  • i am 10 years old and i want to achieve the u.s army rangers

  • I remember they sent me to marching party one time, I did something wrong that day. they made up do 1,000 jumping jacks with our rifles, each time you had to push the rifle up over your head. Guys were dropping like crazy but I managed to do everyone of them.

  • @whiskeyify so waht

  • @socalpimp1974 so could you do it? those old rifles we had were maybe 5 or 6 pounds, and you had to push it up over your head each time.

  • I was on a flag ship and so we had inspections all the time..it was very strict but the travel is great. We also spent a lot of time off the coast of Vietnam doing gunfire support for the Marines.

The closest we ever got was 1 mile away, we got to see the war close up that day.

  • BS we never used any gym equipment that sh!t was for the RDC's did that change wtf. i hear the IT is weak sauce too now lol

  • @douchenozzlification Uh...I never said anything about the skill level of the pilots. I just said that the Navy has more planes. That is knowledge free for anyone with access to a computer to find out as well. Also, we don't just land on Carriers and Amphibs, we have a nice extensive list of air bases throughout the world.

  • @joei1382 that's cool. I was kinda taking your side for a minute there, but whatever. Haters will hate.

  • I dont remember this formal meeting by the CO. Fuck RTC, i remember those days in that cold hell hole. Lol. I had the worst division, and the worst RDC's. We got beat daily lol. But i guess only good part of bootcamp was the day I graduated and walked off that base. I also got accepted into the Navy Ceremonial guard.

  • Just signed my contract. November can't get here soon enough!

  • @zcm007attack Take it easy. Work out daily. Get your body ready for basic. Trust me, you'll want to.

  • @joei1382 for real??.. i really didnt know that i tho that the USAF have more planes than all the branches.. but what i have heard from my friend that is in the NAVY usually cadets get those kind of jobs, its hard for a seamen to be a pilot.. in the USAF however its kind of different because if a airman earn a 4 year degree with a GPA of more than 2.5 and some other stuff they can qualify to be a pilot but u have to earn the wings.. are you in the navy??

  • they tell you that you get to see the world. you probably will-- from the bottom of a ship. why do you think all of navy basic trng is indoors? to simulate the next 36-56 months of your life. I hope you like fluorescent light.

  • boot camp really needs to be revamped

  • I'm sixteen and in high school my girl wants to go to the navy and I want go to the us Army. This is wat my babe wants to do! Good luck boo!

  • No more dungarees huh? Wow, now I got some antique militaria! lol. I wish they would show a good ass chewin, or some IT. Somebody getting torn to shreds or something. We had some hard asses, but all these videos on Youtube make the RDCs sound like PE coaches. Bummer.

  • anyone going to bootcamp march 6?

  • AceHi808 me too!

  • march 29th im gone to great lakes

  • im leaving on feb 14!

  • @AceHi808 good luck i am leaving march 6

  • the moment of truth isnt that bad. You wont go to the brig if you dont disclose something you forgot you will live in fear though for a long time. Even if they find out something you wont end up in the bring. USMC Sgt

  • @schniggy69 *brig*

  • im on the delayed entry program for the marines, and im honestly not trying to look down on other branches when i say this, but the PT we do right now makes this PT look like a joke.

  • @ThomasTHEtrain11 My buddy is a DEP marine as well, he's constantly ripping on me for "how easy" I have it being a Navy DEP. So I believe you.

  • @GarNavyField haha yeah its pretty tough, but its do-able. ive gotta say thats probably the only time ive said something like that on youtube and not been trash talked for it haha.

  • They look more like a high school track and field team than military recruits.

  • Thanks for the Cool Recruit training video. Give's a liitle insight of what goes on in the training process. I did my training through OSUT 16wks with the Army. I like Navy things though. Might sign up. i'm a civeee now.

  • LOL AT 4:13!!! I'm almost scared now! xD

  • haha, navy boot camp is a joke, if you want to be in the navy atleast be a corpsman or a seal. that or join a real branch, Hooah

  • one of the few youtube videos i have ever seen where the anecdotes actually improve the video.

