@nfvponte This is a lot bigger than any normal asteroid. There are many moons that have such volcanic activity or were once capable of it in our solar system. Besides, it doesn't matter how hot or how cold the object is, it's the force of the impact that ultimately matters. You should pick up a book yourself.

@helgih580 the outer is pretty much vacuum, and vacuum is cold, soundless empty...so the asteroid, unless it is close to sun, it isn't HOT!! If it was hot, it means that our planet was also close enough to be boiling to...

@nfvponte volcanic activity comes from within, it can take a long time for the planets core to cool down even though it loses heat into space. And seriously, who cares where it's from or whether it's supposed to be a planet, moon or an asteroid? It's not supposed to be realistic, this is a simulation (simulation as in not real, DERP). Whether it is cold or hot doesn't even matter, what have you been smoking? -Probably your books, ha ha. I laugh at your inferior intelligence.You are not realistic

This apocalyptic scenario is pretty much a visual depiction of Armageddon as described in Revelations (if you believe in that.) I'm not at all religious or anything but after reading that particular section of Revelations it left me more than a little disturbed at how accurately it was describing an impact and its "extinction level" aftermath. This is truly the stuff of nightmares (which I myself have had but always wake up right before the moment of my fiery death............

yeah well reguardless of where the story of Revelation came from...(I myself do not follow ANY organized religion)...this probably is how it will all end...because we all know how man CLEANS out ground that is no good...they burn it...fire cleanses the earth sooooo.....guess we'll just have to wait and see!!!
