My sister was quite taken aback when she first witnessed this behaviour, and she soon called me so I could go see for myself. He had shown some pretty smart imitative behaviours in the past, such as making himself a "spoon" out of one of his plastic toys, handling it and eating out of it as we do with our utensils, but never anything this extensive...
this is priceless ! and that's just what we parronts need, more help !!!! LOL we no longer need our health-club memberships, we bend and pick up after our darlings all day! LOL
With our own birds, 2 budgies and a finch, it is mostly "droppings" that we CONSTANTLY pick up! But we are nevertheless still holding on to our tennis club memberships!
Thanks for the smile!! I couldn't stop laughing from the start! SO funny how he "throws" them in the sink like that. No wonder he doesn't startle himself:) The noise makes it even more funny. I agree, definately no glass for him, LOL. What a cutie! The music was a perfect fit. This is definately one of my favorite videos on Youtube!
Thank you Anhinga78: I'm very pleased, 'cause that's the point! I had the greatest fun making this movie, simply because I couldn't stop laughing all the while...
I guess Daimon is not authorized to do the dishes LOL! Although, you never know, his style might well be more delicate than Bidule's... (Note that my sister takes away all the breakables from the sink area before opening Bidule's cage.)
As you surely know, a toothbrush is a useful tool for cleaning bird accessories in the hard-to-reach-places. He also handles the rags (because my sister does) and I had footage of that but it turned out to be too out of focus. (Greys are shy by nature so I have to stand back and zoom when filming.)
How sweet.

That's unbelievable. I mean, I know parrots sometimes imitate human behavior, but to this extent? I've never seen anything like it.

That's what I think! Can't stop laughing each time I see Bidule doing it for real, and can't stop laughing each time I see the movie!

Hee hee. Reminds me of my kitchen. I put the dishes to dry on the window like that too. Only budgies are allowed near them as mine are ceramic.

That's so funny. I especially liked the footage of him holding the toothbrush.

I LOVE the new HD, but can't even watch any of them if they're over a minute or so. And I'm supposed to have a super fast connexion...
