@WoWGorg voice actors, music and plot. plus this doesnt just happen like wallah! magical awesomeness. it takes a lot of work and a ton of time. like they said every single particle, every texture and shape has to be created. blizzard is amazing at making such realistic trailers because they have the people with the skill and they take the time required to make it look amazing instead of just throw things together :) i hope if they do make a movie they use the animator team that does these XD

and they said in the "behind the sceen" that a single frame was around 40Gb...so i would guess that a single frame had around 80-100 mill polys in it

@fodassenaosei they dont improve the graphics very fast or much because they want as many people to play it as possible, so as to make more money, and the monthly fee is there because of how much work they probably have to put into to not only keep the current game running but also to update things, make new content etc.

Nice, I think the program is houdini. houdini 11. I can not work with it. But its looks nice. Partikelsystem, physics and more. A easier program to lean 3D animations is Cinema 4D.

The cinematic is absolutely fantastic, but Deathwing should definitely have breathed deep fire at the end. It just ruins it when all you see is a glow. The fire effects in Wow (thinking Utgarde Keep) are pretty awesome, to not see that in the cinematic at the end is pretty disappointing, which is a shame because otherwise it's a perfect video.

@leatwix Deathwing needs a break. He cant breath fire at the end after all that fire he caused in the world of azeroth. But after that he went to the starting place and burned the human starting place. He is still continuing destroying in certain places, still yet firering as he heads to other places. If I were you, go farm deathing in a uncrowded place like herbing n' stuff until he appproaches if not continue going to other places until the sky is red. Earn the achievement [Stood In The Fire].

I remember when Wow used to be played by intelligent, fast-learning true gamers who enjoyed a challenge. Now it's played by silly little kids who only enjoy insulting each other. @briancollazo46 Maya/3DSMax for most of 3D work. Zbrush for 3D detailing and sculpting. Photoshop for textures ( Painter as well probably ). AfterFX for post production. Renderman for rendering. Matte painting was done by Photoshop/Painter.

...but Blizzard artists are free to use any software that's compatible with these mentioned above, so it's really hard to answer what programs they actually used for this cinematic.

Except their wings, Valakas and Antharas are pretty basic dragons... Nothing related to Deathiwing except the fact that they are big scaled creatures, the 1:28min definatly prove it.

In conjunction with Joshua Donen (also from Drag me to Hell) and Alex Gartner of The Bank Job and get smart. Chris Metzen gets Writing Credits-not surprised. Several other reputable directors and movie authorities will have a hand in the production.The compilation plus more on the movie can be found at the warcraft movie website
