12-14-2011. Sake's alive, sake's alive, Joyce is 65. Happy Birthday, Joyce. I saw you all in March 1976 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. I remember that you had suffered an ankle injury, but being the person that you are, you still came out and you all put on a hell of a show. Thank you.
I watched the movie Now and Then and was instantly hooked on this song. It's brilliant. I'm a youngster, but 70's music makes our kind of music sound sickening. Can we go back to the 70's??
This is truly like a breath of fresh air after having to be stuck listening to a lot of today's sound ( noice - noice) .. & there are a lot of examples of these ( places like the gym) .But thanks to youtube I get to go down memory lane and dig the 70s...80s ...
Love this video! I'd like to have the outfits that "Dawn" is wearing! Classic! The 70's had some great music, but mostly good times! I'm 48 and I sure do miss those days!
Absolutely terrific song but how about those ladies "swaying"? They put you in the mood to sway along, they're so graceful. Tony is brilliant and incorporates all of the pathos of the 70's. Youth, love, fun and adventure, hope and optimism. Those were the days for America. I doubt they'll ever return to this scope. Nostalgia, yes. But a realistic look at 2011 makes one really, really miss those days. Gone forever!
@jimtheskim i love it when people give their personal connection to the music. In my case i was playing with the lego around 1969 and listening to my dads classical. Tho 60's and 70's music rules.
This gorgeous girl used to live above me, would come down to my apartment and give me the best blowjobs. That three knocks on the ceiling really works, of course I would have to pay $10.00 per knock!
Is it just me or has a lot of history been repeating it self? really the music was great!! no one really understand but todays music is really sucking... other than Trance/techno... and some punk... but you get the idea... my bus driver told me i remind her of how kids were back in the 70's. i wear a lot of Band t's and skinny jeans :D thumbs up if you dress like me :D
@DJHeroMist Dam! We got the same taste in music! I agree with you. This music has a lot of meaning and memories for those that lived in the original old buildings of the Bronx and Brooklyn NY whe we use to communicate with the other floors either by knocking on the sealing with the broom, stumping on the floor for daownstairs, or hitting the arsenic pipes with a spoon or butter knife. I'm glad I shared a piece of history to the young generation that never understood his song! Muchas Gracias!
@MrChristopher1213 lol. i have seen plenty of movies an heard plenty from my parents. They tell me all the time how different life was incomparison to now. i see a lot of difference. i just wish it was as easy as it was back then. but the fact that no one cares about the past mistakes that look what happens to now. yeah thats something. back then not having PC's and cells and all the gadgets we have today was a whole other world. it shows a BIG difference. people dont even have to leave home now
My aunt sent me to mallorca spain as a graduation present.. A whole class of students my age were in the hotel where I stayed. It was during a big soccer championship game (1982) and I could barely keep my eye on the ball.. Afterwards I was in my room taking a shower and heard the guys up the pipe per say from me.. I could swear that I knocked a few taps on the pipe to get their attention.. Ahh.. Louis you were my Tony Orlando.. and I was dancing alone in my room until I met you <3 Back in '82
He's pretty cute but do those 2 have to parade around like skanks with drenching wet underwear around him??? I bet he smells like a Cheese Factory and those 2 Hickey-Tits want to devour him like a Pizza. Whores!
Now this is music. This was my Mom oldest sister favorite song, i remember when this song came out, it was just before the Christmas holiday in the 70's and we partied hard off it.
I saw Tony Orlando and Dawn in March 1976 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. The show was delayed due to an ankle injury to Joyce. Her ankle was taped up and she was toted out and placed on a stool, where she remained for the entire concert. Despite this, it was still a good show.
Great song and the rug on his chest is something to treasure - but the broads look as though they would rather be knocking on someone else's ceiling. I reckon the only way to get them to move more would be to stick a battery up their clacker.....
@codycrimescene hell dude i am 20 and i grew up listening to this stuff and i still listen to it! 60's and the 70's have great love songs, the 80's have some but mostly punk rock. listen to Mandy by Barry Manilow, one of my favorite oldies :)

@jimbamboozled miss telma hopkins is her name. my first case of puppy love at 5 years old. she's 62 years old now, and still as beautiful as she was then!
I remember listening to a Spanish-language cover of this song, it brings back so many memories yet I'm just 18 years old right now. Sad thing is, it'll be next to impossible to find that version of the song...
Wholesome yet suggestive, and just plain FUN... great old tune. Reminds me of Afternoon Delight, which I LOVED when I was a kid and had no idea what it meant, or why my step mother hated it. lmao Btw, Tony was a pretty good lookin dude without that lip ferret he grew later on.
My Mom LOVED this song...I was maybe 11 years old, we had a juke box at the resort my parents owned, and she plugged in quarter after quarter....six songs for a quarter at that time, and she played this song over and over. Dang, I miss this song and I miss HER!
Don't think I'd get away with knocking anywhere in my house at the mo lol

The girl with the long hair played Aunt Rachel on "Family Matters." Just some useless trivia.
