It's the best action-pack VNmese movie ever made by VNmese. The fighting choreography is very Hong-Kong-like, even better. I think Charlie did a great job directing the movie. However, in terms of actors, I think we have very limited talent. Besides Justin, everyone tends to read their lines instead of acting them. Also, its best if the dialogues are in VNmese instead of English, because it can hide the actors inability to act.

my friend, singer is the best fit for acting, the ability perform on stage is the same perform in the movie, take a look at rain in Ninja assasin. the amount of energy dance equal to the move of kungfu. anyway, no matter how good u act ,u still need the right coach and the rite director, the job of director is realistic of a scence,Mr. rain never act ,but director can transform him into realistic.

well yes but I hear he didn't do so good in that movie. A directors job is to tell you what he needs you to do and not tell you how to do it. Though he can train more it there is no substitute for years of experience. The training he does through for dancing is alright but to fight he needs more. a fighting gets tired real quick because of getting hit and throwing punches and kicks. Though dancing practice helps it's not enough. But I agree with you that some people are good at a lot of things.

@dankaren95 I think he kinda cpyied off of Tony Jaa considering that he was in the protector with him. I know Vietnam is next to Thailand but he would have tried harder to make it not look like Muay Thai. Over yeah the movie could have been way better.

@CrimesonWitcher I dont think there is anywhere near enough time for him to have merely copied his skills from tony jaa, seeing as he was shooting the protecter only about two years before this was shot.

besides, tony jaa copied most of his stuff from old hong kong movies, y2k bilang / inet, and old puna films.

everyone copies and borrows from everyone else, and lots of people develop similar ideas in tandem.

its the application that counts.
