My mom's fom Brazil and she taught me how to Samba. I learned it by wearing heels she told me it's easier, which it is considering I tried it in flats as well. I guess it depends on the person.

Bailer samba es muy divertido, tienes que aprender a encontrar el sabor de la musica, tienes que sentirlo. Eso son los ingredientes para poder bailarlo a como es.

I wonder, if this is supposed to be Axe Bahia style, why are they wearing stilletos and feathers in a first place. I samba and play in the bateria and I have no idea why people try to pass smth for smth it is not!!!!!!! The costumes were nice but the samba no pe wasn't!!!!!!!!!

@sdiopez83- actually they don't- the ideal body type in br is described as a corpo de violão- a guitar-shaped body... a big bunda is more valued than a big peito

My wife is Brazilian and she tells me the secret is the Stilettos. She reckons its harder to do it in flat shoes... I still cant work out the feet moves though????

@pocall2 -- Really? Thats actually interesting (I dont think id try it though to test thetheory... people might get worried if I started wearing stilettos) .. So you have a wife who can samba... Lucky!! (yeah and about the foot work... took me months of practice to get it right, and that was doin it everyday... lol)

@CerealKillahNZ Yeah, I had to take my wife's word for the stiletto theory as its not something I'd have a pop at.. I think also, they are born to dance and most seem to be able to do at least one of the national dances. They all seem to be born with these great strong thighs too which I'm sure helps maintain that speed for so long and believe me they can dance like that all night.. Mad or what?

u learn to samba in bare feet..the secret has nothing to do with the shoes at all. Babies samba and they are not wearing stilettos nor are the millions of Brazillians in the street and on the beaches. The secret is: Bouncing from the HIP while isolating the lower leg in opposite directions.
