I grew up in a large family and when I was little I never had to be alone but now everyone has grown up so I have to be alone rather frequently, and my boyfriend likes to be alone sometimes, and so does my best friend, so I have to too. I watch this video every time I'm alone and it makes it okay now.

WOW! the 'acceptable' places to be alone (bathroom, coffee shop, library). I never realized that, although I have been comfortable with myself alone most of the time in my life (except maybe when a teen and early 20s), & in fact, enjoy it very much. Your bathroom comment made me remember a long dead friend who was brought up in others' households. She loved bathrooms because as a young child it was the only place she could be alone & not have to be 'on' entertaining everyone.

Then people are afraid of those who are alone because they have a strength they don't. Visited PA over the holidays and took a trip out to NYC alone ... it was one of the best days of my life. Funny though ... went for pizza at one of the local tourist traps and you could have sworn I was an alien. All in all, a day alone in NYC was a very liberating, thought-provoking, genuine experience. Thanks.

I must admit though ... the irony that I find myself drawn to and wanting to share experiences with others that appreciate being alone. ;-)

Its not a guide, it is a reminder that being alone isn't bad. Being alone is natural, and people shouldn't suffer from it, but should live and embrace it. Its a reminder that everyone's time is coming for them to meet someone, but first they need to accept themselves. If you don't agree then don't ruin it for other people.
