  • after iran is invaded this music shall fit nicely when china and russia and america go to war.. start saving those bottle caps.

  • where can i find the lyrics in french translation plz ?

  • F̣͍̫̣̏ͤ̏ͯ̾̔͊͂̀́a̹͕̦̙̍͛̍͌̇ͬ̒̕͡l̨ͦ̅ͨ͏̞̮̳l̰͉͓͉̗͖͂̅̋ͧ͂ͭ́o̲̣̥̳̩̝̥̬̓ͮu̪̲̻ͫ̉̃̎̔͒̂̒t̶̡̥͕̲̮̥̰͔̄͊͗̐̾̈́͛ͣ̕ ̨̢̯̻̦͇͊3̷̛͉̘̟͙̞̥ͫͤ̂̎̈́ͮ̔̓̚

  • fallout brout me here to i love this soung

  • This can't be Obama singing, because his destabilization of the Mideasr is leading to just that.

  • fallout 3 brought me here.

  • Now don't get me wrong, I love this song. It's a beautiful look back but idealism shouldn't blind you to reality. The reality is no time period is perfect. Not the 50s or the 40s or any decade of the 20th century. If you value something from the past like chivalry then do your best to keep it alive in how you act but we all need to make the best out of our own time and realize that the sky isn't falling. Things aren't nearly as bad now as they were in the past and humanity has come a long way.

  • Look nostalgia is nice but every era has its problems. People think this time is more messed up and crazy than it's ever been? Go back to the 70s and you had the gas crisis and Iranian hostage situation. Go back to the 60s and you had a time when women and racial minorities were struggling just to be equal. Go back to the 50s and you're in the grip of McCarthyism where people were terrified of atomic war with the USSR, and in the 1940s besides WWII it was still acceptable to lynch black people.

  • I'm 22, still I want this era to come back. Just so that I can live it.

  • 1:39 sounds like chef from south park

  • Fallout number 1 game...

  • Thumbs up if Megadeth got you here

  • @norito09

no, shut the fuck up gothic emo!

  • This is real music...

  • YAY FALLOUT 3 FOR INTRODUCING ME TO MUSIC THAT WAS REALLY....MUSIC!!!!

  • @holockau5t i agree :D

  • Yes, the legendary fallout 3 brought me here, which i still occasionally play, but when I hear this song, it relaxes me, and makes me feel goood... and it makes me want to trek through the d.c ruins in fallout 3 :D

  • This song reminds me of fallout 3. By far the most fun and memorable game I have ever played. Largly due to the songs and me and my best friend always talking about it. He died last year. These songs always remind me of the happy times.

  • I dont want to set the world on fire...

  • epc.buffalo.edu/authors/bernstein/books/girly-man/fire-sheet-music.html

  • obviously Iraqnid2088 is not looking at the race thing, but you are.

  • The white guy looks like he has sneaked into the picture and isn't meant to be there haha

  • Damn, I always thought the song wasn't a legit creation of the retro period lol. Damn.... Can't wait for Bethesda to create a new fallout series.....

  • Fallout 3 had better music than New Vegas. MUCH better. This song made the game so much more epic. I hope this song survives nuclear apocalypse!

  • whats the name of the white guy on the picture?

  • i love this kind of music and i am 23years old, i listen to all kind of music. But this were the best singers, no computer and other high tech to change his voice or anything

  • If there ever is a nuclear holocaust, I just hope this song plays on the radio

  • i love this :')

  • back then wouldn't being black basically make it impossible for you to become a singer? or be considered lower class and cannot mix to be friends with whites? no offence intended tho, 1 of my mates is black.

  • @11haythem black musicians were actually KIND OF respected back then, considering there was more black bands than white bands in the 1930's ...just like how there was Jewish musicians in Nazi Germany...They were respected because they made good music. nothing more, nothing less.

  • @11haythem They erased lines and made people forget about the color of skin when the listeners realized these singers were making songs that defined how people (white & black) felt about certain things. I wasn't alive back then but I'd figure it was hard for black people to gain success but they were too good to be held down, which is great cause if not for them we probably would've never had most musicians/artists we love today if they hadn't given the music industry life.

