All humans actually evolved from a common ancestor about two hundred thousand years ago. Why would you post something as a fact without knowing it to be true?
This is an example of a reflexive imitation capacity. Don't quote me, because I am just a research assistant, but they think this ability is a sort of precursor to the abilities mediated by the mirror neuron system in adult monkeys.
There's no way the monkey is trying to imitate. It's surprised when the human suddently starts opening the mouth, and the monkey is making nervous chewing movements. Not imitation!

My comment was referring to the common ancestor of the chimpanzee and human, which is estimated to be 7 million years.
You are referring to the actual split between homo sepians (modern humans) and other homos.
