  • This video is like the only thing I remember of my trip to Italy

  • Watching this just to remind me of a holiday this is a major part of a holiday

  • I wanna be a pilot for Air Canada when I grow up although I'm Australian....

  • this never gets old

  • whent on it to vancover saw safty video and i just relexed IT WAS SO FRAKING RELEXING

  • best safety video around

  • I hate this video

  • @bigbucks7777 Then why bother watch?

  • WTF are you talking about? Air Canada could f@#* up getting drunk at a brewery. They are masters of incompetence. What, are you guys senior management on a targeted web hit trying to improve the company's image? They are clowns in the 99th percentile. Idiots. And really, a slickly produced oxygen mask video can make you feel any different? God, the world's in serious trouble.

  • Air Canada is better than American Airlines THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE! :D

  • @TDOTWAVE agree i like the music in this video

  • @TDOTWAVE yes i like there music in the begging

  • I took Air Canada Narita to Toronto then back to Narita. The safety video is still the same :)

  • sooo soothing and relaxing! i love it :

  • I love air canada I flu on it to Orlando

    Florida

  • ;s

  • i took this airline to go to vancover to go on the disney cruise the saftey lestuel is cool

  • oh that video...

  • really? it sounds fine although it dosn't sound very qebecois.. mabey high class montreal accent?

  • That French sounds so forced

  • @zigzagcatzanddogz sounds perfectly fine to me

  • You got the original video? Or did you use super-high quality to record it from the En-route?

  • Hi everyone, I'm not a native english speaker...can anyone explain me what the girl says at 0:48 "if you have any ***** , please let one of us know" and how she calls the hand baggage at 0:52 " for your confort and safety ******* baggage must be stowed". Thanks in advance! :)

  • @LordRedFred She says "Concerns". It's meaning is similar to questions. The second thing she says is "lighter". Lighter is the opposite of heavier, such as a feather is lighter than a brick. Glad I could help! :D

  • @katyperryrocks789 dont know where your getting your statistics haha, westjet hasnt had a single fataility, Air Canada has, im a big fan of Air Canada, but dont make up statistics,

  • can someone loop the music at the start? it is such a catchy tune.

  • The safety video is better than there service

  • I see this woman does not like to show emotion.

  • The Hole point of the Video is that Air Canada have got a lot of Aircraft in there fleet they are E175, E190 a319, a320, a321 , a330, 767 , 777 This video takes a Feature from each aircraft from there fleet so it can relate to the Aircraft that you may be on ... It may be a money saving thing, But the video is very Professional like air canada and air canada also show this on there "Jazz Fleet " the Crj 500 and 705.

  • FAIL! It shows A319, but they show a 2-2 seating cofig, and a A319 is 3-3

  • @AFA318 Stupid WestJet employee... Go stick yourself in a hole.

  • @bigwhiteflakes Actually, I am an Air France employee. We are partering with Westjet. By the way, If Air Canada is so great, why are they striking. AF is not striking.

  • @AFA318 1) I love Air France (not SkyTeam however), 2) they're not striking anymore, and 3) Oh my god you will have bigger problems than strikes if you partner with WestJet.

  • This airline retired 26 aircraft, incl. A340-500.

  • This brings me so many good memories when I visited Canada for one month in 2007. I could get high there easily...

  • Air Canada has been around a lot longer than WestJet, 75 years to WJ's 15. AC hasn't had a fatal accident since 1983; 6 fatal accidents occured before then, and only one where the entire load was killed. WestJet still has lots of time. I've flown on various airlines, and feel the safest by far, with AC. Just clearing that up.

  • 3:18 a ghost plane in the middle..is it just me...

  • @fsxaircanada01 Oh yeah!! Creepy

  • boring to watch air canada

  • love the music!

  • This video was actually filmed at a studio in dowtown Toronto. Six rows of spare Embraer seats and overhead bins, as well as Boeing 767 spare sidewalls were provided by Air Canada. The remainder of the aircraft is CG. All the actors in the video are off duty flight attendants and their children.