  • @JsonAre And for 20 years, I was part of the Navy that kept you from speaking Russian. Your welcome. Now shut your mouth before you make a bigger fool out of yourself.

  • wow this is soo easy i wish i had a boot fitter in the Army they just throw u some boots. Lol this is so funny Rangers lead the way 1st b 75th, so no one takes offense i got a friend whos a seal so i have respect and hes right this is so funny

  • I just got out the navy and boot camp is easy. being in the navy isnt all that great either depending where u go. your upper chain of command doesnt care about you but only themselves and as long as they look good they dont care how it gets that way....NAVY IS WEAK...USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN=SHIT

  • Weeeeaaaaakkkk!!!!!

  • I have respect for all branches of the military, but the mandatory scores for PT for girls and boys is just pathetic. This "boot camp" is a joke compared to army and marines basic training.

  • All I need to do is to get my license, boost my score, loose about 40lbs, and I will go.

(If the Navy or the other branches have a school available that I want) If not, then go to college.

  • Why in the world would they extract all wisdom teeth there?Having them removed will cause soreness and pain! How can you do extreme training with stitches and on painkillers?

  • I like how you admitted some mistakes of yours and said "Do as i say not as i do". Just a question how that machine in run know time you finish your run? Is there any machine attached to you?

  • Haha we women are. LUCKY we ger 14 mins to do running

  • If you have played football, from the beginning I can tell you atleast need to remember those two rules. You WILL be yelled at and to run always.

  • I am 14 and I've been looking up stuff from the Navy, and I think I might want to join! Say isn't this at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center

  • Hah, the annotations on this video are hilarious.

  • Do they ever go outside and actually train ha -__- Navy basic reminds me of playing in the gym in elementary school.... #Army

  • @atigers850 Training inside is good for the navy because in battle you mostly are in a submarine or on a ship. It's not good for the army because you're not mostly in a vehicle in real battle are you? (That was an actual question please answer >_>)

  • @Salien1999 In the Army they train outside and do physical training outside because thats where they usually are... Deployed over seas doing shit outside... not inside.. haha, you need to be more physically fit to be in the Army.

  • @atigers850 Wether you're outside or inside doesn't change how far you walk/run. You could have to run from end to end of that ship or submarine. Also, some missions are outside, but underwater, so I doubt you saw many sailors when you got to your objective. It's not really a competition now is it? They all protect the USA and in the end work together.

  • @MyCasualSlaughter Because they want to send you to the fleet prepared.

  • im 16 and this is my dream

  • gonna be a breeze

  • I didn't get my wisdom teeth pulled in boot camp, or during my time in the Navy. I still have them.

  • @Embosk2 im guessing your like 15

  • @jec23crm thats offensive to 15 year olds around the world

  • @Embosk2 The Marine Corps is part of the Navy you disrespectful child

  • Tight Khaki top...

  • I recently went through NAVY BOOTCAMP so if you have any questions about bootcamp I know them all >_< send a message if you want info

  • @ZTVProductions btw a lot of this stuff is outdated.

  • @KrakaJackKid The RDCs are a bit more polite in this video than I remember, but I don't see anything else inaccurate about it. I went through in 2004... there are a few new things depicted here (electronic shoe fitting-woohoo!) but the obsolete uniforms date this video a bit already.

  • This is disgusting. Why did they employ such a soft voice over person and soft actors. The reality is not like this at all, and its a good thing it isn't.

  • Glad I didn't join the navy. Be damned if I'll have someone pull my teeth that work fine.

  • @KrakaJackKid If your disgraced by this video, please feel free to write the CO of RTC and kindly instruct the CAPT to have his RTC's cuss a little more so your feelings dont get hurt. See how that works out for you.

  • I'm embarassed by this video, and I spent 22 years in the Navy, please remove it before I puke.

