The Robin Hood film by Ridley Scott was excellent. I didn't expect too much but it really delivered. Far more original than I thought it was going to be.
Wales is an excellent place to film, although if it was filmed there I have no idea why they couldn't get some real Welsh (and other regional) people in it... the accents were the one flaw in the film.
@333mojo333 Actually, those boats were originally developed from viking prows and then had gates and ramps on the front. They are historically accurate. I could be watching Saving Private Ryan and say "WW2 hulk ships...really?"
and this was the part were me and my mates got chucked ff that part of the beach for surfing, i shouted at some guy .. and then they sent us elsewhere .. cunts.
Amazing footage you're so lucky you got to see so much, saw the film yesterday and thought it was ace, Russell Crowe played the role perfectly. I thought when I was watching it that the locations must be abroad but low and behold I got home went and Wiki and found it all filmed here. Makes me love the film even more :D
Great imagery and powerful use of the violin solo. I'm not sure it said Robin Hood to me, but as a mini-film it was still great. Personally I like short films better. AG
Gee paul that was really interesting, certainly I was perplexed like so many more, that ww11 landing craft can not be authentic surely historic hollywood liscence being used here surely and since when is Nottingham any where near the sea ?,confused of Spain lol, otherwise damn good filming on your part, when the movie comes out my eyes will be searching the sand dunes looking for your head and video camera. hahaha
Fabulous, great music, what amazed me is why there is no horse shit? All those horses on the beach and not a scrap of it in sight, they must employ someone to scurry around and scoop it up
Wow, Paul, this is absolutely spectacular. The panoramic shot at 2:38 is superb....Sir Ridley should use it in his film! However, I hope he edits out the boat motors in his footage. LOL. Great pacing and photography and editing and music, my friend! Straight into my faves!
Excellent as always Paul, but could I suggest the addition of a speech bubble at 1:18 something along the lines of "Come on if you think you're hard enough!...I'll take you all on"!
Paul...Thanks for sharing and putting up the footage you have. It's great to see our Cornish surf boat lads are keeping up with some sort of training while they are playing at "being film stars"
i live right by this beach i walk my dog on here most weekends

One moment Welsh, then Irish... then Northern...

The ww2 looking landing craft might be replaced with cgi and to double the amount of horsemen.

Excellent footage. Worthy of a DVD extra. Any chance of filming your work in widescreen? You deserve it.