  • I got here from the Chanel commercial.

  • I love this era. Sure, fallout brought me here, but I was captivated the moment I heard the song on the radio. :D makes my heart swell and brings a tear to my eye. Back in the day when everything was easy and perfect... it was about courting a girl, not hitting it and quitting it.. Back when cars were cars and not engine powered plastic airbag launchers.. idk. Good times. :')

  • @Iraqnid2088

    I AGREE!

  • @Iraqnid2088 ...and don't forget, that this man's perfect pitch is due to talent, not enhanced software in the studio. This era was filled with brilliant voices and great talent.

  • @Iraqnid2088 well it was hitting in another way for many men in that time

  • @Iraqnid2088 Back when BLACK PEOPLE WERE OPRESSED. You fucking RACIST!!!!

  • @ShepardCollective chill the fuck out dude, you don`t need to focus on all the shit going on, we got enought of that in the time we live in....

  • @s18331833 yeah you WOULD say chill, why are you opressing eskimos for? FUCKING RACIST FUCK!!!!! DAMN

  • @ShepardCollective haha okay okay i get you...

  • @Iraqnid2088

some of the most violent killings and rapings of women happened in the 1950s

  • @4D3pr3ss3d Can't beat the 13th century though.

  • @Iraqnid2088 "engine powered plastic airbag launchers". May I quote you on that? That line just blew my mind. : )

  • @Iraqnid2088 Well said

  • @Iraqnid2088 Yeah, everything was perfect in 1941. Let's go back to WWII.

  • @czarmonger or 2077

  • @czarmonger geez think a bit more positive... yeah there was WWII the was WWI before that as well there are wars now going about, but believe me people were more alive than now and exactly the wars and all that led people into creating such beautiful songs... because troughout the music they tried to keep their spirits unlike nowadays where there is no major war and people just get agressive with music creating all that emocore, black metal, death metal. music is more agressive nowadays

  • @Iraqnid2088 i like this comment every time i watch this video.

  • @Iraqnid2088 I wish the world was like that. It sounds so peaceful.

  • @Iraqnid2088 i hate to tell you... there never was perfection and there never will be, it'll only get worse and worse untill humans end ourselves and the planet entirely, the best time of the planet, was one before humans existed, when things were peaceful.

  • @TEHORANGEAVENGER well I mean dinosaurs also ate the hell out of eachother <.< and then those fast ones that ate the other dinosaurs' eggs are also pretty mean and hurtful D: I agree, there will never be "peace", but at the same time I believe this era was one where the American Dream was something everyone wanted, and it wasn't about celebrities and war and all this propaganda crap going on today. It was about the prosperity of the family and trying to earn an honest living. Legit living. :)

  • @Iraqnid2088 laws were titer than a leash, racism was so thick if you were the whitest man in the world and got a bit of soot on yourself you'd be catagorized as a lower class citizen and all that is concidered abuse now was dicipline, and what was abuse then is now murder

  • >well-known song by one of the most seminal groups in the history of American popular music

    >virtually every comment is about Fallout 3 or the Fallout series at large

  • because one is not enough and two is too low its Three Dog!!!!!!!

  • Tanner sent me. In other words, it wasn't Fallout. Who else?!

  • Who here almost fell asleep listening to this song.

  • @SuperGamingGeeks Yes, in a good way.

  • @SuperGamingGeeks

no you are just retarded and don't know good music if it fucked you in the ears...go listen to justeen beiber.

  • @mussleandclams Wow. You are so witty, mussleboundhams! The next time I need a retort, I'll certainly seek your advice prior to any comeback attempt. I never would have thought of telling someone they should have sexual intercourse with music - OMG, your past experiences must have led you to believe that others share your exotic erotic preferences - only with goats.

  • @nineseas That was maybe the DUMBEST come back ever, and I love how you posted one of them, then deleted it and posted this..LAWLS.

  • @mussleandclams Actually, I'm surprised you could read it. Some of the words had more than 2 syllables.