  • @brendan279 Thanks for this bit of information! :) I always wondered how exactly they did this.

  • I have been on this aircraft (Toronto pearson airport - Barbados) even thought we had screens on the seats this safety video was not shown? :L

  • Why are you leving on the 13?

  • 4:15 The girl looked old enough to put on her own mask!

  • @cookingmamarules yeah!!

  • And then immediately after that..

*ding* "Hello, this is your captain speaking.."

    :)

  • Comment removed

  • fuck im leaven on the 13 omfg!!

  • Comment removed

  • how is it racist lol

  • Comment removed

  • AC still uses this.

  • I love the video. I think this is better than an airline I went on, the Skyservice safety video was a little bad, it has stick people in 3d

  • lol

  • I just love this video; one of the best besides Delta and LAN

  • +1 !!

  • So is the french here spoken in a quebec accent rather than a european one?

  • What is spoken here is Standard Canadian French, like you hear on news broadcasts (especially Radio Canada). Believe it or not, there is French spoken outside of Québec. Us Franco-Ontariens, Acadiens, and the rest of the French Canadian population are never recognised (haha...)

  • That man has a very discrete quebec accent, but since there are many accents in France, he's really easy to understand

  • I'ts so freakin' realxing....

  • one of best safety videos I've ever seen

  • @flightsim89 watch the new delta and tell me the same

  • @flightsim89 Certainly the most through.

  • oh my god...I cannot believe how many times I've seen this

  • How can they say "In the unlikley event of an emergency landing on water..."? How dothey know that when they take off, they wont have to make an emergency landing?

  • They're not saying it won't occur, but it's highly unlikely.

  • In my opinion, this is not just a safety video and an example of how every other airline safety video in the world should be made; this is a piece of art.

  • Great video

  • I like the new air canada blue livery

  • FLY - AIR CANADA - FLY

  • very clean video!

  • wow... amazing video! :)

    thank you!

  • I will never fly westjet ever again they, i only fly because they fly to some cities Air Canada doesn't fly to. It is a good thing that westjet flies mainly in North America. GO Air Canada!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • it is unlikely that canada's flag carrier airline will be bankrupt.and air canada is better than westjet

  • @spiderman7914 fuck that westjet is 50000000000 timnes better and westjet has never crashed one plane air canada has crashed like 10

  • @StupidParrotTV AIR CANADA IS THE BEST BOO WEST JET

  • @milkman981 i rly have 2 disagree on that 1. westjet has never crashed a single plane compared to air canada's 150+...mourne those poor people (50 000+)

  • @spiderman7914 yah sure westjet all the way

but Balls to you for speaking your mind lol

  • @spiderman7914 I disagree. Air Canada has filed for bankruptcy multiple times and is on a strike. Us Air France employees aren't on strike. Westjet isbetter. (I'm not saying that because they're joining Skyteam or anything)

  • @spiderman7914 One of the reasons because they have a user-mounted En-route entertainment system.

  • @spiderman7914 I highly disagree Air Canada has filed for bankruptcy multiple times. I find westjet's crew A LOT better but air canada's entertainment system very good.

  • LOL today i just randomly kept going through the tune in my head & i kept trying to think where it came from. Then I remembered so I had to watch it again (A)

  • i'm learning french but i'm still beginning,

i would like to know what the guy says at the end

merci de _nous?/vous?_ choisir air canada, votre securité est notre priorité, nous vous souhaitons un agreable vol.

quelqu'un qui m'aide à comprendre ce que ils dissent sur la vidéo.:)

  • he says Nous Vous the two of them it means we hope u have a good flight

  • Merci d'avoir choisi Air Canada, votre securité est notre priorité .... and i can't write the rest. I'm also learning French.

  • Merci d'avoir choisi Air Canada, votre securité est notre priorité. Nous vous souhaitons un agréable vol.

  • Merci d'avoir choisi Air Canada, votre securité est notre priorité, nous vous souhaitons un agréable vol (= we wish you a very pleasant flight)

  • But the woman says it in English anyway!

"Merci d'avoir choisi Air Canada, votre securité est notre pritité, nous vous souhaitons un agreable vol."