  • DUDES..ANYBODY NOTICE THE PENIS EXAMS ON THE VIDEO PARTS ON THE LEFT SIDE...EW!!!!!

  • WTF? I joined to avoid the draft in the early 70's (my draft number was 3 for those of you that remember) When we got off the bus we had a D.I. in our face asking if we were retarded or deaf...Where is the part where we got the 47 lb. ww2 m1 rifles to carry the next 11 weeks? What a bunch of pussies. We all spent 11 weeks with a Chief Petty Officer screaming at us from 3 inches away from our noses...and nut to butt was the saying of the day. but we arn't riding gunboats up the rivers any more

  • @tkfinley staged video bro this is propoganda trust me your navy is still there. This was made to make mom feel better while she goes to sleep at night.

  • @protectandserv haha when i was in training in 07 it was wayyy different than this.

  • This is pretty much how my army processing went at Fort Leonardwood Missouri (9 Months Ago). Only we looked a lot more miserable. haha its worth it trust me!

  • Im in the NJROTC (navy junior reserve officer training corp.) all of the standards they taught those recruits is taught in my ninth grade class

  • the only part that bothers me is the needle in the ass! wtf? i just passed my navy asvab too.

  • No wonder so many women join the navy! Its so fucking easy!

  • This looks wayyy too easy.... is the video lying? or was it tough for you sailors?

  • @gimlithepimp88 they reeeeeaaaaalllyyy watered it down for recruiting purposes, we got yelled at non stop lol

  • isnt it a full two miles now?

  • @SlimCokes yeah this master chief told us that a few days ago. I think it was all bullshit....I hope it was bullshit haha.

  • do you have to do this pussy shit before seals

  • Leaving for great lakes 20122401. I heard about this shot the give you on your ass and it's supposed to feel like there's a damn golfball in ur ass. What's up with that shit man?

  • @MegaJizzem I head out to great lakes a day before you do. I haven't heard anything about a shot like that I pray to god there isn't one.

  • us marines do all the work while the navy sits on their ass

  • @cdrsportspaintball

oh yeah seals sit on their ass. Thats the problem with marines they think they are the best but your not face it. Marines could not touch seals in anything

  • @TheWs6boy He didn't say shit about seals. Both Branches have SF, he's quite obviously talking about CONVENTIONAL forces.

  • Ummmm When i was in the navy we did wayyy different shit than this

  • :.........(((( maaaan i wish marines was like this to me noooot MARINES i remember i threw a gernade in a house in afghan blew them muda fuckas up hooorah

  • boring video. i fell asleep 30 min ago

  • @DrrkAngel15 It's fun! But, tell him he'll have absolutely no life once he classes up. Then all it is is study, study, study. : P

  • No one has yet to mention about the rain maker.

  • @jkb0688 After reading your post, it is no wonder America scores so low in education tests. The only people who are worried about China are people using scare tactics to drum up funding. Americas Navy is far superior to any warfare force on the planet. If your insinuating that because there is not much yelling in a (staged) video about BASIC training that we are going to lose a war then your leadership skills, understanding of what is going on in the video and your personality needs a revision.

  • @BootCamp4Me I didn't insinuate that at all. You did, Commodore. I do find it fascinating though, that out of all the insulting and vulgar posts I see about this video, this one drew you off station. Very telling indeed. You might want to reform on the Guide and maintain station.

  • @BootCamp4Me are you serious about all those comment in the video "....long needle stuck in ur ass cheek...." ?

  • @BootCamp4Me What happens if you fail on of the physical fitness tests? Can you redo it?

  • @BootCamp4Me hahahaha, PWNED! Thanks for shutting that shit head up.

  • @BootCamp4Me its assholes like him that make america look really dumb......and im american fuck yu!

  • @BootCamp4Me He's being sarcastic. He's saying China's Navy is shit.

  • WHY IS SHE IN AL KAKIS?

  • NAVY ..NAVY,.NAVY..NAVY..NAVY..NAVY..NAVY..!

