  • one of the greatest technique holder sachin

  • 99.94 - The end

  • Comment removed

  • Forget the War and forget captaincy. Sachin is and will always be the better batsman! You are in a minority over this, even if your an Aussie you will still be in a minority. Far more people in this world love Sachin for the person he is not just what he has done. You cannot say this for any Aussies coz nobody likes them, not even ricky ponting!!

  • Bradman was 40 in his last innings... He had 8 of his prime years out of the game because of the 2nd world war

  • If Cricket is Religion , Sachin Is GOD !

  • @iiiiHunKiiii *Bradman, Sachin is merely an Indian's cricket god

  • Sachin is God of cricket. The best batsman ever.

  • Lara's final comment:everybody wanted to do everything to Australia and whoever did it we didn't mind.....LOL..!

  • 2 facts which makes Tendulkar the Greatest ever batsman to still play. He has played over 20 years. Plus he has carried the burden, expectation and extreme pressure everytime he has stepped foot on to the playing field. If there is another batsman that has done this then ill like to know. There will never be another player like Tendulkar, but bradman you will. Everybody just goes on and on and on about Bradman averaging 99. If Bradman played for over 20 years I Guarantee he would not average 99

  • @tanisha121 you can only make claim when u could support it with facts....who told you if bradman played for 20 years he wouldnt averaged 99? you have no proof of that...bradman is in a different league to tendulkar

  • @tanisha121 Bradman did play for twenty years, just less test matches because of a 10 year hiatus due to world war 2, now lets see Sachin not play international cricket for 10 years and come back and play as well as he has, and it was ten prime years age 28-38 that Bradman lost due to the war, and lets see Sachin try and take on the pressures of captaincy and play that well, oh wait, he tried to, and he failed, he couldn't handle that pressure, Bradman is simply the better batsman.

  • lets not discuss about Lara v/s Sachin...Both are great.

  • lara for me is more exciting to watch and better than sachin, wel we all like who we like

  • @MultiSazam : at sharjah, even INDIA wasnt the best team in the world, mate. AUstralia had SHANE WARNE... their all time GREATEST... how can you say the attack wasnt good?

  • @ajhawr but only shane warne they had...the others were virtually rubbish....check out the attack and come back and tell me if it wasnt rubbish

  • @MultiSazam damien fleming was a decent enough bowler... and australia still had the edge over india in the 1998, were a much much better side than india...and you said only shane they had, well same could be said for india "ONLY SACHIN THEY HAD" others were trash for real, mate.

  • @MultiSazam Lol jus looking at some of ure comments, you're just jealous of Sachin Tendulkar. Heres a thought, Lara's and Sachins test records are comparable, but Odi records, it doesn't even scratch sachins. Bradman was in a diff generation so don't even compare him to Sachin. Bradman got a duck in his last game, so he could of went on to a run of bad form. No?

  • @baldeepsingh lol pal you cant be serious...what the hell am going to jealous tendulkar for? a matter of fact i think he is such a nice human being...very humble and all that...what u trying to say?

  • @MultiSazam you are talking as if in the 90s india used to have an explosive start in the tests????? as if sachin has never ever faced the situation with india down 2 or 3 with just a few runs on the board? Sachin is the batsman who single handedly built every innings in those times, and even today the scenario is all the very same... SACHIN went out of form and the rest of he batting crumbled like a pack of cards... Mate, you gotta be a little reasonable when you say sachin cant face d new ball

  • @ajhawr dont be so furious mate, greats will always be greats, and sachin will always be sachin, let them bark coz they r nothing more than dogs.

  • @atrueindian1 right said, mate... i cannot believe that these people point fingers at SACHIN, the man who has carried the burden of 1 billion people for over 20 years(still counting)...

  • @ajhawr not 20 years, its 22 years and still counting, that makes sachin so special and much better than all the others but still i wont compare him with anyone, greats cannot be compared with anyone.

  • great video quality!

