I remember when I got sprayed... I spent hours in the hose and the fan trying to get past it... but the only thing that helps and remember for those who have yet to come.... rinse your face once... cuz it's oil based then hop in your car and let the a/c spray on your face.. I swear it's like instant relief...

First of all, do you even know what that means? Second of all, that spelling of it makes no sense whatsoever. Finally, you DO realize MP's get deployed into combat pretty often nowadays don't you?

@JasonRedfield- very true. almost ALL MP's deploy. some do rotations- they do their 12 month deployment, come back and do garrison LE duties, start training for deployment again, then do another 12 months. others go straight into Special Troops Battalions where all they do is train for deployment, then go on deployment, as attachments to infantry, etc.

Quick question - going into the Guard in this MOS, and I'm a current city law enforcement officer with OC certification.

Does that count? I would LOVE not to have to do that again haha.

Also- is there taser training in AIT? Does OC cert happen in AIT?

CS exposure sucks, I had to do this when I went to the Police Academy (Civilian Law Enforcement tho) and that shit HURT! We had to fight a guy holding a pad, and then draw our training weapon (instructors made sure we had open eyes and were getting a sight picture) and give verbals. Then we had to fight another man holding a pad, and then went to water. It sucked. There was a creek behind where we were doing it. I ended up taking a swim.

I would recommend it. I just graduated osut for MP's . I warn you though, make sure it's something you really want to do. We had alot of people who just couldnt handle it. And missourri really sucks ,I should add. But I already have a job offer in Santa monica Ca. They say I can get into SWAT if I wanted to pretty quickly. And I have an interview with the Sherrifs dept. Look into it, but think hard.

It's California, and yes, it is DOD doing the training. As most of you probably know, most DOD MP's are former USAMP's.

wow. well, it's a required training for all garrison MPs to go through when they get to their units. In order to promote that these MPs use non-lethal force, which means "pepper spray", they have to not only be trained on how to use it correctly, but also trained to continue performing their jobs even if they get sprayed by it. It may look like a bunch of "redneck dumbasses" to you, but I'm thankful for the men and women who endure such things to keep us safe!

When going through the police academy i did the same thing. I had to get sprayed then chase another recruit, handcuff him, and get him into the car. Im glad i went through the training, it lets you know what to expect when you spray someone who is fighting you. It seems like no matter how far away you are the spray always gets on both of you....nice vid by the way.

Hoah! It will be a life-changing experience! The USAMPS is 19+ week training opportunity like no other. We have the finest trained MPs in the world!
