  • NOW I ONLY NEED TO COME OUT TO MY CONTACT PERSON SO I CAN GO TO STOCKHOLM PRIDE THIS YEAR WELL IF SHE REACT IN A GOOD WAY.

  • All hail the magic conch!!!

  • Wonderful video!

Really shows our true colors as gay parents.

In every way, shape and form, gays make better parents than heterosexual couples do.

I think in many ways, people are finally realizing that as a fact. I'm excited about where things will go in our community once the courts rule gay marriage legal nationwide! Thank you for this great video.

    Stay gay, be proud!

  • I don't make my bed a lot of the time so I would be arrested too much.

  • Jay looks so cool in uniform!

  • This is cool

  • How did you get access. i am planing to make a professional video edited with final cut pro and motion. do i need a special permit for that ?? gonna be there next month. please help me :). great video

  • Hey!! please!! i am planning to be there next month. i study films and editing and i wanna make a professional docu-video about the parade. is it possible to get more access like you did so i can be close and document sth decent. it is my dream to make a video about the parade and enlighten and show people that there's more love in SF. Thank you.

  • Wooot! Amazing video it gave me that warm fuzzy feeling inside... we have gone a long way =)

  • I like leaving lots of comments, especially for your family as you can tell lol

Just wanted to say Thank you Jay for being a great role model simply by being a police officer :] A one of a kind police officer :] and for having been in the army, that is incredible! so Thank you for being a hero! This looks like a lot of fun btw!

    <3 Eduardo =]

  • So awesome. Thank you for posting and sharing your love and openness with the world. The kids are absolutely adorable!

  • great video! i hope i can go to next year's!

  • can you request a 'straight' officer to pat you down like women criminals have to be patted down by other women? double standard? whos the asian skank who cant even speak english? how the hell did she become chief?!?!?! what a JOKE>

  • What a great day, p.s Bryan you're shirt was amazing.

  • I'd fuckin hate to be patted down by a queer. Why cant men demand a women pat them down

  • hmm its called a joke we actually do that in this family

  • Hello.I'm Maverick,i am originally from California.I currently live in the South, with my Boyfriend of 6 years,i Love him he's great. We live in Greenville,North Carolina. We both hate it here,he's from here and we both hate this conservative town.

  • Living in Greenville,North Carolina has been Hell.I'm a very flamboyant type of Gay male.I wear clothes thats from West Hollywood or the Castro District. The Gays here look at me funny, they act all funny towards me.Now,the straight people it's a different story, they are just ignorant and confused.

  • See,i live in a middle class neighborhood, across the street from our apartments is a snobby neighborhood, they call the police on me every time i walk throgh because i look "suspicious" the police even act all redneck here tell me i need to find another place to walk, that i bring it onto myself because i'm Flaunting.

  • They say i dress too Flamboyant for this area,of course someone is going to call the police.i wear big glasses,i have arched eye brows,i wear lipgloss and Diva clothes, the Gays around here hate when they see me.They think i need to Tone-It-Down,because i'm putting them on the spot with my Flamboyant ways,.

  • I try to be myself and people look at me weird, the Gays snicker and point, and roll their eyes.I really miss San Francisco,i used to get the same shit in Merced.Yeah, the police in Pitt County are really Dicks. They are very closed-minded and extremely Homophobic.Even the Gay officers act all funny here.

  • I really Loved your video,i miss the Castro,Haight,Market street and ocean beach, and not to mention Hippie Hill.Yeah, these Homosexuals in Pitt county,Greenville,N.C. are very rude. They aren't like the Queers in the Bay area.I cannot wait to move one day,San Francisco is our dreams. This town SUCKS!!!

  • Please reply it'll make me feel good.Let me know if you understand,Ok?Thanxx!!!

    PEACE-OUT!!!!

  • By the way,i'm a huge Madonna fan too, just got her new Cd,i mean DVD music collection called Celebration, from 1982-2009 music videos.Yeah, man,i Love your videos, your beautiful family and i appreciate wonderful people like yourself.you guy are fabulicious!!!