...means "Thank you for choosing Air Canada. Your safety is our priority. We wish you a pleasant flight."

  • usually which routes does A319 planes with the english and french versions of the video fly?

  • All of them - Canada is a bilingual English and French country.

  • How did you get this?

  • as reed said best safety video

  • Best safety video I have ever seen. Bar none.

  • yeah. this, and the vids on Delta and JAL.

  • I am not familiar with the JAL video because I have never flown with them. I have flown with Delta on flights with video safety demonstrations, but I honestly cannot remember what they were like. Thanks for pointing out those other videos, though. I will try to see if anyone has posted them here on YouTube.

  • Look for the new Delta video. that's the one i'm talking about. it should have at least 1,000,000 views

  • I actually have watched it. Thanks for referring me to it, though.

  • liked the idea of the kid at the begging throeing the Airplne, but other than that this video could use a little more spicing up like Deltas video.

  • Can anybody explain to me the differences between Quebec French and France/other varieties of French? Merci

  • Canadian french (quebec) is supposedly "old french". Canadian french speakers can understand france french, but people from france apparently have a hard time listening to us.

  • No, that's wrong !!

We both understand each other very well !

Nevertheless, Canadian franch speakers have a really strong (but lovely :-D ) accent...

Actually, Canadian use sometimes words we don't use anymore in France.

But we totally understand Canadian French speakers !

  • From my own experiences and experiences of my friends "totally understand" is really pushing it. I grew up in Canada, went to French school, moved to France and finished Master's in France. I am able to speak both French varieties and I am fully aware of the differences. People who have not been exposed to Canadian French usually find themselves "not understanding" it. So basically imagining yourself being an American trying to understand a person from...Shefield. Same langauge, big difference!

  • Yes, you're right, "totally understand" is maybe pushing it, but I was speaking about the safety demo, which is absolutely easy to understand... I've been a few times in French Canada and I didn't feel lost. Words are sometimes not the sames but I understood. Nevertheless, I had to accustom to the accent, which is -you're right- quite special. Then it's not so difficult to understand... but that's my own point of view ! I can immagine that some people don't share it.

    (-:

  • this video makes me feels good!

  • I just love airplanes, i wnat to be a pilot when imoolder i love flyingo on planes and im going on an a320 and a crj-200 tomorrow at 400 am

  • tt redhead is my friend :P

  • After flying with Canadian Airlines, WestJet, United, American Airlines, Royal Airlines and Canadian Forces passenger jets I would have to say Air Canada has the best safety videos and the most professional.

  • AC finally had private TV's?

  • Yay, flying AC on friday!

  • I didn't get to see the video on ANY of my flights. I was a shortstop direct route YYC-YOW-YYT. We were not supposed to leave the plane but due to electronic issues we could not continue using the aircraft. We got an AC Jetz plane in replacement, an A320. On the way back, on a YYT-YYZ-YYC route, the 1st leg we were on a 320 and it was live demo. the 2nd leg we had a 321 but the speakers weren't working for the demo. however they did work for announcements. hmm

  • Omg, i love air canada and their safety videos, the intire environment is so peacful and it gets you excited to fly, ulike delta airlines, american airlines and etc. air canada has a very excellent environment for flying.

  • I agree completely :)

  • Yeah it's so much better than when I went on AC in 2001 where it was so bad and there weren't private TVs and the cabins were so dim. Afterwards, I took Cathay pacific to get to Canada

  • yeah its very nice

  • lol 7boon

  • Love that french voice.

  • most of it is an embraer because they have the emraer has the video screen but the windows are 767

  • "In the unlikely event that we lose your luggage for no reason, don't worry. It's just a baggage."

  • LOLOLOL, so true

  • Hasnt it be shot on a 767? Look at the windows

  • if you check air canada's website you can find fleet information and seating charts. there you will see that only Air Canada's Airbus A330-300 and A340-300 aircraft have the 2-4-2 seating shown in this video.

  • Ok, let me clear this up for you from an employee who works onboard our aircraft in addition to knowing about how the safety video was created.

