. at least you know where i'm coming from 4) just because i dont have videos uploaded here, doesn't mean i haven't dont anything. how the hell do you know what i've done? i told you what i thought of your "instructional video" and you didn't like it. get over it
@MiztaSeoul you would spend your hard earned money on this? even if it was free...i wouldn't download it. it would be taking up a part of my hard drive.
I use Live lite 7 and have an M-Audio mobilepre, But i really have no idea how it is supposed to be connected to my computer. I was wondering if anyone can please explain how exactly I'm supposed to have my interface connected to my computer.
@guitaro321 connect it to the computer via the (I assume) included USB cable. Once in Lite, youll have to go to Preferences and choose the M-audio as the default soundcard. For anything else regarding the actual software configuration, it should explain in the virtual manual
but i wanna know to record a song in pieces withouth having to play the whole song like record the verse one time and then just copy that one and duplicate it instead of havin to play taht verse again over and over in the song
i tried the copy and paste but when i do it it leaves a little time inbetween bars and i wanna how to do transiton them into each other smoothly wihouth any of those silences
Hello, my name is Frank and i have Ableton 7. I was wondering how i could fix the latency in my recording. I have a fast PC (4 gb ram 2.3ghz) and know it has to be something with the settings. Any tips??
really?, guitar was recorded live in one shot, just added some amp effects & distortion using slayer as a fx unit. Though Reason has some pretty good distortion fx's too
very nice! finally some non-techno mixes :D although many mixes with ableton sound great! this one is definately cool - you might want to ad a _little_ reverb to the drums :D
I like it

its cool to see someone's making other styles than electro on ableton, as do i, but the drums are really terrible...

yeap, you need to pick up an audio interface - an Emu 0202 ($129) will fit you great if you don't need phantom power for a condenser mic :)
