  • hopefully one day you'll travel to Australia and do the Canning stock route. Not pretty, but challenging

  • beautiful country. Thanks fellas

  • Only heard whine

  • Did this ride in July 1999 on my 1977 BMW R100/7 with no breakdowns. Then on to Prudhoe Bay before returning to Oklahoma. Glad to see other people doing this!

  • Stumbled upon this vid accidentaly, gotta subscribe. I like your deadpan sense of humour.

  • very inspiring for this new rider! thanks

  • how reliable are ktm´s in long term? i usd to have a bmw gs and im thinking about buying a ktm

  • @poiovissa These were test bikes on loan from the companies, so we didn't have them much longer than the duration of the ride. That makes it hard to gauge long term reliability. The KTM showed the least wear and tear of the three bikes, due to build quality. The main problem with the KTM is a waterpump seal that goes around 20,000km. Other than that solid. There's a full written review of all three bikes on our site: OneWheelDrive(dot)Net

  • @onewheeldrive Thank you very much

  • outstanding work gentleman..enjoyed every video!! well done...

  • Very nice videos, thank you for posting. I`m sitting here in agony, just sold my XT660X, and waiting for my 2011 F800GS. Cant wait!

  • Nice vid , but your style of humor isn't funny

  • @dawesxm Well, plenty of other videos for you to watch on YouTube then. No need to be rude or negative. Off with you.

  • onewheel,,,,should we ride to Alaska from Vancouver, BC leaving July 18th? I guess my question is how is the weather and bugs that time of year...BTW..LOVE your videos they are awesome and educational!

  • Ok Neil...you guys have to stop showing these vids immediately!!

...you're making me want to get a new bike and take off and ride forever!

Anyway, we're neighbors; I'm in Bellingham. So stop by anytime!

Great rides and thanks for the adventure!

    George

  • Neil,

Love the vid. Been a long time. Hope all is well.

    Anthony

  • Anthony,

Doing very well thanks. Right now kitting out two Honda Varaderos for a bit of light Baja Adventure.

    Cheers,

    Neil

  • Love these videos. They are inspiring me to not only take more pix, but to document my trips with video.

    Thanks for doing this.

  • First off you're very welcome.

Second, when you document your trips you're welcome to add them as video responses to ours. Share the fun!

    Cheers,

    Neil

  • Loving this series, what a great ride. Hope to do it myself one day. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • I highly recommend it!

  • Alas, I was so with you until the splendid video was profaned with the "B" word: "Blackflies" : Spawn of Satan...despoiler of paradise...Vampyre kin to the evil Mosquito.

Monsanto scientists should be taken out of programs to grow 60' tall cobs of corn, and set to work GMO'ing blackflies and mosquitos that find human scent/blood as palatable as a fresh barrel of DEET.

(Keep the beasts in the food chain for all the food they provide birds etc., but tweak them so humans taste like death.) :D

  • I believe it can be summed up as, "Run away! Run Away!"

  • yeah you guys got 5 star love from me. Neil I love your vids. Keep em coming!

  • @lensgrabber Thanks kindly! Greatly appreciated.

  • Fantastic stuff! Looking forward to more.

  • @dialdn One more in this series, then we're off to the Baja.

  • You are the man!!!!....excellent video as usual.

  • @serguti Thank you, this one was a tussle to get done. The Mac died and the motherboard had to be replaced. :(

  • Great video !!!!! ...

But remember..R1 Sjaak & Doris rode these roads in 2009 in WINTER !!!...so you boys had it easy :-)

  • Yep, it's the maxim of any adventure, no matter how hard it seems, someone else has done harder. And I fully admit we're not hard core.

I don't really consider these rides suffer-fest competition, but value the enjoyment and what I learn along the way.

  • first,,,,,really good..
