  • I say damn good for by ear playing!! Robert Smith makes it look so easy. Thanks !!!

  • does anyone know of an "Open" cover????

  • Man that Bass VI tone.

My Hellcat VI comes close, but just doesn't have that warmth.

    Whod've thought a Bass VI, a CE2 and a DD3 could make that yummies.

  • Okay well there is no sense in denying your picking was shoddy in this video, but wow your tone is amazing! I can't squeeze a tone like that out of my les paul but i want it so bad.. good work

  • Please learn to play this properly.

  • fantastic sound!

  • How cool is that? He is just kicking back playing along to a Cure lp with his Fender Vl more over his tone is spot on .....thats pretty sweet says I :D

  • it's a fender guitar no fender bass

  • nice one.....but i think Robert Smith also altered the tuning a bit....the 3nd strings was tune down to E...

  • Great help dude!! Thanks!!

  • head dude

how much did the vi cost you ??

  • Nice guitar, playing is a little wooden.

  • what guitar is that??

  • @griveous7 its a bass. fender bass VI

  • Your covers have made me dig out Disintegration - thanks for that. Also, how much was your Bass VI? It's beautiful; I envy you!

  • I can understand that you can't stop playing all these great songs from Disintegration, one of the best albums ever. And you're doing a good job on it. :) Keep enjoying it!

  • Podrias decirme cuanto te costo tu Fender bass VI?

Muy buen cover, aunque si aceptas un pequeño consejo deberias de tocar pua abajo pua arriba

  • sei fuori tempo ciccio...

  • nice sound , keep going !

  • Very good!

  • jojoj te la rifaste perrin te quedo chida la version eres todo un master !! jejeje

  • Nice effort..... Almost believed it was true...

  • i like this guitar

  • que efecto usas y a que voolumen? porfa!!!

  • I kinda realised what i was gazing at disinterestedly straight away.

Does anyone else want to point out the obvious to me?

  • get to the point brat!!

  • Bass VI. Between a guitar and bass.

  • I is confused.

Thats a fender jag he's playing.

    Whats everyone on about? Bass?

    Are you guys nuts?

  • i am a fool and i am wrong.

    I know.......

  • google bass vi

  • It's a Bass VI

30 scale 6 string bass tuned EADGBE an octave down.

The Jaguar and Jazzmaster bodies a modified versions of the Bass VI body.

  • Nice Fender Bass VI, man! You just need to tweek down the delay effect a little.

  • The delay is set exactly where Robert Smiths is for this song live and on disc. He nailed the tone and settings, the notes, not so much.

  • nice !

  • do you need a 6 string bass to play this song? or can it be done and still sound good on a 4 string?

  • You need a 6 string bass, but it can also be played on a regular guitar

  • Yes, if you don't have a bass VI you can play this song with a normal guitar, I prefer to play this song with a Fender Stratocaster with an excellent effects like the Chorus and Delay...

    This song it's so wonderful...

  • not the same as a strat---

  • Uhhh...duhh

  • *points to the comment before his*

That's misleading, I think. People hear "six string bass" and think "bass with six strings" as opposed to "baritone guitar." If you were asking about playing the basslines, you can play the whole song on a 4-string and it'll sound just fine; if you do it with the right EQ and effects, it'll sound heavenly. It's a very easy song to play.

  • great cover and excellent tone! I wish I could afford a bass VI...wonder if there is an pedal that models the bass VI.

  • If you can't afford a Fender Bass VI, take a serious look at the Schecter Hellcat VI. You can get them for about $550.00 and they're ideal if you want to achieve those signature "Cure" and "New Order" tones. Add chorus and delay effects and you're set.

  • WELL

    i have a question

    i'm so confused

    this is guitar or bass

    or both...

  • both

  • Great job, buddy!

  • how do you getthat hella awesome sound from your amp

  • THE BEST

  • nice cover, nice sound, saludos (vinil?)suave

  • any chance of a demo of the guitar/bass i fancy getting hold of one but id like to see what its potential is with other genres

this is a really good cover btw

  • soo fucking awesome cover its very good idd :):)

  • Wow same guitar as me!

  • you need to pratice your right hand :)

  • Yeah, I never properly learned this one, I just kind of picked it up by ear.

  • @DJAerial dude you rock i have not put up one of my covers but i'm a real big cure fan

  • It's a chorus and a delay, no reverb.

  • to get that disintegration sound for this song, are you just putting the signal through a compressor and delay? or is there some reverb?