  • you guys wanna hear a joke? navy boot camp HAHAHAHAHA

  • sheo fitting??? wow there goes tax dollars... Why can't they wait. Let me think. we need more time at the wall. how nice.

  • F boot camp....they make you stand at the wall for 4+ hours. not moveing. You can ask any doctory..NEVER LOCK YOUR LEGS. BAD FOR YOU BAD FOR YOUR CONTINUED SERVICE....REMEMBER THEY ARE ONLY AS SMART AS YOU LET THEM BE...BOTTOM LINE.

  • @minimattau It's "custom fit," with "custom" meaning "wear what we give you." After I was custom fit by that stupid machine, the shoes I got were two sizes too small. Wound up getting two ingrown toenails by the end of Basic. Good times.

  • im here in 2 days. im tired of the anxiety so im just wanting to get it over with.

  • I get earaches whenever I swim. I plan to be in the navy.... whats your advice???

  • @BootCamp4Me The Armed Forces of U.S. are all equal.

  • LOL when i went to make my phone call the phones werent working

  • @jdharden4141 just because we aren't on the front lines, it doesn't mean we aren't important. Navy and air force have some of the most brilliant minds creating, maintaining, and controlling the technology that saves soldiers lives everyday. Get over yourself.

  • honestly navy boot camp is a cake walk...all you have to do is keep your mouth shut and try to go unnoticed...besides, all you really do is fold clothes and make your rack

  • @jdharden4141 Stop lying to the folks lol. You must have forgotten MASH - Make a sailor hurt. Or the hours of marching on the grinder.... and the middle of the night wake up calls where you get MASH'd for no reason lol.

  • sucks ass :P

  • I leave next week for Basic Training...pretty excited but kind of nervous as well. Cant wait to serve my country!

  • @pntballer4life9426 I remember my boot camp days. You'll do fine. Just keep your mouth shut and do exactly what you are told to do. No more and no less. You'll do a lot of running and marching. Know your general orders before you even get on the plane to boot camp.

  • @minimattau your a fool my brother is in the army 19d and the fitted his shoes at bootcamp..what a jackass

  • @minimattau your a fool my brother is in the army 19d and the fitted his shoes at bootcamp..what a jackass

  • @tom2000136 5'4 and 6'7 is the army

  • @tom2000136 Please contact your local recruiter, these items change on a constant basis, they will be able to give you the most accurate data.

  • PS Beware USS Tranquility! : D If you can stick it out through P-Days it's smooth sailing!

  • Heyyyy I was just there a month ago. Too bad I'm stuck in nuke school now : ) Go Navy!

  • @Nickerson571

How are you going at Nuke school :)? My boyfriend leaves for Basic in January and then Nuke School after.

  • Is this for real???

  • I hear they have "stress cards" now..lmao wtf?? Can't take some verbal abuse ya best go back to momma! I will admit boon dockers screwed up my feet, but the VA pays me for that now anyway...

  • @koaheart There wasn't any stress cards when i went in and that was approximently 6 7 months ago

  • Each ship has their own fucking mess too!!! Holy shit.

  • " I dont understand Petty Officer" When was that added as an option?

  • Compared to the Marines, this is like summer camp.

  • Great Lakes 1996 very much the same.

  • @BootCamp4Me if by better you mean much more screaming and stress, followed by learning how to defeat the enemy instead of "standing a watch" navy basic training isnt nearly as high speed as army basic training and thats a fact.

  • i went in the 80's and yes i had a Marine Sergeant Major and a Chief as my Co's and for you who don't know the Marine's are a branch of the Navy so get a clue Marines are the ground force of the Navy. thats why the NAVY is the best we own the Sea's the Air and the Land.

  • @Nathansmith9603 off course

  • Man i know ihave been out for a long time. But my Basic was not this nice i was meet at 10:30 p.m. on the bus at Orlando FL. by Sergeant Major Phelps and Chief petty officer Night. And belive me they were up in your face screaming so i find this vedio hard to belive.

