@psginc1 Well to inform you, the fire alarm system told us to stay, and as well as the security in the gate. If it said to leave, believe me, my mom would make me leave. But I am now being told by someone else that is was a near-by forest fire, and the smoke got in the airports air ducts, setting off the duct detectors.

@megastarLV there's a metal path on each side so the controller presses an emergency stop button then a doors open. They then walk along the path and climb down some steps. Have you ever been?

I remember waiting for my flight back home, and one of the fire doors or whatever were opened, and the alarm was tripped. It wasn't this alarm, but it was more like a continuous whooping noise. We just stayed still. I was thinking "Someone turn that thing off!"

@Punisher106 Oh yeah! That stinks. That siren you heard was the siren on the door alerting someone used the emergency fire exit, so there might be a fire. Thats why they have a siren, to alert emergency personal.

What Terminal was this? When I was flying in through AirTran the fire alarm was going off. Apparently there was a Forest fire near the airport and the vents were sucking in the smoke triggering the alarm in the air duct system. It smelled bad. >.<

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, (Mormon), and one time I was at church, at our stake center, for stake conference, and while the stake president was speaking, a child pulled the fire alarm!!! NO one went out side!!! We all stayed in our seats!!! I was wondering why none of us went out side!!! When we are in school, they train us to go out side, but when we are at someplace like church or at an airport, everyone stays inside!!! I do not get why that happens!