  • @nineseas you're cool

  • @SuperGamingGeeks I feel asleep.

  • three dog and dave mustaine sent me here

  • Margaret sent me...because I killed Three Dog.

  • Fallout 3 Forever FUCK FALLOUT NEW VEGAS

  • @ghostface660 I actually really like NV. O_o I of course love FO3, but they tie in my book. But, to each his own.

  • If one isn't enough, and two is too low.. Its me Three dog Bow wow!

  • I first heard this song when I was 7 years old watching the movie Wilder Napalm. I'm now 25. I never forgot about it. Strange how great songs stick with you.

  • Free Dog sent me here to pick this song up for him... so can i have the down load for my Pipboy 3000 please!!!

  • @Hardstyler247 dude it 3 Dog :)

  • Fallout 3 is awesome

  • lol was looking for this cause of logorama and fallout

  • Fall Out!! I was just listening to music and then this one came in between it... and the first thing i had to think on is Fall Out xD

  • Fallout and Logorama :D

  • anyone know what other songs have like a similar sound to this or other bands?

  • @Leonsprice Lol

  • FALLOUT fuck yeah!

  • What a silly and unnecessary comment left by privateryn14... I wonder if the 14 in the monicker refers to the age or IQ of privateryn....probably the IQ....Fantastic song by the way, beautiful lyrics.

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT

  • Who knew that a video game about a nuclear apocalypse would get a 13 year old to listening to old music? ;-)

  • @metznimbo29 I was going to tell you that you're not old enough to play an M rated game.

Then I thought, "nobody should miss out on Fallout."

  • This was on the radio as I used a flamethrower in Fallout 3.

  • Makes Fallout a lot more enjoyable.

  • Who cares if I came he from Fallout? At least I love the song!

  • FALLOUTTTT!!!! :P

  • megadeth ,

  • Fallout3 music?!

  • Fallout!

  • Happy 2012...

Don't forget to rent your very own vault.

    -From Vault Tec

  • @WeepingGuitar99 I wish this was true.

  • I am watching this while slaying Alduin in Skyrim. Bethesda, you rule!

  • if you look at the picture it looks like they are moving its kinda wierd.

  • Hey am I the only one who thinks the Ink Spots is a funny name? It's a joke about how, amongst a sea of white singers, they look like, well, ink spots.

  • @CheddarTheKnight That's not the joke. Back then there were a lot of African-American entertainers and music artists, probably more than white Americans. This group consists of one white guy and three black guys. The black guys are the ink spots on the white guys' surface.

  • @0mega7000 and then today we have rap and thug life

    black people what happened???

  • @tHeWasTeDYouTh cultural marxism happened :/

  • @0mega7000 The "white" dude is actually mixed

there was never any whites dudes in this group

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable All African-Americans are mixed for one.

  • @0mega7000 No , there are plenty that arent mixed

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable Those aren't African-American then.

  • Wonderful. The Fallout games are great for three reasons: the opening speech by Ron Perlman, the gameplay and of course the Ink Spots.

  • First song of the year.

Happy 2012's fallout apocalise for you guys :D

  • like this if you think the third guy from the top locks like lando calrissian

  • fallout?

  • i heard it first in a funny cartoon made intirely out of company logos (ronald mcdonald goes on a shooting spre) search "logorama" on google if you want to watch it.... CHECK IT OUT!!!

  • this, my good sirs, is music.

  • @vladdimor true words thus spake of love.

  • Who else was brought here by "Not my Destiny" on FiMFiction?

  • :):) FAV

  • Fallout if one of the best games ever. It teaches ppl what music was in 1950ies :) they would never listen to that unless its in the game :D

  • @TheMancarCamoran Fucking dumb ass, this song isn't even from the 50's, nor does it even sound like it is. Fuck Fuck Fuck you. Anyone who found this song from fallout, can shove fallout up there asses.

  • @Dancingforblood Get off your high horse, twatmuffin.