  • Sachin will always be a far better player then , Lara, bradman and pointing. Sachin has played for 20 years carrying the burden of millions if people. Has more one day and test runs has longevity and fitness. He is a perfectionist with the best technique. His records count more for the fact he has dominated both forms off the game. Lara and pointing and bradman are great. But Sachin is a Master!! There s a big difference! There will never be another player ever that can match Tendulkar, EVER!!!

  • @tanisha121 you cant put bradman in that category... he averaged 99 in an era were the next best was about 50, they didnt wear helmets, had rubbish gloves and thin pads, the bats were no were near as good as the ones modern era batsman uses... plus he averaged 99!!! (95 at first class after 234 matches with 117 centuries) they also played on uncovered pitches...tendulkar is a fabulous batsman but he is the second best of all time... after bradman... its wrrong to say he is far better than don

  • tundulkur is not even close to Lara ..Lara was aggressive as hell.. ang guess what guys Tundulkur never crossed 300..LOL..

  • @AquaaLeo hey AQUAAA... guess what..... LARA never crossed 200 in ODI.... and guess what.... nobody else has, other than sachin..... now talk about aggression...

  • @ajhawr guess the biggest what .. sachin never won a match for INDIA .. hows that for a fact ?

  • @AquaaLeo check the stats man... check the stats..... out of 48 ODI 100's 33 have come in a winning cause... and out of 51 test hundreds... 16 have come for the winning cause will most of the others went in draw and a few of them were in scored in a lost cause... dude... guess what... i know my favorite player better than you...

  • @AquaaLeo sharjah.... twin centuries.... 2008 england test where he scored unbeaten 103 in 4th innings, world cup 2003's almost every match, 2009 australian tour(VB ODI series finals), 2011 world cup quarter final, semi final....200* vs SA where he took the match away single-handedly...163* vs NZ in 2009 check the stats man... check the stats..... out of 48 ODI 100's 33 have come in a winning cause... and out of 51 test hundreds... ODI.... and many many more are there.......

  • @ajhawr at sharjah let me refresh your memory australia attack was rubbish and mcgrath wasnt around....and to set the record straight sachin only averaged 36 in both forms of the game against australia when mcgrath played that is dead straight facts....

  • @AquaaLeo just compare the strike rates of sachin and lara.both in tests and odis tendulkar's strike rate is way above so u cant say lara was more aggressive than sachin and as far as 300 is concerned tendulkar has a 200 in odis which i guess not even a single person in this world might have even dreamt of,so plz get real man and dont burn

  • @atrueindian1 Lara test strike rate: 60 Tendulkars test strike rate: 54, Lara's ODI strike rate: 79, Tenulka ODI strike rate: 86, Tendulkar was more agressive in ODI and Lara was more agressive in Tests. just thought i would clear that up.

  • @DyingSID666 Tests aren't about aggressiveness, its about luck, time and patience as well as concentration, tendulkar has all of them apart from luck. Lara only got 500 because he was lucky his team mates didn't get out quickly. no doubt both are good batsman but tendulkar has had the bes ODI careeer ever and Lara the best Test, even though tendulkar has more runs. (btw, for all you haters, IM INDAIN)

  • @AquaaLeo out of the 99 international centuries sachin has for india,60% resulted in wins,so now u say who won matches and who doesn't.

  • Sachin is a one day player.. lara is a classic elegant test player who does well in one-dayers as well. Lara wins obviously.

  • @XRaac yeah no wonder sachin has 51 centuries in tests as well.... too gr8 to be called a ODI player, eh?

  • Comment removed

  • sachin has beaten all the big records except lara's 400*

  • lara is better than sachin !

  • @krampz12 you don't wanna see all Indians disliking your comment and bury it down down down.BELIEVE ME MY FRIEND :D

  • @krampz12

That is your opinion go by facts and average. Sachin is better.

