1. the thing about the sweaters is that the chipmunks are only about 3 feet tall, so they wear human sweaters that go all the way down to their feet.

2. alvin's sweater is the only one with a letter on it for the same reason he is the only one with a hat, he is the leader. it's called "alvin AND the chipmunks after all.

3. alvin causes the most trouble, so dave has to yell at him the most.

If anyone's interested. I wrote a sequel to this movie on fan fiction dot net. It's called "The Return of Dr. Frankenstein". How is Alvin going to get out of this one? Suspenseful and dramatic as well as hair raising in some scenes, "The Return of Dr. Frankenstein." should be a hit with fans of the original movie. However due to some scary scenes I've rated it T.
