They could at least get the town names right when they did the commercial. The first place is Duntara and the second place is Red Cliff. Both of these communities are in Bonavista Bay.

I all ways go to NFL every summer. Because my mom and dad was born thir but I was on born on Toronto, ON. I don't like NFL no more because I don't see black people :(.. And the house's are the side of the hill I was like WTF and they dont have good radio's....

Mummering is something like getting in a costume but your wearing like winter clothing and wearing a pillow case or some sheet over your face and a bunch of random clothing and going into peoples houses and have a sing along and a few round of beers. ..me and a few friends of mine do it..Its a Newfoundland Christmas Tradition. Its wicked by!

I've been in every nook and cranny hunny, I lived here my whole life and I can honestly say that Newfoundland does not look like this. It's not as pretty! They just make the tourism videos look that way to make outsiders what to come and visit.

Every time I go there I get the chance to see some awe inspiring scenery and some incredible communities. I really think that Newfoundland is a beautiful province and it is nice to see that the commercials do it justice. You are lucky enough to live there so you take the beauty for granted. Once you move into a big city where the most exciting scenery you see is a bust up on the street corner or a bum peeing in the gutter, believe me you would have a greater appreciation.

but i remember so many times, sitting by then narrows watching the sunset, and listening to the waves.

i always love it.

or swimming in fresh lakes,

and everything is so quite.

@johncabott thats tough..ive had many disscusions with the people at work about the nfld..they want to beleive what they beleive and thats it..lol...there is no way to convince them otherwise....somone should do a documantary about whats really happening home these days..there are an awful lot of people who are experts on newfoundland but have never even been there....the economy is actually doing better than ontario..
