  • I have a plethora of great memories associated with this game and the wonderful music. Thanks for uploading!

  • i want to break out my SNES and play this again

  • man! in friday i went over to my friends house and till the early hours of the morning we were playing all of the SNES and N64 classics, felt like the early nineties...

  • Love this music. More to come? Lol. Such an old upload =P WORTH IT

  • the rocket belt song always sounded like someone going La la la~ to me

  • @earthboundisawsome Such a weird sound effect. wah wah plus la la

  • memories :,-)

  • This is the game that allowed me to realize the power of the SNES. The phenomenal music and graphics represented a giant leap over the NES.

Moreover, Pilotwings was just such an innovative game -- in technology and theme.

  • Koji Kondo really did a great job here.

His music fits perfectly the atmosphere of the game.

  • @Dibrome What about the composer, Soyo Oka? She deserves most of the credit. She also did the SNES game music for Super Mario Kart and Sim City.

  • Yes..the music on this is quite suave and relaxing, the tune at 6:58 was always my favorite! I bought this game shortly after it had originally came out, aughh the memories. I really miss the simplicity of game consoles like the Super nintendo. On a slightly related note, does anyone know what kind of sequencer/keyboard this music was composed on?? Vintage video game soundtracks fascinate me haha!

  • Its so bad that the great sound is sounding tone-deaf im afraid.

  • fuckin damn good game

  • was it the same person who made the sim city snes music?

  • @SOUTHWESTENZ it was ^^

  • OMG My fav muisc...I still remember buying this the day it came out. salt water wells in my eyes lol

  • If you owned this game in '92, congratulations to a grand fraternity club, like a piston car of your own in 1890.

  • @pNeeko And if you had it '91?

  • @Jsd8675 Then you must have been a friend or colleague of Henry Ford, part of a clandestine community, in on the great fun before everyone else!

  • donde puedo bajarlo

where can i download it ?

  • AHHHHHHHHHH this was such a feel good game! Like life is and should be. Such a relaxing game to play!

  • @erikvanzanen I don't know what you're talking about. This game stole hours of my life in miserable frustration as a child.

  • Hang gliding was always the toughest for me. Wasn't there also some special helicopter based mission when you became an elite pilot?

  • @Karelwolfpup

Yeah, after you finished all training missions, u went on a combat rescue mission compete with rockets! (and then did training again, and went on the final rescue mission)

  • @Rambo556 I thought so, knew I wasn't just imagining that :D

  • Light Plane is awesome elevator jazz with a DnB break, lovin' it!

  • This really sounds like Transport Tycoon!

  • i fucking hated this game

  • @BlahArmy

boo, you just didn't have true gamer skillz to handle this game HAHAHA...ballz

  • Whoa...it's weird to hear the musics without the plane engines blaring and such.

  • Oh gooood, that logo and music. *explodes*

  • So...much...nostalgia...I might start crying....eeeh yup.

  • I only had this game because it's all they had during the initial launch, well this and F zero lol.

  • loved this game and so funny, I hear the music now and I think cheesy lounge music or great elevator tunes

  • Holy Shit!!!!! I remember this shit! My cousin owned this game and we would play for HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn, the SNES was so fucking good.

  • @zedrein18 no doubt

  • the last song in this vid is amazing! koji kondo writes the best tunes :D

  • i love whistling the rocket belt music :)

  • I can thank pilot wings for getting me into video games! So good!

  • i remember this game like it was yesterday

  • Pilotwings was one of the first games that came out when Super Nintendo were released. I miss this game!!!!

  • Still my #1 flight simulator. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

  • I adore this game. It was thhe predecessor to flight sim and games like it. The music is great. 5 stars. :)

  • I love this game a ton. It's awesome.

  • I remember I was blown away by the graphics when this first came out... I was used to donkey kong graphics on nintendo

  • I have the Super Famicom cartridge of this game ^_^

  • the main menu song is the best! I wanna make an 8-bit song out of this! :D

  • i was -1 years old when it came out....lol

  • I was -3 years old when this came out...XD

  • i was 1 year old when this came out=p

  • Love this stuff. Pure classic.

  • Hey Guys,

Thanks for the video views and most certainly the great comments here!

Part 2 on the way.....Schedule is packed!

  • @mitch121414 suuure...

  • All hail the great Koji Kondo.

  • only, it's soyo oka, not kondo :)

  • hmm, how do you know which composers wrote which tracks on the soundtrack?

  • she states on her jcaa page that (paraphrasing) "other than 3D Hot Rally, i was charged with all the music for each game". additionally, she's credited solely for the Pilotwings tracks on the "Nintendo Super Famicom Game Music" CD. it's highly likely Kondo was just a supervisor.

if nothing else, it sounds like her work :)

  • Both Soyo Oka and Koji Kondo worked on the soundtrack on this game.

  • they're both under "Sound Composer" in the game credits -- however, like I've already explained, if you check Soyo Oka's JCAA page, she states that she wrote all the music for every game she worked on with the exception of 3D Hot Rally. The Nintendo Super Famicom Game Music album only credits her for the Pilotwings tracks as well.

  • If all people were forced to listen to this while driving, there would be no road rage. Only sweet relaxation.

  • Dude, you are the freaking man for uploading this whole thing. It's perfect for ripping to MP3. Thanks.

  • i love da hang gliding song. da light plane theme sounds like a old snk fighting game like arts of fighting

  • The music made this awesome game.

  • i still play the real game. not some crappy emulator:(. emulators suck. i rather play this game then halo 3 and i am a 44 in halo 3:)

  • Good old times. This game were one of the first game that came when SNES were released for the first time. I miss my childhood. I grew up whit Super Nintendo.

  • the music sounds so much better without hearing the engine of a plane or rocketbelt noises.

  • damm man this game is hot jejeje i have and i still play this game in the emulators

  • holy shit this game ruled my world

  • i don't see why it wouldn't if you hooked a controller up to pc, but fair enough.

  • I wish I could play this game now..

  • me too Simon0 me too

  • dude you can. download zsnes from net, and then pilotwings rom from a descent rom site, ie rom world. and presto..! have fun

  • Guys,

Take this recommendation to heart. ZSNES is one of the best SNES emulators IMO.

It's how I recorded the music!

    Keep Breezy!

    -mitch121414

  • I used to love this game. The music was great :) I especially liked the way when you passed a mission the music was really upbeat and confidence-boosting, but when you failed it was really sad and demoralising...

  • OMG U POSTED THIS ON MY BIRTHDAY!! WTF? lol

  • hrm, I'm not sure I understand why the volume fluctuates like that. I get it on most/all of my videos too. Seems like the volume gets throttled according to how much sound there is at any point..

    but yeah... great OST.