  • my 2 most fav batsmen in the world!

i had a dream 2 watch sachin nd lara play live on ground..

i had the privledge 2 watch sachin bt 2 watch lara was my dream nd it will remain a dream!

both r such a genius nd beyond genius man!

  • Respect for Brian Lara. But no one is like or better than Sachin.

  • Why are they asking a legend if Sachin is a better batsman? They should ask Tendulker about Brain Lara. That would make more sense.

  • dhoni = team man

    sachin = plays for himself

first we should be thankful to the player who wins us matches... not the one who plays for himself............ dhoni is better than sachin

  • @boss09sayAlo sachin's personal score adds to team total, that ultimately helps winning

  • Lara scored 400,375 and 9 200s in just 131 tests,Sachin played in 180 testa about 50 more than Lara but still couldn't achieve all this.Lara is way ahead

  • Lara says = Sachin is great batsman

Sachin says = Lara is great batsman

and the fact is both are legands.... :)

  • @vchaturvedi23 This. I hate people who just constantly try and compare great players like this and put them into ranks or something. They both have their own style of playing, but they're both equally great to watch and great representatives of cricket. I almost feel blessed in a way to have been able to see both of them bat in person and I admire both of them the same.

  • @vchaturvedi23 Legends and warriors that will be remembered for all time

  • Lara = Greatest clutch batsman of all time along with Viv Richards.

Sachin= Greatest career accomplishments of all time outside of Don Bradman.

  • Comparing Lara and Tendulkar is like comparing apples with oranges

  • Lara was probably the most stylish player ever to be born. Not even Tendulkar got that kind of swag with the bat. Fact.

  • lmao, lara in the future becoming forgotten? that's the biggest bullshit. no one has played with such flamboyance under the most craziest of pressuring situations....like, not making runs on easy wickets against easy teams....like...brian lara playing and continuing when its like 345-5 and he has to play with tailenders and still help WI end up in win in test.

  • lara is more attractive batter than sachin got better footwork scored an insane 400 got agr 500 is to me better than sachin and i like him more, sachins scored most of his runs on shit decks dust bombs/easy wickets. laras got more skill anyway

  • @ThePhil909 Here’s the figures in major Test playing nations OUTSIDE of the Subcontinent (Non "flat" tracks) for the 2 Greatest modern day batsmen . AUS SRT- 58.5 Lara -41.9 SA SRT - 46.4 Lara - 46.7 NZ SRT - 49.5 Lara - 36.9 ENG SRT - 62 Lara - 48.8
  • @alllman2000 laras better alround still and sachin hasnt scored 400 in 1 innings

  • @ThePhil909

After staring the facts in your face, i dont know how you can possibly say lara is more "allround"

lara is more flamboyant, tendulkar is certainly way more allround

lara has got his triples at No.3 (in fact most triples in history are from 1-3)..when he batted forever on the deadest smallest ground in the world. tendulkar had triples even as a schoolkid. in international cricket he bats at no4 , he has a couple of 240s NO,...if he was the capt. he could have batted forever.

  • @ThePhil909

theres loads of guys out there with triples. even sehwag has a couple of triples - at a MUCH faster rate than lara. but how come noone says sehwag is better than lara. takes more to make the greatest batsman than a couple of big scores in an entire career- surely even the most hardened lara fans would know that.

  • @alllman2000 there r people who r lara fans and people who r sachin fans for good reason they're both awsome i like him better thats all hes a more attractive or was batsman for me and better to watch. i end with this lara has video games after him(ala jonah lomu rugby), i dont see sachins ?

  • @ThePhil909 LARA has games named after him, but SACHIN is a GOD.... He also has a temple. Do come and worship the master's IDOL... hahaha

  • @ajhawr ok but i say thats over the top for a start, i mean if any1 should have a temple it should be Don Bradman not sachin, india needs to chillout about him and c bradmans statue he was the best ever/ then lara/ then sachin. but sachin was a excellent 6 hitter for a small man effortless /almost.