  • I really Love going to Amoeba up on Upper Haight street, the store has great CD's and old records.Wow! i really miss California, these people in the South don't have no sense of humor, maybe a few but not many.Their so uptight,closed-minded and afraid of change.anything thats different or looks different they shun away.

  • Yeah,My husband just went to work,he is a Roofer by trade. He works for his sister Lynns husband.Yeah,i am a house spouse,i'd LOVE to get into a fashion-school one day,but it sure doesn't exist here, shit, the salons don't even have any Gay guys,i can go into a salon here and vibes kick off in every direction.

  • See,North Carolina is considered the Bible-Belt,so many Gays here are afraid of being themselves, dressing flamboyant or even acting like they are Effeminate.Look, they don't even protest. They tell me,it's not all about that here. They aren't trying to get shot.I'm like,Fuck That!,Harvey Milk died for all of us,not for them to be scary as Hell.

  • Ive never been to a gay pride parade. I would so love to go to one... :)

  • Bryan-love the Star Wars shirt and those sunglasses are WAY too cool!!! Jay-U are smokin hottt in that uniform!!!!

    Thanks guys!

  • Awesome video. I'm glad you are willing to expose your kids to such a great event. It really is a moving experience to either march or even watch the parade.

Keep creating great videos that show that gay men can have loving families!!

  • I was gonna go to one in Austin but I missed it. =( .

  • The greatest parade in the world is São Paulo´s Jai! There are THREE ´N´ HALF MILLION people gathered in one afternoon at Avenida Paulista. I myself went there, three times!

But I must warn you: it is wild! Don´t bring your children.

  • Normally I would say that a Parade is dangerous to take a kid for they can be robbed, kidnapped, or in case of civil unrest, severely injured between the crash with public and police. However that seemed so civilized that was near to boredom, if I may say so....

Besides, who would mess with a officer´s family? hehehe

  • aww cute family

  • love, love, love to you and your beautiful family!

  • well I'm speechless...I sure feel proud watching you,and then they call homosexuality a perversion.

  • this video brought a tear to my eye. watching you and your family march with all the others, i felt proud to be an out, gay man. i just discovered your channel and i'm looking forward to catching up on all the vids. i thank you for taking the time to do this; to bring some very positive exposure to one of the aspects of our community - gay family life. as an activist, i think your channel is invaluable. as a gay man, i think you and your partner are hunks! and your kids are adorable too!

  • Thank you its very nice to have you as a friend on YouTube be sure to subscribe ;O)

  • How incredibly, beautifully NORMAL can you get? Families happily marching in a parade. Moms and dads, Dads and dads, Moms and moms, the whole shebang!Do you think you guys can be any more proud of your kids?!? And everybody knows, at least ONE kid is gonna crap out on you (like Daniel) and get a fun ride with whoever. This is just so wonderful. I've run out of words to express just how wonderful it is.

  • I enjoy your videos so much :D

Seeing your family march in SF gay pride is so amazing and inspiring :D

I think your family is wonderful. I'm really happy for you guys :D

    Sincerely, Robert : )

  • no sory we where marching so not a lot of recording the other marchers

  • Once again my heart is lifted with joy and pride when I watch your videos! God bless your family!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Cool video! I was at the parade on Sunday, but I didn't see you guys. I think I was standing on the other side from where you were marching. Anyhow, it looks like you had lots of fun! It was pretty hot (a little *too* hot for me) but other than that I had an awesome time.

  • Awesome video guys. Makes me so happy to see.

  • You should come up to Vancouver pride!!!

  • when is it?

  • you have got to be kidding you have no idea what it means to have kids. My son and my partner are not only father/son but best friends. As for your comment about the slow remark my hole family is always teasing each other its when we have the most fun.

  • Jay i believe its very brave for any service individual to be gay and in service, thanks for sharing this video. Bryan I love you Vader shirt! and thank you for sharing your family with ours.

  • I was at the parade and saw a boy waving from the back of a police car. My boyfriend and I thought it was hilarious. We didn't realize he was famous!

  • Dont tell him that!

  • Yah Bryan and Jay!!!!! Great parade! That's so awesome that you get to march with the kids! Far out! Blessings and Namaste'

  • thanx, you are such a sexy, charming and brave too coupel :) i cant stop watch your vids :)

    xxx

  • VERY COOL JAY!!!

