Every jewish girl is a princess, thats why she's dressed like this, very nice video every time im at a wedding i always leaver before the mitzvah tantz i wanna see it in person...
I can't help but notice. The rabbi here dancing w/ his daughter, his dance resembles the "Holy Ghost hop" I've watched people do in Pentacostal services. There is something generally Pentacostal about Chasidism. Most one wonder about the common human impulses which drive our religious expressions.
The future belongs to the fertile. By the end of the 21st century the world will look like a very different kind of place. Many people, even entire nations, will no longer be around. But, b/c of people like this, the Jews will still be around. I don't think most Jews will be Chasidic, many of these people will evolve into something like modern Orthodox. It sometimes seems as though the only people who will be left then will be Orthodox Jews, the Amish, & the Duggers.
The world exists because of Torah. The reason religious Jews have so many children is not only to ensure the survival of the Jewish people but to fulfill the mitzvah of learning and teaching Torah from one generation to the next, otherwise we're nothing
I think the facecovering in this scene, post-chuppa, must be b/c she's doing the uncharacteristic thing of dancing in front of 1,000s of men! Once she returned to the women's side, I'm sure she removed it again.
I don't think her meringue dress is traditional. It must be because she's like royalty: the daughter of an esteemed Rabbie, i.e., "The Rebbe" of this Satmar sect & locale.
This is beautiful --- full of love and tradition. Mazel Tov! BUT --- and this is very important --- why can't people who have such a great tradition learn to love the world. See, the fact is these people hate other Jews, hate goyim, hate Arabs and very much hate gays. Why can't they just live their lives and let others live theirs. The diversity is what makes Man humane. Lieben und lieft lieben! I love watching this but am saddened by the knowledge of the hate.
Why can't people who preach love stop with assumptions? As it is a Chasidishe wedding, namely Satmar, the people in the video would have more of a problem with Zionists and the Israeli ruling regime than Arabs. Where is the hate of "goyim" and the extreme hatred of gays? I am Chasidish and I hate nothing. However, I am endlessly perturbed by people who see clips of small (yet vocal) minorities and make broad assumptions.
The dancing expresses great joy at the beginning of the new couple creating a loving family together. If the clothing, music and dance steps are unfamiliar to you, try to see past those surface details and try to see with your heart.
The Rebbe is dancing with his daughter in a ceremony called "the mitzva Tanz", is a beautiful minhag. This is the only ocasion that is permited and only the bride no other ladies are allowed. It has profound meaning that will touch the heart of everyone. Beautiful!!! MAZEL TOV!!!

Beautiful and touching. But, why is the face of the bride still covered after the chupa. She is now married and should uncover her face.
I am not Jewish, but I think that is the rule.
