@RcUniverseGuy If you have high output pickups like EMG 81 or DiMarzio D Activator-X I assume it'd be a pretty tight distortion. I don't got the stack yet, but I'm probably gonna get it by the end of the week. I got about $1000 to spend haha, but I don't like tubes and I'm gonna get this and an Ibanez TBX150H as a backup.

@LordOfThisWorld74 Nope. I don't like all the maintenence that comes with getting a tube amp. Tubes can be expensive to replace. I also just prefer the sound of solid states most of the time. The only tube amp I like is the ENGL Blackmore and the Peavey 5150. I hate Mesas, Marshall, etc, etc, etc.

@RcUniverseGuy Oh, it happens. The way I see it is that it's good if you that you find out what you DON'T like so you can get something that you DO like. What kind of pickups do you use anyways? That could be part of the problem.

@DeathMetalAngel123 its not terrible but im willing to bet my cable is half of the problem and the guitar i mostly use is an ibanez RG420EG stock ibanez v7 in the neck and v8 in the bridge.

@RcUniverseGuy Yeah, a good cable can make a world of difference sometimes. I'm not familiar with that guitar or those pickups, but you should try to throw some high output pickups in there and see how it sounds. :)

Yea he uses dunlop. The guitar store near me still has a stock of his old boomers. GHS makes a heavy gauge just like his sig dunlops now. These may be them. I dont remember

I got Zakk boomers on my Samick Artist and I had to adjust the bridge a lot because it was customized for different, thinner strings. But after the adjustments it was well worth it for the strings sounds. Nice playing though, very impressive especially with the harmonics. Sounds just like Zakk.

Well not to be difficult or anything but the strings dont really make you sound like zakk. They just give a uhh "thicker" tone i guess you could say because of the extra tension. Harmonics are easier because the string is HUGE.

Hi..I just wanted the ask how you do those extra,hyper, super zak's pinch harmonics..It's just because a wah pedal or what? Because my squels are killing my ears sometime :-D

Co I think that you have to do strong vibrato and use a wah pedal or something like that..But I don't have wah pedal so I can't eaven try it..just write me if you will have time :-)

ok... im not too sure about which "harmonic" your talking about.  but ill explain the 2 in this video.

The pinch's on the lower string. cant really explain it over youtube but look it up on here. The way you hold the pick is important because your thumb has to hit the string and partially stop the vibration. After that all you do is apply some crazy vibrato.

The ones like in the solo, well im not really sure if youd call em harmonics. You can do them w/othe wah but the wah makes it cool

Hey bro, nice cover man! Great tone and skill... 5*s Quick Q, I have a Zakk Wylde Les Paul and tune it mostly to C and Drop C. I am currently using GHS TNT's 10-52's and the Low E still feels wobbly.

What modifications (if any) did you have to have done to your guitar to accommodate these strings?

Hey, i didnt have to do any real modification. i loosend the truss rod because of the extra tension. they feel great in C standard and lower. standard is stiff but half a step isnt too bad. you will probally have to get used to em but once you do youll lve em.. sound great too cause the extra tension and spring back. oh yea GHS still make 60 gauges but their just called bomers. no zakk wylde. Dunlop has his sig 60's also so whatever you prefer

Well any amp gets some feedback unless you use a noise gate. what kind of pickups do you use? if you use single coils it will hum like crazy(same with ANY amp) This one isnt too bad but i play in an enclosed concrete space so i have problems haha and i have EMG's

ok those are REAL hard to explain. i tried to explain to my friend, he never got it haha. you do a pinch harmonic(kind of) on the B string( 15th fret here) and use yur wah to pronounce it. its real hard to explain man