  • @ThePhil909 If Bradman should have a temple then he should have had it a long time ago, mate. And even Sir Don himself once said in an interview that Sachin's style of play pretty much resembles to his own style.... I guess the debate ends then and there about who is the absolute best... its Sachin of course....

  • @ajhawr oh boy u r delusional arnt you, sachins av is is nothing to bradmans at 99.9 so what th fuk r u on? hes regarded by all who no cricket as the best ever, of course i remember that interview when bradman said 'yes he looks a bit like me batting' or something but ur way off, get in the real world would you bradmans in a class of his own, sachins runs were scored on nothing pitches all setup for th batsman, bradman scored most his runs on total shit decks i could go on n on

  • @ThePhil909 hello mister,it really looks very odd when people try to compare sir bradman with sachin,i think there's no need 2 it at all.Don in his era was the best and sachin in his era is the best,if sir don has an avg of 99.9 then sachin has 99 international centuries to his name,he is playing cricket since 22 yrs and still going on and even today at the age of 38 each and every cricket lovers expect a century frm sachin each time he comes to bat,don was a legend of his time and sachin of his

  • @ThePhil909 u say sachin scores his runs in nothing pitches but if u analyze his career u will find out more than 50% of his 99 international centuries have come outside india and on even bouncy pitches like in england, australia and south africa.May be he is not a legend but thats true only in ur mind, coz the kind of reception he gets and that too not only in india but overseas as well,i doubt a single cricketer who gets that kind of a reception outside his home country.

  • @atrueindian1 well said mate... lets grill this PHIL of the FUTURE... haha

  • @ThePhil909 lots of cricketers will come and go,but u wont get another sachin back for years and years to come,so plz respect this legend and it doesn't matter frm whichever country u are.

  • @atrueindian1 oh oh no we mustn't not respect sachin, oh god no wonder indians are obsessed by him, yes hes like in the top three batters ever, wel done to him thats great! but don't say that sachins better than bradman cos thats just mental. id prefer lara over sachin anyday of the week n twice on sundays, but clealy even if i like lara etc.... these guys stil not a candle on bradman, av.99.9 or something. i mean get real man

  • @ThePhil909 did you go back in time to know that the pitches of that era were shit and today the pitches are dead??? seriously, let me ask you, are you high? Man, you are just nagging because bradman himself regarded SACHIN as someone like him. Had Sachin been into that era as Bradman's , he would have scored even more runs, you know why? Coz, he has a never dying hunger for runs, unlike his contemporaries. Its a comparison of ERAs man... every era has its pros and cons, ups and downs

  • @ajhawr Its been proven that the pitches were bad for batting back then, its been documented, they were uncovered and weather effected, which makes them good for bowling which is why you get bowlers like Sydney Barnes who took 189 test wickets at an astonishing bowling average of 16, that could never happen today because the pitch conditions have been evened out to suit the batsmen as-well

  • @alllman2000 quote all the stats you want but you seem to be forgetting sachin has had the luxury of having great players around him all through his career I.E azhar,laxman,dravid,ganguly...lara was always under more presure than sachin cuz sachin had a better supporting cast..cricket is a team sport and you cant win games all them time by yourself ..can anyone dispute messi as the best footballer at present? yet agentina is struggling againts sides less talented.

  • @warro35

YOu seem to be forgetting that through the '90s it was basically Tendulkar for India. Tendulkar gone,India gone. WEST INDIES was a far, far superior team to India in the '90s. The likes of Ganguly,Dravid,Lax etc only came into their own in the late '90s ,2000s. If India had Azhar etc..WI had Richardson,Cpaul,Hooper,Ambrose,Walsh....Take a quick look at the WIN_LOSS record through the '90s ESP "AWAY"...

  • @warro35

In the 2000s , yes India was the better team than the WI, but then Tendulkar was injured for most of the mid 2000s and again GUESS what??? Lara had his BEST stats EVER in a consecutive 4 or so yr period from 2003-07 when the WI team was at its WORST !!!