    Here are the facts:

    - JFKenji is right with that the side panels and windows are from a 767

    - The overhead bins are Embraer

    - Seating configuration (even though it's 2x4x2 standard for A330/A340) wasn't taken on an Airbus aircraft. This is just a mockup cabin.

    - The seats itself are Embraer seats.

Again I stress this is a mockup cabin.

  • merci

  • This video is great and i think the music is soothing and the starting scene of a boy playing with a toy aircraft would be a great symbol for videos for organisations that "foster an intrest in aviation". There also a video on here of this with the aircraft running. Hearing the engines start up add to the excitement of this video.

  • i literally got my tears watered when watching this video over and over again....

  • I love Air Canada safety videos. After the tension of the airport and waiting for the flight etc, I get settled in the seat and this starts, it's just perfect. It just relaxes me in to the flight

  • I know, I love em too! I don't like the acting demos, but love the vid's.

  • I saw this on a flight in 2006. Might wanna correct the title :)

  • How come safety vids from Star alliance members are so better?

  • very nice video so much better then most!

  • In my opinion I think it's a great safety video and I'm glad there taking safety seriously. I find humour in safety videos to be a little intrusive, and it would make me feel uncomfortable as a passenger, when there making fun of safety.

  • To be honest with you, I don't really like these safety videos. It's not very eye-catching like Delta, Virgin Atlantic/America

  • And if they want passengers to watch it has to be interesting and have a bit of humour.

  • its not a comedy show, it can mean life or death. They dont have to force it down your throat to watch, you as a passenger should want to watch it.

  • I understand what your saying but from my experience passengers are more likely to watch it if it's interesting not boring. I'm just glad Delta took note.

  • When did airlines stop using the floor emegergency lighting and change to emergency lighting on the side of the seats?

  • man air canada sucks!! really bad service!!! WestJet is the best around in Newfoundland.

  • nice video

  • is the aircraft a 767?

  • world class wel done air canada!!

  • wow amazing background graphics well done, air canada!

  • i prefer the air france safety vid.....

  • it sounds better when the man speaks english & the woman speaks french like in the last one

  • I agree!!

  • I think the English woman in this video has a hot voice.

  • I prefer the old one.

  • They are now using this video on almost all of it's main aircraft. I flew on an Embraer 190 from Vancouver to Calgary and saw it there. It was also the flight that they lost my baggage and still haven't done anything about it.

  • is that air canada 777?

  • NO!

inside it's a 763. the 763 is the only AC aircraft that has a 2-3-2 layout.

  • again, wrong. Although you are right that the 763 has a 2x3x2 configuration, the video has a 2x4x2 configuration, LOOK CAREFULLY. This will be apparent when the A330s go through the XM modification as it has the configuration of 2x4x2.

  • it could be either the A330 or A340 featured in this, but we all know it's not a A319

  • It was actually filmed inside an Embraer E175.. with a bit of CGI for the 'widebody' shots.

  • CGI makes perfect sense! I never thought of that... and wondered what aircraft it was... The config seems 2-4-2, which is only in the A330's...which were converted last... so it didn't make sense to me until now. Thanks!

  • is really nice video and nicely translation english and frence, i like this video.

    bye

c'est tres joli ce video et tres joli le traduction anglais et francais. je l'aime ce video.

    ciao

  • i wish when i sent text messages motion lines came out of my phone lol

  • i luv air canada

  • this was NOT filmed in an Airbus A319! you can tell because the A319s have a single-aisle seat layout, and this aircraft has a double-aisle layout!

  • It's a mock up cabin using ERJ seats

  • It is in a model of the 777.

  • 777 got 2-3-2 configuration seats, the vid shows a 2-4-2 config.

  • Geez.... I posted this a while back. The cabin is a 767 cabin, with Embraer seats. It's a mock up cabin AND NOT on the 777. The 777s have a seat layout of 3x3x3... not 2x4x2 like the Airbus 333 or 343.

  • @AirShark95 Air Canada has a 3-3-3 on the 777.
