@colinrenteria2006 no you wouldnt the only reason your as good as you are now is because these guys paved the way and did all the hardwork figuring out whats possible! i'd like to see you pull a nice long fishbrain on a pair of 1996 majestic 13 tw3lv3s!
@mophead684 so true. We had to come up with the stuff. Kids these days just have to look and learn. They start off by learning true fish -> 360 allyoop fish. The learning curve is much steeper for them, but they dont know what it was like back when we had to skate sticky ledges... Shit we didnt even have H blocks. How many times i stuck on unities because i had no h block. Sliding alone was hard enough!
comparing yourself now to skating from the early days is just stupid and disrespectful
i was just barely skating in 1996.. but theres no way in hell that i could ever have been this good back then.. it seemed unthinkable to topside acid a ledge like hubbas
shit even now most people would think twice.
i love how julio just cruises for alot of the section.. all style.. something thats lost in todays skating... everyone wants to do the big tricks.
I remember skating when this first came out brings back such good memories too bad once you got into hs skating became gay I ride dit bikes now its much better but man I remember skaing on friday nights in SF wih jon starr julio jason marshll matt andrews tons of OGs at hubbas hideout and mini hubbas
oh my this was so sick back in the day, that poor bastard getting suck into the plane got me everytime and thats saying summit as i used to wach this about 3 times a day.
I was at Stanford University when all of a sudden this RV pulls up with a Hoax sticker on it and out comes Arlo, Brian Smith, Jon Julio, Brian B Hardin, and all them old schoolers. Best day of my inline skating life.
@basslistic never too late my dude, im geting back into it at 32. just got a pair of valo tv.2 customs in the mail 2 days ago. i doubted at first but man they are some mean skates. i actually posted my setup on valo's site look for Ilitch from the Bronx from NYC :)