  • @alllman2000 i always feel like tendulkar has had the luxury of playing with some superb players but as we all can see now tendulkar cant carry india on his back like how lara did for west indies

  • @nevispages when did those superb players arrive? Sehwag in 2001, Gangulay, DRAVID and LAXMAN around 97.... Ganguly started off well around 99, dravid was just good in tests, and VVS struck gold in 2001.... till then it was SACHIN who took all the blows and let these men flourish and establish themselves. And you think he had the gr8 players to support him? Dude, a SACHIN-LESS INDIA is still regarded as a TEAM which can be defeated quite easily....

  • @alllman2000 1989-2000... lets compare... INDIA was possibly the worst team in the world. WI was a better side.... SACHIN was the the only player to score runs for INDIA all over the world.... and some ppl say those were the prime years of his career(to which i dont agree, I think his prime years are all the years he has played or would play for india) ...so , LARA had 2003-07 and sachin has 1989-2000.... Sachin wins by a big margin :D

  • @ThePhil909 dats d reason i told u 2 grow up kiddo,u tell me to get real but i would tell u 2 grow up,read my comments carefully and then reply, never in my comments i said sachin is better than bradman,i said that bradman was the best of his era and sachin is the best of his era and thats all i said, and even lara too is great but assholes like u will always bring a point to prove sachin is worse than the others, yes lots of people hate sachin and thats the reason he has 99 international centuries

  • @ThePhil909 out of d 99 international centuries sachin has, more dan 50% came outside india and out of dem almost 45% came in bouncy pitches as in australia, south africa, west indies, england and new zealand and i bet u cannot say dese pitches as shit decks and easy wickets and out of d 51 test centuries sachin has,12 of them came against australia which again proves that most of his centuries came against good teams having great bowling line ups,if u have no knowledge of cricket then plz get lost

  • @ThePhil909 lol u must be kidding,u mean 2 say lara has a score of 400 dats why he is better, plz be a bit realistic, sachin has a score of 200* in odis which may be no one can even think of breaking, sachin's test and odi avg both is much higher than dat of lara, again im not trying 2 say that sachin is better than lara, but i am just trying making u realize that its useless 2 compare greats with greats,if u show a record of one great then i will show u the record of another great,so just get a life

  • Comment removed

  • @atrueindian1 No i;m saying forget these guys and concentrate on bradman . ok cos u cant compare they arnt good enough, so the next person who avrages 99/100 i'll look at him to compare but there ant no1 to do that so get real man!!!

  • @ThePhil909 see dats why i told u 2 grow up,i said dis again and again that i never said sachin is better than bradman,i said that bradman was the best of his era and sachin is the best of his era,no doubt they are uncomparable, the thing which i figured about u is that how cocky a person u are,u tell me to get real but say these unrealistic facts that since lara has a score of 400 in tests thats why he is better than sachin, but bradman sure will be the best of all,now plz dont tell me 2 get real

  • @atrueindian1 and your true moron for even talking about sachin and bradman since bradman cant be beat u cocky little indian shitface

  • @ThePhil909 thats what expected frm u racist aussies,go have some kangaroo curry kiddo coz u dont have the status to get into any intellectual argument, even my little finger is more educated than ur tiny little dickhead.

  • @atrueindian1 i'm not a racist u moron but u r cos u just reflected it by what u just said, and im a kiwi, but get over yourself also cos its painfully obvious u know nothing about cricket

  • @ThePhil909 lol ur the one 2 say me u cocky indian shitface which shows who is really racist,u people r born 4 making racist comments and will die doing the same but we r not like u and as far as knowledge about cricket is concerned im ahead in that department as well,i feel pity on u when u make such comments about such a legend, the truth is u people r just jealous of what records the legend has so why dont u just fuck off and stfu.

