Since George Lucas is tinkering with Star Wars again, James Cameron should go back to "Titanic" and add some new scenes. I suggest a new scene where upon seeing the iceberg, Murdoch says "Fire Torpedo!!!" and a crudely animated CGI torpedo shoots out of Titanic and blows the iceberg apart. Then Boba Fett should be seen standing on the bridge of Titanic staring at the audience for no apparent reason.

"Hard to starboard" is the order. But it must be a mistake. Because the steersman pulls the helm in the other direction (against the clockwise direction) and the ship drives port side and hits the iceberg with the right side.

@LotrFC After the iceberg is spotted, The order itself, "Hard a'starboard," was a holdover from earlier days when the tiller of a ship would be used to control the rudder. Pushing the tiller to the right (starboard) would cause the ship to turn to the left (port). So a turn to port was ordered by calling "hard a' starboard." Which means turning the wheel counter-clockwise (toward the left) would cause the rudder to turn left, resulting in a turn to port.

If you pull the rudder there must be something that conveys the "impulse" and this should be in the same direction. So if the rudder turns then in another direction, the direction must be changed. That would be unnecesary.

And some say it was 1912 the same way like today.

The sad thing abot the background image is that people would have been sitting down to dinner, talking laughing and joking, looking forward to living the American dream. unaware that in a matter of a few hours, the people they are joking with and the waiters that are serving them will be dead, the china they are drinking and eating out of will be no more, and the room they are dining in will be at the bottom of the atlantic ocean.