  • @Dancingforblood It is a shame that songs like this have been overlaped by the poor modern music scene but I cant see why you're mad - you just got more listeners to tune in with you to this soulful jam. Dont forget that fallout put this song back on the map again. we should be celebrating this glorious blow to this crappy music age!

  • @Dancingforblood I remember this song for an old film or something, but fallout brought it back to my mind, what difference does it make, the music is being appreciated because its fucking good, would u rather it was forgotten. Dont be a snob about music, its everyones to share and enjoy regardless of where they hear it:-)

  • @Dancingforblood Rly sorry for my stupidness... I mean, I'm just a kid who couldn't hear this music unless it was in the game... Again, sorry :)

  • @TheMancarCamoran

this is not from the 50s

the inks spots were from the 30s - 40s

when we get to the 50s thats rock n roll with elvis

    and thats very different

i'm just paraphrasing the other guys comment in a nicer way :)

and he's mad cuz you're crediting this classic to a modern video game, and some people don't like that

    so watch out :)

  • @thrilllex

And what's wrong with that? A great video game referred him to a great song. Fact is no one here can claim he was born around the time this music was around, very few on Youtube can. So such elitist behaviour comes without grounds as we all share a distinct trait, we found this music decades after it came out.

  • @idan111

i didn't say there were anything wrong with that

it was someone else saying that

and i was saying watch out from spawning a flame war

  • Thumbs up if you are only here because of the apocalypse.

  • Fallout brought me here. But who cares? I can't deny good music.

  • i didn't want to set the world on fire, then i took an arrow in the knee.

  • I first heard this song while watching the movie "Wilder Napalm." It has stuck with me ever since.

  • 3 dog sent me here.

  • @CorruptEnd OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

  • i had no idea music this old was so cute :D someone i like very much showed this to me :3

  • I wish i was alive back when, even if there was a war

  • Simpsons ! :D

  • I thank Fallout 3 for getting into 1950s music

  • @ZhugeLiang988 actually 40s music, because this song was recorded 1941.

  • I honestly think this song is just the perfect song for Fallout. I feel like it totally sets the story, mood and how the city and society is. Thank you, Bethesda, for showing me a good ass game and a great ass song.

  • @moviemakergc Goddammit, I agree with you so much. Great game. Great song. 'Nuff said.

  • War...War never changes.

  • @xXMorrisXx54 thats true. It becomes more violent.

  • @Trepix7 2278.. i play the game lot

  • I thank FO3 for bringing me here and showing me a group of artists who's music still transcends time and always sound good. No matter what generation.

  • @BoBtheparrot7 it was used for falloout 1 as well

  • @BoBtheparrot7 it was used for fallout 1 as well

  • @bitdroid Nope, it was supposed to be used for fallout 1. But they changed it to the Maybe song because of some copyright stuff or something.

  • i love this song and i herd it on a video game lol

  • @pooplukeman we all did.

  • I like the song is certainly not the beginning of the song fallout 3?

  • @Dante7970 School. That is what you need.

  • some men just want to watch the world burn...

  • what a beautiful tune!

  • badasss song(:

  • seth macfarlane as the guy there

  • That gentle, steady crackling in the background, that slightly muffled, warm tone of the song, that rich, deep bass of his voice.

    Perfect

  • @Mark971070 intro for a porno?

  • @Mark971070 hard to replicate that music too. It's just how it was made back then.

  • The Ink Spots brought me here guys.

  • The arsenal of Megadeth can't be rid...

  • Some people want to see the world burn. The ink spots dont.

  • I've never said this before, but just to spice things up a bit; Treehouse of Horror XVII brought me here.

  • @jours1 the only halloween special simpsons ive really liked

  • Love....Love never changes.

  • thanks to fallout i found this cool old music (:

  • 2:27 these harmonies are possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.

  • Is the second guy down white, or is it just me?

  • @VampirusRain Yeah that dude's white, it is not just you. Google is your friend.

  • @VampirusRain yeah i guess that's why they're called the ink spots. The white guy is the paper and the black guys are the ink. LOL.

  • @NicooooRey Hey-oh!

  • MEGADETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