  • hit of to you lara

  • and he came from a nation with more than 1 billion and everyone wanted to be a cricket player...and he was selected at 16...its not easy unless you are the greatest...even aussies know this,as even their don has said that sachin has the technique that is the closest to his...or resembles him almost precisely....

  • Brian Lara is for me an all time great. But when Sachin retires the majority of cricketing world will talk about him more than Lara. People will tell their grand children. Lara? Okay yes 400* is out of this world. But thats ALL he holds against Sachin. Everything else he is superior

  • @djmsup not true, yes Sachin holds all the records, but people would pay more money to watch Lara, he was more entertaining even though less consistent. Secondly, most cricket purist consider Lara to be the better test batsmen, he scored more runs in fewer games with a lot less not outs to boost his average, Lara also scored most of his runs under pressure with Windies down 2 for 10 or something. Sachin just played a lot more matches, and without a doubt was the superior one day batsmen.

  • @AllOurWisdom go to SYNDEY this year when SACHIN walks down under the SUN to bat and do not forget to have a look around the stadium only to find that the ppl who are cheering for him are not just indians, but a majority of aussies too..... thats SACHIN , my friend. PPL crave for him to play and watching him is the delight of a lifetime.....same is with LARA... i am not at all saying less ppl would turn up for him... but to say that more will come for LARA is so untrue..

  • @djmsup what sets sachin above lara is his technique and consistency.i bet sachin plays far better on green tops then lara did.Probably lara was more flamboyant then sachin and he never changed his playing style i.e attacking probably due to the fact that never hd great defence technique.

  • @intellectseeker sachin just had a few green tops in england...what happened up there? what set lara above sachin is the ability he had to carry a shit team on his shoulders...if you do some research you will find that lara scored 20% of west indies team runs while sachin has only scored 12% for india....the series in england truly proved to me sachin cannot survive without the other batsmen in the team doing well...he had a quality attack coming at him too.....

  • @MultiSazam haha it seems that you just presumes that sachin started to play somewhere in 2008 lol anyway sachin was truly out of form in england series comeon give this guy a break,he is in great form since 2008 and regularly scoring runs for india in home as well as abroad,he scored 2 centuries(4 match series) in australia against good bowling attack in 2008 and he scored 2 centuries (in 3 match series) against very good bowling attack (mind u seaming ,bouncing, swinging condition)of SA in 2010

  • @intellectseeker let me refresh your memory when it comes to australia...sachin was rubbish when mcgrath played....averaged just 36...he was even worst against donald and pollock, averaged 31, and why did it took sachin 16 more innings than lara to break his record? answer that....bradman technique was SHIT, nobody who plays a defensive shot with thier bat 2 feet infront the pad could have a good technique...

  • @MultiSazam lara scored 20% of runs for WI cos there was no one other then lara who could score those runs in windies team,if WI got out out for say 300 runs and lara scored 60 runs (20%),how does it make him greater then sachin?,why lara retired at age of 36,even great vivian richards was'nt able to perfrom after age of 35,Sachin is still playing at 38 years of age and scoring tons of runs.As far as playing on green top is concerned sir bradman compared sachin's technique to himself.

  • @MultiSazam just one fucking bad series and you regard him as bad as shit? really? aint that too much asking from a man who is only MORTAL like us? Sachin has come back from the graves of failure to rise back to the top of the epitome of success.... wait and watch fella... you gonna be the first one to talk about his super form once he gets there , YET AGAIN...

  • @ajhawr not just one bad series mate...i could of predict it was going to be a bad serious since england had a world class attack and sachin was not going to be walking to the crease with india on 150 for 2.....once he get exposed to the new ball early in the innings the road is always difficult for him

  • @djmsup, Lara holds more than that over Sachin, mate. He also holds the record of being the only man to regain the world record test score, most runs scored in a single over, the highest score ever recorded in any form of first-class cricket, more legendary match-winning innings than Tendulkar (judged by Wisden), most runs in a losing effort etc. Overall, if we include ODIs (where he's without doubt the all-time number 1), Sachin edges it. But in tests, Lara is greater than Sachin, for me.

