  • too "

    straty"

  • can anyone tell me what a 2002 les paul 1960 classic reissue goes for ? i just picked one up recentley and wanted to know if i got a good deal.

  • Wow, I love your setting both guitar, amp and your playing. Nice warm les paul tone

  • Excellent - the finger picking really sweetens and fattens the sound with the amp set like that.

  • how does your les paul sound through the blues jr clean? i have a gibson les paul and a blues jr nos and its pretty muddy.. i always have to keep the treble on 12 and the mids and bass practically off.. Any help? Im considering getting a princeton or a vox ac15c1..

  • amazing tone and playing, do you like Peter Green?

  • Les Paul Classic = Awesome

    fantastic sustain. I play through a Fender Jr for smaller stuff - EXCELLENT

    for larger venues I play through a Twin Reverb. Yeah, Gibson Gtr with a Fender amp. great combo.

  • Hey All. I am really happy with my 2002 Les Paul Classic. I used to own and explorer and can swear that the Classic is heavier. I played a gig and played behind my head and almost dropped it! lol

  • wow !!

    Amazing sound :D

    How did you get that? (Bass, Middle...)

    I have a Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 :D

    Reo

  • @Reo303halo

    Amp (100% stock, no Upgrades) settings :

    Reverb' = 3

    Master = 3

    Middle = 6

    Bass = 8

    Treble = 10

    Volume = 8

    Fat switch OFF

  • thanks :D:D:D:D

    Reo

  • very nice is it a 2peace set or all one1

  • beautiful tone...was just in the shop playing the last model they'll ever have in stock...and the parent patrol think 3250 Aus Dollars is too much for a discontinued GIBSON LES PAUL!!! WTF!!! shattered

  • i would think discountinued would raise the price a bit because they are rare

  • oh dont worry i got it...hahah

    yeh thats what i meant bro. but its cool its mine

  • finally a video of a gibson les paul classic. I could barely find any videos. Thanks dude, and great axe.

  • dude im using a les paul classic 60s in all my videos except one if u wanted to check one out. they are great. better than any new standards in my opinion

  • BRO, I keep coming back just to listen to you jam because I have seen and heard so many people play and I am sick of hearing garbage.Your playing is smooth as butter and soothing to the ears. Play on my friend because you are so far ahead of the game. I have to admit that I think that shred guitar is a bastardized form of playing. What makes people equate all that speed with music that people want to buy much less listen to. Keep on jamming and posting your clips.

  • excuse me can you pls tell me why the gibson les paul classics are less expensive than the standards? what pick ups do the standards have? gr8 playin btw

  • Les Paul classic 1960 is more expensive than a Standard. And it also has much better sound.

  • I plan on buying a guitar like this!

  • I've got Les Paul Deluxe from 76 with mini humbuckers. I wonder if it would sound as good as your guitar if I had that amp. What do you think? Can you show me the link to the amps page?

  • Man you got a great sound going on!!!

    I got a Gibson LP and a Fender Junior too...

    Can tell me the settings of your amp?

    Thanks

  • Thanks for watching, the settings were in "the more infos" and we have :

    Reverb' = 3

    Master = 3

    Middle = 6

    Bass = 8

    Treble = 10

    Volume = 8

    Fat switch OFF

  • that touch of feedback after 30s is golden

  • Sweet as hell.

  • I have a question for you. I found a Les Paul Classic at a recently new music store in town. It looks pretty used, the gloss has kinda worn off, etc. But in the pickguard it has "1960" engraved on it with little remnants of what looks to be gold flake. Can you give me any ideas to whether it's a reissue or actual vintage?

  • Hi, the 1960 means that the pickguard comes from a Classic or just that the guitar is a Classic.

    My "1960" worn out very fast, a few months, same for Rythm and Treble.. those guitars age beautifully ;-)

  • its a reissue bro, i got a goldtop as well and this guitars kick ass, discontinued now, the best ones are 2006 and under cause after 2007 gibson chambered the bodys which makes them weight nothing, a heavy gibson is the best

  • The les paul classic isn't a reissue. It's just inspired by the 60s les paul which bascially means it's got the slimmer neck.

    The best ones are the early 90s when they first came out. Mine's a 2005 one-piece back honeyburst.

  • i love the feedback response it has

  • omfg how the fuck did u get this i rly wont one

  • Mojo? Is this a Mojotone Blues Junior cab?

  • The cab is the stock Fender, but that little amp had the MoJo even straight out the box.

  • sounds great, nice rig

  • HOLY SUSTAIN

  • I've hated modern gear for ever.. Im liking it a lot more now. Road worn series I tried were both cool. Maple and rose wood strats. I want gibson on the same page with that idea.

  • they have full maple lp's now...called Raw Power

  • my friend just bought one over the weekend and its pure sex

  • omfg!!!

    drool drool drool ...

  • anyway you can tab this....im close but cant figure it all out

  • I have the same guitar :D.

  • Hey man!!! I friggin LOOOOVEEE your tone!!