  • My mother used to say that gays should not have children, until she found out about me. Now she has done a complete 180 on me, she still thinks, I believe that we should not but by watching your videos it shows that we can raise a normal healthy family.

  • That is so amazing. So much better than our little parade here. Lasted all of five minutes. I'll post the video eventually. But that is really awesome, to see so many people coming out to support Pride. Truly inspiring.

  • This was a fantastic video. I've loved them all but for some reason this one struck me as a lot of fun. Best wishes for a restful and loving vacation.

  • I LOVE YOU GUYS! OXOXOXO THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEOS! Please keep doing them!

  • Hey, guys- I saw you, too, after the parade turned off Market, walking not far behind Hennesey's car. You daughter was between the two of you and your son was maybe somewhere else. And of course everyone looked tired but happy by that point near the end of the route.

Of course, I could not remember your names, so was just yelling "depfox!" I know you couldn't hear, but please be aware you had fans and supporters out there. Thanks so much.

  • ;o) thanks

  • WOW I saw you all! I was they guy at the end of the route in the SAFETY Tshirt and the bullhorn running parade dispersal ! :)

    It was a great day!

    Dave

  • Hi Dave I think I remember you you gave us a nice compliment ;O)

  • Excellent! The kids loved it :) Have a great trip

  • This is awesome! thank you for letting us see a piece of the parade. Have a great time on the family vacation. I will miss you guys. See you when you get back. Love Danny

  • This is owesome. I feel much respect and admiration for law enforcement folks, those who sometimes have to do the hard and dirty work. I wouldn't dare to choose being a cop or something.

Thanks for sharing and Jay in uniform, you are HOT. :)=)

    reggards to the happy family.

  • Blush

  • This is so exsalent, I am so happy to see this one guys.

This is one of the best that I have seen yet from the outside the house, funny and charming to the last I LOVED IT.

    Signed Jedi Dave. 5* A+

Have fun guys on Vacation. <3

  • great video! thanks for sharing!

steve and i went to the houston pride festival... had a great time :o)

  • great video guys! swansea had their gay pride yesterday wish i had of stayed in Wales long enough to see it! hopefully il be at the belfast parade either this year or next XD

  • You are an invaluable asset not only to your local gay community, but nationally as well. I was always critical of the SF gay pride parade being represented too much by dykes on bikes and leather queens. Your presence shows we are cops, doctors, teachers with families like everyone else. An awesome video.

  • Id say the parade is 75% boring parts like us :O)

  • all of you looked so gallant marching in your uniforms even when you had a cute little monkey on your shoulders LOL you guys have a great vacation !

  • Wow, I wish I could have been there too!

  • This was an AWESOME video! First...OMG, I had kinda forgotten how hot uniforms are! Looking fabu Jay! Second....to see all of you....your beautiful family representing what life could and should be made me kinda tear up. it, unfortunately, is not like that here. It made me rethink what I am doing.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • :o) thank you for the very nice words

  • I live here in SF and love that you shared your video here on youtube!

  • I just came back from the NYC parade. This was the first year I went, and I had a great time.

  • i saw you in the parade today!!! i called out your names a couple of times but you didn't hear me - it was good to at least see you.

  • I thought i heard our names...but the crowd was soooo loud it was hard to know if it was for real or my imagination...lol...wish we could agiven you a hug of something.

    Bryan

  • Oh wow.. this is AWESOME!! I'm straight and I would have joined the fun if I was in SF. =)

Your kids are awesome. They are going to grow up knowing all about equality. You are amazing parents.

    Great footage!!

  • NOOOO!!!! I missed you guys :( I drove to San Francisco just for the parade and i missed it! I didn;t get to see you guys at the after party either, i never knew you were going to be in the parade itself, man im bummed lol.. I will make it to DC though and i hope we get to meet up and march together :) Have a great SAFE trip and have a lot of fun! Thanks guys

  • for sure i was thinking we should all get together and have a dinner for all us YouTube peeps.

  • That sounds great! We should seriously do that. I'm Very excited now hehe :) Keep me posted as always , thanks again.

