@Pajokid Nope it's an optical illusion. Go to one with a spirit level, it's easy to prove. It would take an extremely strong magnetic force to move a car

@Pajokid - wtf are people on about magnetic forces, it's the classic False Rise illusion, where visual cues make a downhill road look like an uphill road.

Check it with a spirit level or even a bucket of water, if you ever get to see one.

I live near there, and I love the magic hill!

Even though it's not magic, and it's actually ridiculous how many almost accidents there are when you come over the hill and there's a hape of tourists out with cameras and spirit levels just standing in the middle of the road. =]

To all people who dont believe this, it is real.. i was there today and our Volkswagen Bora went backwards at 20Km/h! its amazing, i suppose its some magnetic field or something but its really awesome i suggest everybody who lives in Ireland to visit it

I had some friends take me to that hill when I visited Dundalk and as I sat in the pasenger seat, my friend turned off the car's ignition. We actually rolled up hill from the bottom. I know it's an opticial illusion, cars are not suppose to roll up hill, BUT trust me the ilusion is real. We actually rolled up hill from a dead stop from the bottom. Thanks for the video, I can say I've actually seen it for real.

travel along M1 to exit "dundalk North". At roundabout turn onto Greenore/Carlingford road. After 3 miles pass petrol station on right and take next left turn. Veer right after 200m and continue straight for 1/2 mile. go trough staggered crossroads, up hill for 1/2 mile to the "magnetic hill". Give it a try - its cool!

Seriously, this one is real. The angle is a bit crummy but I know it's real cause I have donethis on this hill a number of times. I found it hard to believe at first even thoughI was in the car going up the hill at the time.
