@bloggieguy Obviously it's legal, it's not an R4, you don't pirate games with this.

They're talking more about things like Homebrew or R4 than Action Replay. Action Replay "modifies" your game, and barely since it takes what's already in the game and gives it to you. Unauthorized modifications would be pirating or trying to do other things with the system that it isn't meant for. This was also made for the DS, not 3DS, I dunno if there's a 3DS one yet.

Does AR have to be plugged in at all times for any code to work? For example, I want to get AR so I can get a bunch of masterballs in soul silver. Once I do the cheat to get masterballs can I save the game and then take AR out of the DS or does it need to be in at all times for the code to work. Hope that isnt too confusing lol.

Can anyone help me? I just baought Pokemon Black and I added some codes to my AR for it and For whatever reason the game wont start up while its in the AR. Not even if i dont have any codes checked, and if i take it out of the AR it works fine. Do I just need to update the software or is there a bigger problem?

@exalight It could be 1 of 4 things:

1:Maybe you need to update the current software.

2:You could have a corrupted AR (This is possible trust me)

3:The game isnt fully clipping in

and 4: (which is highly unlikely) Pokemon got smart and blocked the AR (like I said they cant because they're dumbasses lol) Hope this helped