    If I go and buy the fender PRO Junior.. 15 watts, all tube, but doesnt have all the controls that the Blues Junior has, can I get the same tone as u?? I dont have pickups with ceramic magnets.. I have seymour duncan 59's (PAFs)

    Thanks Bud!!

    5 STARS!!

  • emg pickups on this guitar..good or bad?

  • I have no idea.

  • Depends on what sound you want. For this style of music, I wouldn't recommend them. They have a really "modern" sound, especially clean, so I would say yes if you play stuff like alternative or indie or metal.

  • sweet licks man!!! i just bought a 1999gibson les paul classic the other day.

  • whats your opinion on the original pickups on the les paul classic? the 496 and 500

    im saving up for a classic and i heard from some the are a hotter output then most of gibsons pickups and are good for a more modern type of music...then i heard from some that they are just shit haha

  • With that combo 496/500 you can play anything when you use the guitar controls (I did not on the clip).

    Depends of your taste, but they are not "just modern", they are hotter with more midrange.

    Now they're covered, I've replaced the magnets for some Alnico 4.. and put some NOS Sprague PIO caps!!

    they sound warmer, smoother with great definition and have less output (real low power HB) than the actual Traditionnal, Classic Antique (both '57 Classic) and Standard (BB Pro's) ;-)

  • Great tone.

  • how does distortion and overdrive sound on this?

  • Any kind of overdrive, distortion or booster work really good ;-)

    But turning the Master volume full the way up and achieve the right amount of gain by adjusting the Volume.. gives you a perfect break up with plenty of compression and harmonics ;)

  • I saw Les Paul play :D

  • good tone, you are a asset to youtube

  • Super son! Un morceau plus long serait bien cool. a+

  • I've got the same guitar as you;) Does yours have the 496T and 500T pickups? Sounds amazing!!

  • in that clip my Classic is "out of the box"

    with the stock Pups.

    I just set the guitar up (big improvment), Truss Rod, Action, Pups height(Gibson didn't make the job at all !!!!.

  • Yeah I had to get mine set up out of the box as well. Plays like butter now though!

  • pur de chez pur.... 40 sec de son fiévreux...un bonheur !

  • Merci pour le compliment.. vont arriver à me faire rougir !!

    ;-)

  • you said it's 100% original except for the covers? why did you choose to put the covers on and did you solder them together. Did it make a difference in the sound? either way, you sounded awesome,enjoyed your playing!

  • in this clip its 100% stock, no covers.

    covers are in the other clip, they 're Gibson Nickel and I soldered 'em like originals.

    Its sounds smoother, a bit less treble and Bass.

  • Sweet dude...I want more!!! Nice amp. Tell me about it?

  • Thanks so much,

    I will do more.. soon ;-)

    Very nice amp, full stock out of the box.

    Fender has definitely captured the Holy Tone Spirit with it.

    It has real Vintage Vibes, loud enough to play on stage and very easy to crank to give that warmth tubes sound.

    I used to tour with real vintage amps for more than 15 years in all kind of venues, and that little MOJO rocks for real.

  • heyaa!! where'd u get ur inspiration for the blues licks u played?

  • It was just a Blues Gimmick, nothing serious ;-)

    Blues is the magic of the moment.. and I like to let my guitar scream ;-)

  • fuck.... it sound like a CD

  • Thanks man.

    I did not even used a microphone, just the guitar in the amp via a very cheap cable ;-) recorded by my old cam.

  • Damn thats some good tone. Nice blues too.

  • woot thats my guitar too haha!!

  • Great guitar, it rules !!

  • What an amazing tone!great LesPaul.

  • WOOOOOW amazing tone ! that's great !yeah, you can sound like jimmy page ! I have a les paul classic plug into a marshall jcm 900, and on the bridge pickup i just esound like slash ^^

  • Thanks U all Guys ;-)

    I cannot crank it up in the appartment but trust me, on stage it rules and people are impressed by that LesPaul Classic and that little Mojo tweed amp.

    They were looking for some upgrades but, everything is 100% stock except the PU's covers ;-).

    I do appreciate those Vintage Vibes, and I guess it's gonna sound so much better with a Bassman Piggy Back cabinet loaded by Two G12M Greenback Celestion 25 watts.. my favorite for 20 years, incredible woody warmth tone.

  • if you can get your fingers to go a lot more faster and you have it in distortion you be just like jimmy page

  • kool man, i got that same exact one, its awesome

  • i have a les pual classic

  • Amazing tone ;-)

  • TONE!!!!!

  • thats exactly what i was gonna post

  • omg that tone is orgasmic

  • hey did you have your amp on the clean channel or overdrive channel? cause i really dig your tone, i have a fender hotrod deville 410 myself. any advice on how i can set it up to get a tone close to yours? cause im looking for that bluesy tone. i would appreciate it thanks!

  • Just check my infos in the "More" in the clip description..

    You have all the settings... but yes the Amp is in "Clean channel" with just a bit of Gain ;-) but still in clean..

  • i liked that way better then the other two vids i likedthis so much tht ill favorite it

  • Whoa.. Sick tone.

  • I love you! Your fingers are like magic!

  • i really love this sound.