  • I really, really, really wish that I could have gone to the one where I live... I missed it =(

Im so going next year though! =)

  • Ha. I love Brian's Darth Vader shirt.

  • My city had theirs a few months ago We've only been having gay pride parades for about 3 years now and it's mostly just people with banners and whistles(No floats) so we don't exactly draw much of a crowd. But even so, it's nice to be able to get out and just scream our freedom, without fear of reprisal. My friend was out of the closet for a while, but he never was comfortable talking about being gay. When we got to marching he just ekpt shouting "I love boys!" It was a long time comming for him

  • Looks like y'all had a gay old time! :D I DID NOT mean that as an insult by the way.

  • Hey I am almost 40 and am ok with geting older so none taken :O)

  • You guys rock. I wish my part of California was as progressive.

  • where? your parts are the ones we need to get our message to.

  • I lived in Redding for a few years in the 80's. Talk about not progressive :(

    Bryan

  • So Awesome!! I saw you guys there today! I was near the end when Daniel was in the car, so neat to see you all live and in person. I was cheering for you!

  • wish I had none would have gotten a pic

  • i did not see you( i did see the transport van you guys were riding in) me and my bf were yelling like crazy( we love men in uniform) and we both respect cops a lot...glad you guys had a fun family time..

  • clap clap whoot whoot

  • That's awesome guys!

Looked like lots of fun! =)

  • such a HUGE change from 1969.

I love SF, and I love you're family!

This made me smile so much.

Thank you so much for posting this!

  • That's cool, I didn't know you were a cop.

  • We just finished our gay Pride also in Dublin in Ireland yesterday! It was amazing not as big as yours though obviously but it was scorching here too! :D We only had one protester which was some stupid old Catholic man with a sign like how pathetic! lol most people were so supportive, cheered us on and enjoyed the day! :D

  • I love pride parades. they are tons of fun and Not only do we get to see and be with each other as gay folk, but the rest of the world gets to see us too...and thats really the point in my opinion.

  • Yeah I agree. Actually here in Ireland the government published a Civil Partnership Bill the day before and there is anger over it because it features nothing about children's rights! There are many children of gay parents here just like the way you have two beautiful children and two loving fathers! :) You have to be married to jointly adopt a child here! Gay Pride is relatively new here, homosexuality was only decriminalised in Ireland in 1993! :/ In saying that the support was amazing!!!

  • thats so awesome...i already have plans for going next year....thank you so much for sharing

  • Hi Guys.

Thanks very much (again!!) for sharing with us all. I found the parade very interesting. I've never been to one. Thanks very much for sharing, very much appreciate it.

    Paul.

  • WOW that was alot of gay cops :-) I missed the parades this year. There are two that go on kinda close to me. Hopefully next year I can go to one of them. They look like so much fun.

I love watching your videos. there awesome.

  • I love that you guys not only had your kids with you but I feel so lucky that I was able to watch this since I have never been to one and I almost feel like I was right there with you...well I was in spirit! Thanks a lot for this you guys!

  • Awsome Chris. Thats exactly what we hoped for in making this video. Going to a parade is kinda a gay initiation but being in one is a whole other thing entirely. We wanted people to feel like they were there too.

  • Very nice guys, and I just came from the New York city pride parade and it was great. Enjoy your trip.

  • cool vid, awesome darth vader t-shirt. :)

  • wow I wish I could make it to a prad on of these days

  • come to ours next year

  • can not drive I have sizures and i'm not able to have a driver lissence and I live in PA

  • great video, i was there 2day at s.f pride and saw the transport van and all the cops( great work you guys do) you were wise to not go to the after party( over 1 million people there they say) anyway another great video jay and Bryan..

  • did you see us and if you did you should have yelled really loud ;O)

  • Wow. The police have certainly come a long way since 1969.

In the 1969 Stonewall Riot the cops were beating up gay people just because they existed.

In 2009 gay cops commemorate the 40th anniversary of that event by joining the parade with their husbands and kids!

  • What a great comment im going to steal it ;o)

  • That must be an incredible experience. Maybe a bit chaotic for me haha.

  • Awesome! I went to the New York Pride Parade today and had lots of fun. :3

  • Nothing better then a good parade