  • That is all bullshit! You always end up at boot at night. That way they steal sleep from you from day one. Its been done like that for years to wear you down.

  • Do you want to know what builds a strong, motivated team? The fear of getting your ass kicked by your peers if you keep screwing up. That and having a SEAL as your CC. The fear of continuous PT works every time! Please tell me this video isn't an accurate representation of recruit training these days.

  • one more thing i have almost perfect teeth except for one thing, i have one crooked tooth on the top of my teeth right next to my front right tooth....do the marines address the same issues the air force and navy do in terms of really taking care of physical disadvantages, i guess u could say.....one tooth!! one tooth!!! can u believe that!!!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT it looks so peacful and tranquil and not very physically demanding....well right now anyway......i think im joining the marines i love the physical demand it requires, and what the marines is about because of what they do.....no disrespect but every other branch of military besides army seems a lil sissified compared to the marines.....but every other branch of military is there for a reason.......

  • @IcePickSnowmanzzzz u know their different special ops for each branch

  • @IcePickSnowmanzzzz the Marine Corps is a Brotherhood every Marine is your Brother!

  • I guess this is the navy's official video. In real life there's more screaming and yelling going on I suspect. I went through in 1969 a long time ago. I thought our CO was being overly hard on us at times...but it was to prepare us for what was ahead. I ended up seeing a lot of action off the coast of vietnam. It was hard work 18--19 hours a day.

But I also remember all the good things like the travel.

  • Though you were supposed to do 70 push ups

  • So is this video real? or accurate? i thought boot camp would be sooo different... anybody whos been through it?

  • Comment removed

  • 4:05 <--- Still have my wisom teeth ;-)

  • @rxtony05 O.O didn't even think about that! Will they want you to not have your wisdom teeth? Anyone know the policy about going to the dentist before basic?

  • @lysjocksan You'll get all your dental work taken care of at basic. But i've heard of people having "perfect" teeth before joining, only to get to boot camp and have a few cavities. But there is no real policy. You'll get everything taken care of when you get to Great Lakes... dental, immunizations... the whole 9.

  • I wonder, did the Navy teach you any grammar and writing skills? Do you realize how many typos and missing words/grammatical errors are in this video? Attention to detail is also very important kiddies, take it from a Marine, a Marine who was apparently too smart for the Navy.

  • @jasoncarle the guy's spelling has nothing to do with the branch that he joined, he sucks at spelling because he sucked at school

  • Comment removed

  • Lunging in a huge line would make me crack up

  • @tom2000136 there is no max or min in height. being tall sucks on a ship tho

  • my company 166 in may 18th 1987 got hall of fame flag for graduation best company in 18 years of boot camp. we had a guy named TRUIT. a ship USS TRUIT was named after his father. i wonder were he is today?

  • anyone know what jobs there are in the navy so i can ALWAYS wear thoughs blue digital BDU's or whatever?

  • @Spazzosity They're called NWUs (Navy Working Uniforms) and there is no job that allows you to wear them at all times.

  • Voice over for this promo sounds very feminine and soft- not balsy!

  • I have a question, when they do a counter march. Do the guidons still lean the guidon on their belly on the dress whites? Won't that get the Guidon's dress white jumper dirty?

  • @BootCamp4Me I meant just give me the minimum height

  • @tom2000136 Minimum height for men is 5', 4'10'' for women. Maximum height for both is 6'8''. I believe this applies to all branches of the military.

  • @BootCamp4Me just civics mantua minimum height

  • whatever you do dont join as an ABE, Im currently on the USS NIMITZ right now and whether we are in dry dock or out to sea we stroke, out to sea were working 18 hours a day.....

  • LOL The RDC's are so nice infront of the camera.

  • BTW: If your RDC's decide to IT you (Intensive Training, mostly disciplinary) you will MOST LIKELY be doing 8 Counts.

  • airforce? or navy?