  • I am a proud australia

  • @thekingdom72 Whereabouts are you from mate? Hope the floods are not too bad, such a shame! Hope things get better soon

  • And learn to spell his name u muppet! Its Tendulkar not Tandulkar. Just goes to show what you know. Peace out Lara fanboy.

  • Why the fuck are u bringing Bradman into this mate? This is about lara and Tendulkar! You clearly have no sense of cricket whatsoever. I'm not gonna waste my time anymore. The whole cricketing world knows that Brian Lara is one of the greatest batsman of all time but Tendulkar is that bit better. You can be part of the minority then, and cry about it if you want but the fact of the matter is that Tendulkar is better. Boo hoo, get over it.

  • @djmsup Consistency wise then of course he's better. Consistency is a huge factor but it isn't the only thing you should take into consideration....Lara has scored more massive scores against much harder opposition than tendulkar could.

  • @trinikagekavir Here’s the figures in major Test playing nations OUTSIDE of the Subcontinent (Non "flat" tracks) for the 2 Greatest modern day batsmen . AUS SRT- 58.5 Lara -41.9 SA SRT - 46.4 Lara - 46.7 NZ SRT - 49.5 Lara - 36.9 ENG SRT - 62 Lara - 48.8
  • @alllman2000 Massive.

Tendulkar doesn't have the stamina to stay in the middle score 200 and save his side.

Tendulkar=score 120s or so and get out.

Use 'stats' if you want. Lara is better IMO and he always will be.

  • @trinikagekavir

OK, so good you AGREE that Tendulkar is a much better allround player- in all conditions vs all bowlers in all formats tendulkar over lara any day.

BTW I suppose you know that Lara has more Double centuries than Tendulkar, but Tendulkar has more 150s?

SO, the part about the `20s is childish. Actually 170s would be better - he has got out some 6/7 times around that score.

  • @alllman2000 Tendulkar is boring. That's it.Compare a Tendulkar punch down the ground to a Lara cover drive.

  • @trinikagekavir

SUre, he may be boring ....to you.

But the unfortunate fact is Tendulkar is better.

    Bradman too was apparently boring.

But Bradman too is better than Lara.

    cheers

  • @alllman2000 Haha bro.

    Consistency does not equal greatness.

Look at Hashim Amla his ODI average is much better than Tendulkar, is he better? Of course not.

A player's greatness also refers to his ability to save a match, to take a game away from your opponent under pressure situations.

Tendulkar lacks stamina and is unable to singlehandedly win a game for his side. Tendulkar got lucky and was born into India, a side which didn't need him to win the game for them. Lara worked for each run!

  • @trinikagekavir yes. ur right in saying that consistency doesnt mean ur great. but ur comparison with sachin and amla is a poor choice because amla hasnt played alot of odis. for tendulkar to average 45 for 400 matches is spectacular. amla's average can fall just like pietersen when he starts playing on different pitches around the world

  • @trinikagekavir The sad fact is that Tendulkar is not boring, but YOU are.

  • @djmsup Also just the fact that people ask the question "who is better" proves that the whole cricketing world does not know and fully accept that tendulkar is a better batsman than Lara

  • @trinikagekavir He might have scored more massive runs, but still his record against Australia is not as impressive as Tendulkar. I didn't say the whole cricketing world accepts Sachin is better than Lara. Ofcourse everyone is has an opinion. You take any sport. Pele or Maradona? Messi or Ronaldo? Federer or Nadal? .I understand that everyone has an opinion. But don't you think Brian Lara not being in the Wisden All Time XI for both tests and ODIs is striking? And these are selected by experts.

  • @djmsup Yes because the experts always say that when picking all time XI they pick based on consistency so they don't pick players who can save matches(like Lara) because there is no need.

