  • LONG LIVE MAXX MUSCLE. LOL

  • Wow I don't think ive ever seen a worse elbow drop lol

  • What was he thinking...

  • How tha hell did MaXX fit into tha Dungeon of Doom? I mean I thought it was like a monstrous/outcast faction into darkness and all..I mean they usually got there ass kicked by tha Horsemen and then tha NW0 I just didnt get DoD

  • They we're a totally un-credible faction. kevin sullivan was believable as a maniac but he just wasn't a good wrestler and everyone else either were over the hill (shark, butcher, kamala), totally miscast (konan?!?) or just plain ??? Maxx Muscle

  • @Marcusofdoom666 Speaking of miscast, how about Big Bubba as a member! The DoD's problem was that they were a holdover from the cartoony 1995 days and once the NWO was around, they were completely superceded and just became a jobber stable. It didn't help you had about 15 guys in it (you forgot to mention Meng, Barbarian, Braun the Leperchaun, Hugh Morrus, and probably a couple others I can't even remember).

  • @thuggin83 They gave him a mohawk, that's how. I remember Maxx when he was Maxx Muscle, and wore Zubaz, a tank top, and a fanny pack. You're typical gym rat/steroid dealer.

  • maxx reminds me of the great khali and batista. just big and talentless with no real wrestling abilty.

  • @ballinonabudget So you're saying he could be World Champ in WWE nowadays. Shame he retired lol.

  • lololol exactly

  • Maxx Muscle is the former bodyguard of DDP back in 1995

  • maxx = jobber?

  • Yeah , if i remember that was his last match before his release

  • I was a DDP mark when he refused to join the nwo and became a fan favourite. I marked for him. The storyline made me like him. Over the course of the years, the more and more I learned about the business and realised DDP wasnt all that great of a wrestler, but for his size, and age, he rocked. He had lots of atributes that made him special. His gimmick, the fact that he became a wrestler so late, and that he was one of the hardest workers in the ring, I respect him as one of my all time greats.

  • @ravelicon I'm no wannabe insider/smark, so I don't hate DDP for being Bischoff's boy, or that he scripted his matches in advance (vs the make-it-up-as-we-go method most wrestlers do), since Macho Man also worked like that. DDP deserved his push. He was genuinely over and had a killer finisher. He worked up from being a low-card average heel to a genuine top-level guy. It's not like he was some bum given a big spot for no reason.

  • i was never a huge DDP mark, but I'm still pissed how WWE ruined page's image.........and who in the hell is Maxx is that the guy from Streets of Rage 2?

  • His health ruined his image, and as we know the WWE doesn't let people rehab

  • @DeathAdder83 Maxx actually used to be DDP's associate and would accompany him to the ring when he was a low-card heel in 1995. He was called Maxx Muscle then and wore Zubaz and a fanny pack. They threw Maxx a bone and put him in the Dungeon of Doom by this point, long past when the DoD was any sort of effective entity. I don't think Maxx ever won a match.

  • @peterp21 Oh okay cool, that's interesting to know. I've been a fan since 1989...but took about a 3-4 year break in the mid-90's, so I totally missed out on this Maxx fella. Sounds like Maxx Muscle was sort of like DDP's Alex Riley back then lol.

  • DDP wanted to hit that springboard clothesline of his but when Maxx was more hurt than DDP thought....DDP just switched up his moveset and hit that springboard splash. Thats a fn wrestler! Take notes people!
