Stupid CDC. They do not even understand how problematic is this disease. Long term antibiotic is necessary for the treatment of lyme. They did not address the co-infections part.

Also, they call him the "discoverer" of Lyme disease.

And finally, they actually have a BAR GRAPH of Steere's publications per year from 1980, just to show how important he is.

@LorimaPhD Allen Steere is the rightful discoverer of Lyme disease in 1975. The spirochete was however first isolated by Willy Burgdorfer in 1982. I understand you may mean Lyme disease has always been with us before Allen was born, yes, but that didnt take away the fact that he named it.

I have Lyme disease I was on doxycycline for a month and I've been off it for 2 weeks now and on Friday came down with bells palsy and I can no longer move my eyelid, eye brow, mouth etc. We need to start doing more research for this disease!! It is starting too many other diseases to occur!!