  • If u want to talk about records

52 tests, 80 innings, 10 not outs, 6996 runs, average 99.94, 29 hundreds 13 fifties now thats a record my friend. So work out how many tests tandulkar has playes mmmm doesnt really compare to this.

  • @thekingdom72 are you nuts?at those times, the pitch was made in a different way...and there were only a few nations like 3...so you can get used to playing against players...also there was no such thing like reverse swing, doosra, wrong one, googly etc...it was all introduced after about 1950s but the subcontinent players...go look at the class of bowlers in the 1910-1930...they all only have abt 100 wickets or max ard 200. now you have bowlers taking 800 wickets+ in tests...

  • Tendulkar is a team man. Yes Lara scored 400, bloody amazing it was too, but he played for himself. Did nothing to the team. They lost the series 4-0.

  • ...Tendulkar has a strike rate of 86.26 compared to Lara's 79.51.

Now lets talk about what you said..."Has tandulkar ever made scores of 501 not out,400 not out and 375 and 12 double centries...i dont think so."

Lets look into this matter shall we...Out of the 34 centuries Lara has made, only 8 of them have been in a winning cause for his side. This is less than 25%.

Tendulkar has scored 20 centuries in a winning cause. A greater proportion of his hundreds have been beneficial to the TEAM.

  • ....which shows he is more consistent and can maintain himself.

    Still not satisfied? ok...

In ODIs, Brian Lara has scored 10405 runs in 299 matches for his side, at an average of 40.48 with 19 centuries to his name. Impressive...yes, but compared to Sachin its nothing special.

Tendulkar has played 422 matches, scored 17598 runs, again having a much higher average than Lara, that too over a longer period of time...45.12. Has Lara scored a double century? nope. Sachin has 200* to his name.

  • @djmsup well...if lara played as many tests as tandulkar he would shit all over his record.I am not talking about team performances im talking about individual performances.I would love to see tandulkar score 375 in a test match and then 6 weeks later score 501 not out in county cricket.

But regardless of both tandulkar and lara put together all they have done is accumulate runs lets see how tandulkars average is at the end of his career 99.94 wont even come close to the best ever.

  • Respond to this video... If sir donald Bradman played as many tests as Tandulkar he would have (underestimating)25000 test runs 120 test centries need i say anymore. If u want to talk about records Lets compare apples with apples.

  • well can u answer me this then....Has tandulkar ever made scores of 501 not out,400 not out and 375 and 12 double centries. He doesnt have the concentration and the flare lara does.

  • @djmsup dont put yourself down like that.

  • @thekingdom72 lara is not head and shoulders above Tendulkar. Lara was absolutely immense, but Tendulkar is ahead of him.

  • @djmsup well can u answer me this then....Has tandulkar ever made scores of 501 not out,400 not out and 375 and 12 double centries...i dont think so.He doesnt have the concentration and the flare lara does.when tandulkar passed lara as the highest scorer of test runs he had playes over 20 more test matches than lara.

  • @thekingdom72 50 test centuries. Enough said.

  • @djmsup hahaha....great comeback,you wouldnt no shit from clay

  • @thekingdom72 Playing in Australia is arguably the toughest experience. Lara has played 19 tests in Australia, scoring 1469 runs at an average of 41.97 with 4 centuries, no fifties

Tendulkar has played 16 tests in Australia (3 fewer than Lara), yet scored 1522 runs (more than Lara) at an average of 58.53 (more than Lara), and has scored 6 centuries and 7 fifties.

Also Tendulkar has a career batting average of 56.94, which is higher than Lara. Note, Sachin has played more games than Lara....

  • Respond to this video... I do strongly acknowledge sachins longevity in the game and his great skill level.i do enjoy watching him bat. Both men have enormous respect and admiration for each other not only as cricketers but human beings as well.

  • with the greatest of respect to sachin tandulkar, brian lara is head and shoulders above him as a batsman.

  • Gentleman and a great great batsman.

  • I'm not Australian, but Aussie were the team to beat because they were the best. It's a sign of respect.
