  • is anyone else about to watch THE BOURNE SERIES

    HELL YEAH

  • Turner Field.....The house that Chipper built.

  • Chipper has been my hero ever since I could remember.

  • Love the idea. I'm a HUGE Chipper Jones fan!

HOWEVER--- whoever tagged that pic at 0:49 as Chipper's first career homerun is dead wrong. That's a Colorado Rockie's catcher in the pic.

Chipper's first career homerun was on April 9, 1995 at Shea Stadium (against the Mets). A game winning, solo shot to put the Braves up 3-2.

  • Awesome picture for a poster at :30.

  • hahaha this reminds me of the bourne identity.

  • Cant wait for that day, i am gonna miss him so much...........My Favorite Player in all Sports.

  • Personally, I think it would be fitting to see Chipper retire after this season since Bobby Cox is as well. Those two have done great things for the Atlanta franchise over the last two decades, and it would be great if those two were to go into the Hall of Fame at the same time.

  • @MeantToRun1041 ... After today's news, (Chipper's MRI results), I would be willing to bet that is what will happen. Gonna miss both of them a lot.

  • One if the best pure hitters to ever play the game. Right now he is considering retiring, he is hittinh .255, 7 homers, and 37 RBIs, it is a shame that he can retire , but I am hoping he gets real hot and play at least another season.

    Go Braves!

  • agree with you there 110 %

  • u shouldve has some pics of him while he was on the richmond braves, (now called the flyying squirrels)

  • hes a hall of famer

  • Put it this way if chipper played his entire career with the Yankee's instead of the Braves, I know it would NEVER HAPPEN! But if he did he would be recognized as the best hitter since the 40's and experts would consider him to be just as great as the BABE himself, Just my opinion though.

  • Yeah Chipper is the best switch hitter in baseball,In my opinion even better than mick mantle because mickey NEVER faced as great pitchers as the pitchers today and with modern rules.

  • @zvenom91 im a die hard braves fan but your an idiot

  • 1st ballot hall of famer for sure. Mark my words chipper bounces back this year and leads atlanta to another world series win. Bobby Cox goes out a champion.

  • Nah, the best Atlanta Braves team was durin' the 90's & early 00's when they had both...JONES'S!!!, J-Lo, Galarraga, Klesko, Brett BOONEY Gooney, Walt Weiss, Justice, Gant, Glavine, Smoltz, Maddux, Wohlers, the late great Caminiti, Castilla, Renteria, Furcal, M. Giles, & the best Braves manager of all-time: Bobby Cox

  • Prob the most underrated player ever! He is the man and he WAS the Braves offense basically his whole career. Great all around player to. The Man. Period.

  • the best player ever

  • lol he grew up in my home town, and i shook his hand as a little kid

  • boy, the 07 braves had so much starpower they should have gone all the way. just think. Francoer was an all star , chipper, andruw jones, edgar renteria, smoltzey. come on braves fans. what do ya think. pls comment.

  • also texiera

  • Yeah but Andruw Jones killed the 07 braves chances of making the playoffs,Hes the only player in Andruw who would swing so damn hard that he would fall down.

  • you have not only chipper jones, but ken griffey jr and derek jeter, even pujols who are clean and great all around players. chipper has a shot at 500hrs b4 he's done, but he will be a hall of famer no matter what. versatile and attempting to play LF is great. he even wanted to put himself at SS if Walt Weiss (a SS fielder great) were to need a resting day back in late 90s.

  • chipper is the best. HOFer

  • yaya

  • haha if chipper hates toronto why would you care enough to look him up to talk trash?Did it make you feel better?

  • ok. and chipper has how many hrs? and i belive the term 'lock'....as in hall of fame.....? i love the way your ignorance shows!:-) a redneck who's travelled the world.

  • i'm a huge baseball fan and chiper jones is going to be in the hall of fame somday soon.

  • obviously

  • Chipper is a class act all the way. Great player and a good guy. Doesn't do steroids or try and grab headlines like Bonds or Manny do. Chipper even moved from infield to outfield just to make room for Furcal ( I think ) Who else has made a sacrifice for a team member in recent history? You ARE and ALWAYS WILL BE DA MAN CHIP !!!

  • It was Vinny Castilla. He was signed to play third and Chipper unselfishly moved to left field. Some say that's what progressed his leg problems. He's still the best in all the ways u said.

  • Second that. Vinny had a prerogative since he had several golden glove awards as thirdbaseman. Chipper used those seasons to progress his leg problems.

    Chipper is all-time favourite player.

  • Good point, not trying to be a dick, just help you out, he made way for Vinny Castilla at 3rd, cuz it's was Chippers idea to bring him there for more power, but yes, Chipper is the BOMB.

  • chipper the best 3rd base.. is fantastic

  • Good stuff. I got to meet him once. I was DJing a wedding for his (then) mother-in-law. The Braves were playing at Turner that night. Wasn't sure he'd make it. Maddux made it a short game though. His wife introduced me. He was bummed because he went 0-3, but he still danced.

Bride wanted Hokey Pokey, so I launched into it while he was still on the dance floor. Good fun.

He's a credit to the game, and richly deserves to be in Cooperstown.

  • I LOVE LARRY WAYNE "CHIPPER" JONES!!!!!!!!! =]] I play softball, #10 and 3rd base, pitcher, and center field!! :D

    I LOVE MY BRAVES!!!!

  • GO BRAVES IN 2009!!!!!

  • chipper will be in the HOF one day. all of his fans including me will be either cryin or screamin on that day.

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • Extreme Ways by Moby

  • same. i wear number #10 too

  • Great job on the video! I love Chipper!! He's like my favorite sports player in the whole world. He's the reason why I play third base and wear #10! Good video, though.

  • Lol same here, but I'm #28, not 10. I don't really like 10.
